Quality and atmosphere were good. Food presentation was nice, but we got too many fries and not enough milkshake.

Just walked around the course briefly. Didn't stay there and didn't play at all. Nice course though.

French fries are amazing, especially table fries. Burger was alright, I think I'd order something different next time. #2- Went back a second time, and ordered the plain burger, was a lot better!

Golf course is in excellent condition. Top notch facility.

Our group met at The Field for a small celebration. Everyone was accommodating, the atmosphere was wonderful and we all have plans to come back. You have to get the fries, and maybe the giant pretzel!

The hotel and facility were fine, but the customer service was awful. We paid premium money ($650 / night) to stay at this resort over our visit from Wisconsin. We were placed in a room directly above the giant washing machines for the resort that vibrated our room while sleeping. We called the front desk and they said they would look into making an adjustment on our room charge. When checking out, the GM Stefan Cherinka then said that they wouldn't make an adjustment and if we wanted one, we would have to call Expedia to complain about our experience, even though I explained that I booked my room through American Express. They did not care about helping us or ensuring that we had a great experience.

Had dinner at The Farm in the Toftrees. Not my first time going there. Food was delicious as usual. Tried the regular peanut butter cookies milkshake and was completely satisfied. Look forward to my next visit. Always great service.

We recently stayed for a week over Thanksgiving and everything was very nice. Our room was huge, almost too big. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We got stuck in a snow storm so having the Fields there with good food was a plus.
Prices were reasonable. The room was clean and spacious. If I had any complaints it would be the bed could have been a bit softer but then again, I like my Tempurpedic so anything else for a week would be a stretch. The only other thing is I wish we would have had a microwave in our room. There was certainly room for it and with the snow storm, heating up left overs from the Field would have been nice.

Had breakfast at the The Field restaurant service and food are outstanding. Highly recommend.

A top rated public course in PA. It's challenging and diverse, with a variety of hole styles. Front 9 plays pretty straight and the back 9 favors lefties (11, 13, 18 are dogleg left). Worth the money every time!

Excellent food (especially the fries). However, expect to wait awhile to get your food, if it's busy. Otherwise, it is a great overall lunch/dinner spot.

We ate at their restaurant called the field. It was absolutely delicious!

During a recent visit (July 5-6) the air quality in the room was sub-standard. It was especially bad for my wife who has COPD.
A/C units are in need of upgrading.

We always go to the bar for burgers, milkshakes (with or without alcohol) and table fries! Great atmosphere and food!!

Attended a friend's wedding here. The atmosphere was enjoyable and made for a good venue. The catered food also went over well with the other guests.

My husband and I stayed at Toftrees for two nights while at a conference (mid-week November 2014). The room was clean and quiet. There were sufficient electrical outlets and a thoughtfully placed surge protector on the desk (much appreciated). The shower had great water pressure with plenty of hot water. Our gracious housekeeper Gordon was attentive to the needs of the guests. The price was a conference rate and a very good value for the room and surroundings (we have paid more for much less). The staff were friendly and helpful when asked for assistance or information. We had several buffet meals provided by Toftrees for our conference. The meals were flavorful. The skirt steak and chicken offering were very good. There were plenty of viable (not fast food) dining options in the area too. I respectfully disagree with some of the "not so nice" reviews I read online. We had a positive experience. #toftrees

Toftrees Golf Resort has a restaurant called The Field which serves delicious burgers and fries.

Went to eat at the Field and absolutely loved the burger I ordered. So delicate and juicy. Their fries are stellar. This place has a great atmosphere and is gorgeous. Get there early before they fill up, cause they have great food!

Went to The Field and had an amazing dinner. Really cool atmosphere and great food.

Great burgers. Different twist with blue cheese on nachos. (Really good). Atmosphere great too.

Overall nice place. Some aspects outdated. The rooms overall nice. Bed was ok but room comfortable. Friendly staff. The Fields restaurant really nice.

Golf facilities are nice. The rooms and washrooms are dated, though. Rooms need renovation to be up to date with other resorts.

I had dinner at the Field with some friends the other night. The service was great and the food was even better! Would recommend.

