Impromptu visit today , felt very safe. Sanitizer station as you walk through the entrance and not overly crowded so keeping your distance wasnt a problem. Absolutely beautiful xmas display as you walk in the door and a few room sets too which are amazing. Must have taken some work putting it all together. Didnt have much time to spend in there but will definitely be back soon.
Whoever puts all that together deserves a pat on the back....fabulous!!!

Live forty minutes away but never been before. Extremely large premises both indoor and outdoor. Varied goods including a number of franchises from nationally prominent businesses. Large refreshment area run in-house.

Very dissapointing, took my boys here for the santas grotto. They loved the experience, we thought we would feed out boys at the cafe but were greeted in a rude manner, we were told to move away from hot food area as they were not open until 4pm. This was fine but we spoke to in a terrible manner, we then bought sandwiches and hot drinks, we wete given the wrong drink incorrects vhange and a muffin with green mould on it. A member of staff took it away and said what do you want me to do... it was extremely rude, no apology just attitude. Spoke to the manager and got a formal apology and a refund for the muffin and incorrect drink. Jus feel really dissapointed as previously thought highly of this garden centre until I ate in the cafe. Wouldnt give any stars or reccomend.

Winter is not a good time to visit a garden center. I should add to that comment. We visited in January, it is a drab time of year for gardens. The post Christmas lull is upon us and it's cold and dark. At all other times its a great place to go to.

Lovely place, great variety and not extortionately expensive some centres.
They have a cafe too. And they also have an outdoor play centre for children which is great. Plus you can take your own food along too so this helps to keep costs down!

Good selection of tools and plants and the coffee in the cafe was good. Shame the view outside the cafe was tired and looked a bit neglected. They should take a leaf out of the the Arium's book. Lots of coloutful plants to see from their cafe.

If you like service station catering this is fine but not for me. Lovely spacious areas with lots of tables. However, noise is very loud - no dividers to break it up - noice seems to bounce around and get louder. Being half term it was of course busy and noisy but became overpowering.

We arrived 1015 and half the cafe was closed - the nicer half - open at 11am so we had to wait. We did sit in half that was open but unpleasantly noisy.

The ordering system is broken up so you order at one place, collect drinks at another then take heavy tray across to till where there is only room for one person to put down their tray so you have to stand holding a heavy tray.

Ordered fish - ok nothing special .Won't be returning.

We went for Maidenhead aquatics. It is ok for basic things but very over priced for more specialist fish. Wednesday is 10% discount for OAPs so the car park was very busy. The restaurant is over priced and basic food, reasonable coffee. (probably normal price with discount)

This was the first time in years that I've been to tong Garden centre and wow its changed. Spacious, light and clean. Even though the car park was full of cars, inside didn't seem busy. The cafe clean, service quick, food hot and tables were always being tidied quickly.

Grasshoppers: Great day out but when the sun is out there is very little shade and no breeze so gets very hot very quick. Theres a sand area, park, bouncing pillow and car play area. Plenty of picnic benches and places to sit if you want to eat.

The garden centre itself seems good, we had gone with the intention of stocking our fish tank. This was our second trip from Skipton this week to look at the fish. We had decided which fish we wanted but decided to have a cup of tea first. More

Grasshoppers at Tong Garden Centre. Kids absolutely loved it here. Plenty to occupy the children, sand pit, play area, bouncing area... Indoor cafe is lovely, snackbar outside covers the essentials. Plenty of seating, though I wish more of it was shaded. More development underway to create more activity spaces too.

This place is almost a day out in its own right, you can spend hours walking round, with plenty to see inside and out and if you need a break the cafe is excellent. Fantastic selection of goods from food to clothes to fish tanks to plants and everything inbetween. They are just in the process of setting up for Christmas and it looks spectacular, but be aware that weekends are incredibly busy and the place gets packed (you have been warned).
