Staff is helpful and they have everything you could want. Some of the stuff is pricey but do your research first because they will price match summit and jegs.
Have to like it, it's the only speed shop in town. Been 15 years since I had been in last, not one person I knew worked there anymore. The end of an era.
Awesome old school auto parts/ high performance parts shop! They price matched Summit Racing. Had the part I needed and was knowledgeable about installation. Would rather help a small business than a major parts supplier any day.
Are you looking for something, that auto parts stores don't carry? Check out Tognotti's. I found the 2-part coil spring spreaders, when every auto parts store didn't even know what I was talking about. A $1500 repair ended up costing me $50. The spreaders increased the camber so the wheels rolled flat.
They also have "custom" upholstery services for $250 per row; a little more for leather.
If you're a Car Buff or have Collector Cars, this is the place to get whatever you need. And unlike those franchise stores, these employees know about cars. Slow check out lines, but excellent customer service.
Always good, used to be really busy and when I called to make sure they had what I needed the guy couldn't pull what I wanted because he said he was pretty busy, 2 customers in the store... I remember 5 to 10 customers waiting for the parts counter, guess he didn't believe that I'd be right in
I ordered a Caterpillar fuel filter adapter from Sinister Diesel. The quality and the easy to understand directions was a big plus. I have since lost my diesel, but when I get another one I plan to get all my parts from them.
I've been going to tognotti's for years. 40 to be exact. I know they've been in business for over 50 years. This is the place I go for all my hotrod and classic car parts. They have a good prices on Holly and Edelbrock carburetors. Even though this place is a little far to go for me it's still is the best hot rod shop in all of Sacramento and surrounding areas.
Needed a battery cable terminal. They had so many to choose from and i couldnt remember how many wires needed to go in it ... So i bought three. Of course it was the cheapest one so i returned the others. Returning parts was easy enough just took me going in to the cashier who processes the return producing two pieces of paper which i then had to take to the back counter. At the back counter i handed the guy the paperwork and then he processed that paperwork and handed me two new papers which i then had to take back up to the cashier, who then did some more data entry and then returned my money. Only took about 20 minutes ....
Unfriendedly and unhelpful. Most of the parts are over priced and under quality; it is an older warehouse filled with products that appear to be sitting there for a decade or more. Was willing to pay a little extra amd buy from here instead of Amazon. My recommendation is just buy from Amazon or another vender that will actually help you get the parts you need.
Tognotti do carry more variety of car products and you have more options when it comes to choosing. But the best I can rate this place is a 3 star do to short staff. I shop here once or twice a month, but every time I m there there's just no one around to help me.
Came in to Buy a set of Tires for my my 1969 Corvette and the over the counter gentlemen came and helped me decide what specific tires to get and I ended up special ordering the tires that had the red painted line on them due to not being in stock. Good Service would come back
ALWAYS A GREAT SHOPPING XPERIENCE !, FOR YEARS I'VE BEEN A CUSTOMER N THEY ALWAY'S TREAT ME THE SAME .. LIKE A VALUABLE CUSTOMER .. SO YOU WANT A GREAT PLACE TO GET YOUR AUTO PART'S !, ( TOGNOTTI'S ) IS FOR YOU ..
This has the potential of being a really cool auto parts store. Because of the amount of inventory they carry on hand. They have about 20 different types of front drivers passenger racing seats. They also carry fireproof racing suits racing helmets racing fuel cells. As well as a full parts department. The one problem I did have was that the service freaking sucks. I've been in there multiple times asking for certain parts and they just give me half-assed answers telling me I can order parts because it doesn't exist what I am a mechanic and I know better what I went in there I wasn't dressed as a mechanic since it was the weekend. Just an example I asked for a transmission cooler line and they told me they didn't have one and I couldn't order the part needed because I have to order the whole line which is complete BS. I also asked if they had the transmission oil cooler line tool that removes the line because the line has a quick disconnect feature which makes it a pain in the ass. They told me they did not prove that tool so I went and looked found the tool unfortunately all the others were in stock but the one I needed wasn't in stock but it was still there in theory. A huge disappointment. It is only price your side unfortunately and with an automotive store having someone that doesn't care on whether your going to be getting your part is a big deal breaker for me. I think I'll just stick to my usuals Car Quest and Napa Auto Parts.
The man who helped me find the headlight rejuvenate products had great info about them, was really honest about the different products, and made a fantastic recommendation (the kit I bought worked like a dream to clear the headlights). I really appreciated he treated me like a person instead of just a customer to sell something to. I d highly recommend this place. They also had a really extensive inventory.
This place is a hit and miss most of the dudes there think they are hot stuff and act like they are doing you a favor by helping you, but once in a while you get a cool person to help you. On the upside the place is huge and they have lots of inventory.
Walked in looking for window tint and I had John (hope I remember right) help me find it. By the end of my visit John had helped me with completely unrelated audio questions I had even though he gained nothing from it. Johns a cool guy definitely deserves a bump on his check.
They didnt have the part I needed, but that would have been alright, if it wasn't for the second guy who got on the phone and had an attitude right off the bat.
Came In to get my bottles of Nitrous refilled and was helped immediately. Took 15 minutes to get both bottles filled while getting helped at the register with some questions about upgrading to a bigger kit and the interchangeable parts. Very good service, helpful and knowledgeable staff.
They are nice upfront the lady's were but, the men in the back didn't know what I was asking for and where stuff was at in their. One man would send me to someone else and that someone else sent me to another person who didn't know what I was talking about. I found what I needed at the store however the price was over priced.
