I have no complaints other than they serve disgusting powdered eggs daily for breakfast. They tend to be short staffed daily, there are not enough CNA's to cover too many times. On a positive note, the physical rehab is top notch, no matter who you work with. The LPN's I had all were willing to go above and beyond.

My direct view of the staff was fine. Everyone I was seeing knew their jobs, and were kind with the residents. I have no major concerns at this point. I brought one issue up to the receptionist. The administration responded to me within a half hour. My family member complained about an attendant to me (not sure if nurse/aid). Not sure how they are handling that.
When a family member is in a recovery center/care home, it is always a good move to keep your presence known. If you are paying attention, the staff tend to keep in line. I won t say yes or no yet on this facility, but we are not having issues as of this writing.

The person running the place is an extremely rude human being. My boyfriend went in asking for a job and he was nothing but rude for no reason. He even went to the extent of calling him unemployable. I highly don't recommend using their services.

My brother was just recently admitted to the facility and I have been very impressed with all the staff I met from the folks in Admissions to the RN's, Aides and Therapists that work directly with him. The Center is clean and every patient I saw was treated with respect and caring.

I wanted to thank the entire staff at Colonial Park Care Center for the EXCELLENT care they have provided to both my grandmothers, who spent several weeks in rehabilitation here. The staff had their hands FULL with these two sassy ladies! The doctors, nurses, & aides are competent, and kindly responded to any concerns. The facility is clean and welcoming. I'd like to extend special recognition to the Administrator, Mr. Brett Shibley, and his supporting staff, for the many improvements made at CPCC over the past few years since my grandfather lived here. The efficient & friendly front office staff; Paige, ladies in Admissions, PT staff, is GREAT! Tiffany & Activities crew, & the SALON! Thank you everyone for being so AWESOME at what you do!

Disgusting place that needs to be shut down.

Disgusting place that needs to be shut down.
My grandmother was transferred here from the hospital. Upon arriving here, they had none of her medication, and said they wouldn't until the next day. Nurses were extremely rude. They also refused to allow her to go to the bathroom, they threw a bed pan at her and walked away. They also didn't have a bed for her either. She was in her wheel chair most of the night.
After walking outside and coming back in from trying to make arrangements to take her elsewhere or home, i had other residents begging me to take them out of this place. I also saw a man sound asleep in his wheel chair in the hallway.
The next morning when we came back to take her out of this hell hole, the nurses were still extremely rude and still had none of her medication. (She needed heart medication, diabetic and other meds)
We grabbed what few things she had and put her in her wheel chair and walked out. The nurses started screaming we can't do this and we need to sign papers. I told the nurses where to go and walked out.

I would only recommend this place if yourself or someone you know wants to die in misery.

I am pleased with the Dr who handles my mother care. I do get very concerned when I call the nurses station and there is no answer on either line. Trust and know there is no question that the staff is busy. Perhaps a voice mail box can handle the calls of concerned family members. This would be proactive and ease our minds and save a drive to voice our concerns.

Worthless Head staff, rude to residents. Don't care about the staff that does care. I have worked in nursing homes never go by first impressions talk to the real staff, the one who will be taking care of your parent/s. Office staff will always make things look good for the money......always ask the nursing staff what type of care they give...10/10 They will be honest. No I don't work here, I know someone who does.

Not enough staff to give each individual appropriate care. Wait 1 hour or more for pain. Meds, not as represented in web-site,, have to ask different staff many times to get answers and aging facility. Make sure you ask for the cost of transport before using it!

My Mom has been at Colonial Park Care Center for about 4 years now. She has early onset alzheimer's. There are a lot of different challenges that arise with younger dementia and alzheimer's patients. The staff at Colonial Park Care Center have been truly a blessing to our family because they really care about my mom and her well being. She has been happy and well cared for which takes an enormous weight off our families shoulders. When we come visit with her we can spend quality time with her. I really believe the staff here are all very professional and helpful, they treat you like they would their own family. I receive calls for updates and any changes with my mom. This nursing home is very clean and they have lots of organized activities for the residents. Thank you for providing peace of mind for us!

I pray this facility is shut down after watching a family member being abuse, tormented by a staff member and then posting on Facebook.

My mother has been at Colonial Park Care Center for four years. She started in rehab but eventually moved to the Memorary Impaired Unit. My experiences have been good. I make it a point and priority to stay involved in my mother's care. The staff are all very professional and helpful, I've even built wonderful relationships with them; which I think is very helpful and important. I receive calls and documented letters of any changes, I've never received any "push back" regarding any of my questions or concerns. The facility is kept very clean and lots of organized activities for the residents. My mother always compliments how clean and shiny the floors are . I am confident that my Mother is safe and well taken care of.

