There was an event going on in the next room and the music was pretty loud and bled into the restaurant. Service was nice, food was pretty decent. My date got really sick immediately at the end of dinner though, not sure yet if it was dehydration or the food, but my meal was fine.

The food and drinks are amazing! Get the table fries if you have at least 3 people because you get a ton but it is so worth it. The soft pretzel is ginormous and the dips go perfectly. The burgers are huge so you better be hungry if you get an appetizer before hand, though the venison chili is worth the over full feeling. The seating is spacious and the decor is modern country.
I felt that this hotel wasn't maintained at all. It wasn't what I expected. There are no elevators which would help with those with disabilities and/or children and stuff!!!! I was shocked there weren't any. The staff was wonderful both in the hotel and at the wedding reception we attended. No complaints about staff at all. Excellent. But I think it is time you concentrated more on the hotel than the golf course. Rooms are outdated, small, dark and just unimpressive.
While The Fields restaurant is good, the actual hotel consistenly smells like adamp basement. The need to change the carpet and improve the ventilation.
Love it, very clean specious rooms, had to get to get two rooms with 2 full beds each to accommodate my family. The towels are clean, however they leave traces of cotton on skin after use, the might be new or something else.
We ate a buffet breakfast at the Field and we're pleasantly surprised at the vast selection. They had things from fruit and premaid yogurt parfaits to scrambled eggs and potatoes. They even had an array of muffins, bagels, and breads. Their blueberry muffins are amazing!! The atmosphere was charming and welcoming, very lodge like. I would highly recommend!!
For $600 a night (welcome to supply and demand) we expected to at least have the room cleaned. When we checked in, the beds looked like they had just been slept in and the room smelled of stale air. We went to a late football game and returned after midnight to a room that had not been touched. I mentioned it at checkout and got a stare with no comment. By the way, the walls are paper thin.
The Field restaurant at Toftrees is a great place to eat. The service was friendly and our waitress didn't rush our group to order or finish our meals even though it was a busy evening. I've never been disappointed by the food I've had there
We had dinner at The Field restaurant in the hotel. Service and atmosphere was great, food was even better. Both kids had burgers and fruit from the kids menu, Husband and I had different burgers and we ordered table fries. We all had milkshakes, too, and I believe we all ended up bringing something home, whether it was leftover food or our shakes to go. A LOT of food!! Price was to be expected for this type of establishment. Will definitely visit again, perhaps trying one of the milkshakes "hard" (they can make them with alcohol). Also a shoutout to our server, I feel bad for not remembering her name, but she was awesomely accommodating during our whole visit!!!
Stopped by the Field for dinner. Food, service, and atmosphere was great. Only complaint was the air conditioning was working overtime. Had to run to the car for sweatshirts.
Server didn't get my order right so I had to wait to get my food redone and never checked on me from order until she brought the bill. Didn't even bring the food or see what was wrong/why a remake was needed. Only when I asked for the check was she "nice". Went in and saw her sitting with a male patron, probably because she thought he'd give her a higher tip. Good food though, would go back and try for another server.
The place is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The resort sits on top of the hill with great scenery. The night auditor rich was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended..
Very nice place for a visit. We got stuck in a snow storm and this was available through Priceline. The only reason for the 4 stars is the firm beds. I prefer mine a little fluffier...
Had a nice time at The Field Restaurant. The food was good overall and the service was ok. The place was very clean and views of the golf course were nice as well.
The Tofttrees Golf Resort was awesome. The decor was clean and somewhat fancy. The food was yummy. The servers were friendly, helpful, and nice. Great place for a family meal or with friends.
Great service, friendly staff, clean setting. Near State College, shopping and easy access to the highway. Plenty of options for drinks and food without leaving. Lots of available parking.
Went to The Field restaurant for happy hour. Food was great. Fries were delicious and got a veggie burger (made of checkpeas and spinach) which was crumbly but very delicious. You can sub a veggie burger in any style burger. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Service was excellent, even with our large group.
Always come here for The Field! Their food is delicious and they have some of the best milkshakes. It's a place you gotta try if you're ever in State College!
I got married here on Aug 11, 2019. The venue is gorgeous and my guests were so happy. Renting the space for your wedding is not a bank breaker.
However, our wedding coordinator disappeared halfway through our wedding and I learned she went home sick but no one was nice enough to tell the bride and groom. Ridiculous.
The rooms here are OK. They need to be updated for sure. They also need to figure out their keys and door combination. I went to the front desk so many times they knew my name. I would have the key reprogrammed, then go to get into my room and it wouldn t work. This happened at least 6 to 7 times. Very frustrating.
We actually checked out of our room early and went home.
We ate lunch at The Field. It was graduation weekend so the wait was about an hour long but the sitting area is nice. The food was definitely worth it.