We visited The Field for supper. Great atmosphere and views, and even though it's a gourmet burgers and alcoholic shakes place, you can definitely bring your family. We had the ginormous sized crab fries- they literally dump them on table over a sheet of paper- and the kitchen accidentally over seasoned them. Like I couldn't feel my tongue and my lips were tingly after a handful. We just explaines how salty they were politely asked for new fries after eating some. The server was instantly apologetic and complied easily. Even the manager came over and apologized and took care of immediately refilling our drinks because of course we were thirsty from the excess salt. We didn't raise our voices or demand the manager or anything, but the kitchen staff and servers and manager took such great, fast care of us and brought back an entire new bucket of fries even though our family (of four) had already gone through 1/3 or 1/2 of the first salty bucket before becoming too overcome. The manager continued to check in with us, joke with us, and even apologize for the first bucket of heavy crab fries. To be honest, it kind of made me feel special to be chatting with the manager. We left stuffed and with tons of leftovers. I also left with one of their non-alcholoc milkshakes to go, which I highly recommend for dessert no matter how full you are.

One of the absolute best restaurants in State College! Their burgers are fantastic, the crab fries were bursting with flavor, and I have yet to get something from the menu I didn't like. They have beers from local breweries too! The weekends definitely get busy, so if you can make it on a weekday I'd go then.

Had beer and fries at the bar. Happy's are 5 to 6. Service was good.

The Field Restaurant located inside of the resort is a great place to dine at. They serve an extensive menu of burgers and fries that taste great and fill you up.

Went for hard milkshakes. I didn't love them. Wouldn't go back for that. We also got fries, and those were good. Service was really good except we had to wait a wee bit too long for the check, which was odd to me. It was mid afternoon and not at all busy.

Cool restaurant. Good food and desserts. Reasonably priced. Great view of the course. Service was good.

Stopped by Toftrees while passing through. Was amazed by the beauty of the resort and golf course. Did not go inside or golf but gets a 5 star curb appeal rating from me.

Needs updating. Bathrooms are dated and not very clean. Hotel staff are very friendly though!

One of the nicer golf courses in the area and also one of the more expensive courses in the area.

Staff is super nice, friendly and give good advice. As a newby just beginning to learn, I feel comfortable here.

Not sure i would stay at Toftrees hotel again. The outdoor pool is very nice. But watch out for the hotel rooms: The door has a seal that you must break to enter the room and the seal says the room has been cleaned. But clean they are NOT; Found food in the mini fridge and a jogging bra IN THE BED. Not sure if or how they changed the sheets while leaving a jogging bra in the bed. And piles of soiled towels remained lying on the hallway floor outside guest rooms for more than 15 hours over the recent 4th of July weekend.

Beautiful, well manicured course. Two problems. First and tenth tee was littered with range balls and the course did not have a ranger to control pace of play. Took three hours to play the back nine as multiple holes were backed up by as many as three pairs.

Quick service for drinks. We did not eat, but the restaurant was very busy.

stayed multiple times for different events. The rooms are clean and well kept. Pool and tennis courts were excellent. Friends used golf course, said it was just perfect.The staff was excellent and restaurant was good.

Rooms were outdated. Old fixtures and bathtub needed to be replaced.

Had a company event here. The location was nice, food was good but their rooms could use a bit of work to make it easier for presenters with things like projectors

We are at the field for lunch and it was a great experience. Our server was a little slow but the food was great. We had the burgers and they were big, flavorful, and cooked exactly to our liking. Beer list is local and pretty diverse albeit not very big.

Amazing service. Only a few minutes wait even for a busy Saturday night. Great food for a moderate price but worth it for the atmosphere.

I went here once for a convention. It was a nice area with enough parking.

Lovely resort, but showing its age. Great staff - very accommodating. The rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable, and well kept. Conference facilities are nice as well.

We had 2 rooms. Both were clean and truly smoke-free. The interior of one room was fully updated. The second appeared to have some outlets yet to be updated. The staff was courteous and helpful.

What a disaster this place is. Old, dated, dirty, no security doors that work. Don t water your money here.

The field has great burgers and service. We were told 30-45 minutes and had a table for us withing 15 minutes. Excellent staff and menu.

Food could not have been better, was ready quickly after ordering, and the menu had a nice selection to pick from. Staff was pleasant and the restaurant maintained a relaxed atmosphere.

Had lunch with my family at "The Field", the bar and restaurant at Toftrees resort. They have amazing burgers, with a weekly burger special which is always awesome. Drinks include alcoholic milkshakes, a wide selection of beers, and a nice wine list. Service is always friendly, and I have never been disappointed here.

Great location, not far from airport, campus, or North Atherton businesses. Excellent restaurants with breakfast buffet but dinner only served until 10.