I worked there as a cna right when I graduated. At first the bald headed guy who ran the place hired me on the spot! I was so happy till I found out this man made working there a nightmare! He would come infront of the nurses and say, "Who am I going to fire today?! He was always hitting on the women. It was told he was fired from his last job for sexual assault. When we would see him coming dow. The hall the residents would hide us! He made it a very hostile working environment. I left before he could hurt my reputation. He didn't like me because I wouldn't indulge him in any way shape or form. I was waiting on a resident. I was helping this resident to the doctors. I was leaning my back against the wall for about a few minutes to fix my shoe. As I was coming back up This bald headed guy who ran the place and who hired me said, " Are you holding up the wall?" But his tone was light and playful and he smiled at me. I joked and said , "yes sir! Doing my best! I put my hands on the wall as a joke. Then he turned around and said," If that's the case then u can leave through the front door" and I stood perfectly straight and said "no sir I am ok" my resident was out and ready. When I came back the nurse of the unit asked me to come with her and said "what happened ?" I said the resident visit was fine. She said "no the head of the building came to me yelling that you are lazy and I should send you home" I told her what happened that i thought he was joking then went back to work. Another hr later the head nurse of the whole building asked me to come with her and asked What happened. I couldn't believe this....over leaning my back on the wall for 5 mins fixing my shoe. This bald headed pervert trashed talked me saying "If she doesn't want to work, get rid of her!" I told her he was joking with me, it was just a joke and she had fear in her eyes and she said no...he never jokes! He once brought the WHOLE staff of nurses in to his front office to scream at them, because he talked to a dementia patient who said she was sitting in her poop for hours and us the aids were abusing her by letting her sit in it. The nurses cleaned this woman up to see if we did clean her and she had nothing in her pants. 2 cna per hall which is 8 to 12 patients for lil pay. Run away as fast as you can! Unless you like to be abused. He even asked my Co worker who we kill it when we work together, "so do you think your a good worker?" She said, yes I am!" And he smirked and replied, "we will see....."

I would like to share my "farm raised" Mother and my "urban chic" experiences with Colonial Park Care Center (CPCC).

My Mother has 98 years of caring for people under her belt. This is one of the reasons she is so comfortable as a resident of CPCC. She has seen a great deal of change in personnel over the years. But one thing remains the same, the dedication of the Director to provide the residents with staff that have chosen geriatric care and do so with respect and patience.
I don't hand out Kudos very often, but in this case Kudos to Mr. Shibley, Ted, Julie, Paige. the recreation/activities staff, the RNs & LPNs (Jennifer who survived a horrific car accident and came back to CPCC), Dr. Sahi, the home maintenance staff, the therapy crew and the aides that my Mom cares about as she does me. I would thank the kitchen staff but my Mommy doesn't eat but she does enjoy your coffee!

Yes there have been instances in the past where I was not in agreement with situations, but they were always handled in a professional and fair manner. Also over the years I can see improvements to the building, parking and the property landscaping caretaking.

I would not and believe me, she wouldn't let me have CPCC as her home if either of us did not have confidence in Colonial Park Care Center.

PLUSES: The staff at CPCC are fantastic! All of the doctors, nurses and therapists we encountered were friendly, caring and compassionate in everything they did for my father. Dr. Sahi, Julie (social worker), Ashley and Myls from PT and OT, Kathy and George the 2nd floor nurses, and Tyler the unit manager all made a great impression on all of us.
MINUSES: If you admit a family member, pay close attention to what the kitchen sends them at meal time. My fathers meals were missing items on several occasions and he even got someone else's meal once. The water brought for tea or coffee was warm at best and the chicken broth packets they use make some of the worst chicken broth EVER made. I was told that there are significant changes coming in the kitchen department so hopefully that proves to be true. ALSO, the bedside manner of some the aides/assistants tended to be a bit on the rough side so be cognizant of that. That certainly doesn't mean all of them, or with any regularity, but there are a couple of aides/assistants there who can be rough and pushy with the patients at times.
Overall my family gives CPCC very high marks in almost all areas. There are just one or two areas that could use some improvement. But the impression we got from those in charge tells me that the shortcomings (minuses) mentioned here will be attended to.

Page the receptionist is a breathe of fresh air with the warming welcome as you enter. The office staff are super friendly and love my kids every time we come to visit a family member. The residents seem happy and well taken care of. They have all sorts of activities for the residents and parties for the holidays. It's very clean environment.

I'm surprised at th other comments. I must say that they must be judging some of th workers. My father was in that care center after I REMOVED him from Golden Living. I did have 2 report 1 of th aides there, but I had built a relationship with th floor manager and told her I didn't want that particular person working with my father anymore and she granted my wishes. Now I have a close family friend there and she has no complaints at all. Th low rating, in my opinion, is because people tend not 2 take th time 2 post positive comments because it's expected that a "care facility" will take good care of it's patients. And also, some elderly people don't want 2 make water fearing th repercussions, and finally, any facility is only as good as it's employees. I would recommend this care facility 2 others.

Not sure I would give this place even 1 star. The night staff is absolutely horrible and nasty to patients. I have witnessed my loved one asking for help to the bathroom and not receiving any. I have also witnessed my loved ones roommate buzzing the staff because they messed themself and an hour and half later was still sitting in their mess, a paitent sliding out of their chair and when asked for help up the nurse said "you will have to wait my shift is over" and walked outta the room. This is all by the night time staff. Do not send your love ones to this facility!

My grandpa stays at this nursing home, I went in for an interview for housekeeping and I had my head sitting in my hand waiting patiently and quietly and this GUY comes out and asks me How he can help me I say "I'm already being taking care of thank you!" and I smile and he says to me "Do you always have your head down?" I smile again and say "no" and he says "don't do that" and I smile YET AGAIN and ask him why thinking he was going to make a funny joke about how it is bad for your posture and he gets offended telling me I'm Unprofessional and that I no longer have an interview. APPARENTLY from what I heard all of the employees there do not like him HE IS A BULLY A BALD HEADED BULLY. He is having a power trip. I did not deserve to be treated like that and to be made to feel so small! I do not even care about the job anymore, this is about principle and I called HR and if HR doesn't take care of this then I will keeping going up and up until this issue is fixed.

My Mother has been at their facility now for the past 3 weeks after a recent fall. When I visit I'm always impressed by the caring staff and cleanliness of facility. When I speak to my Mother regarding the level of care and rehab she is receiving she has only good things to say. If your looking for a place to care and comfort a loved one, I highly recommend you consider Colonial Park Care Center.
