The customer service skills at this place is just ridiculous! Between the long wait times (one time for me was two and a half hours) to the representatives bad attitudes. There is no reason to be rude to someone who is asking for help. They need to try clearing out their voice mailboxes and call those individuals back!

Don't fool with these ppl. They are horrible section 8 is trap. You can be homeless at any moment with it. Landlord does not fix things, they inspect, and next thing you know you may be out on the streets. Those projects are a death trap and a prison sentence waiting to happen to your children. Sistahs please listen, I am not exaggerating this stuff is a trap. Those ppl do not care about you, they will treat you like dirt, and your poverty is their meal ticket!
I just wanna let the world know how good God and Mrs Hargrove has been to me. I was just in Virginia for my 9 year old niece funeral June 7th. I kept getting a sign from God to make June 6th my day to stop by and update my information so that I can be able to move back home with my family who needs me.I first received some bad news but Mrs Hargrove turned my bad news into joy and happiness and for that I appreciate her so much for changing my life only if you all knew how much this means to me to finally be able to come back home with my family. Mrs. Hargrove thank you so much I believe i was sent your way that day
I must say that I am truly appalled by RRHA's recent acts. I have been here with my mom for 8 years and never thought of awful this place was until my mother passed and I had to handle this apartment on my own. If I knew that the representatives would be subpar and that any maintenance request you put in would not get done or halfway done, I would've chosen to be homeless instead of deal with this nonsense. I have been requesting for them to repair a leak in my roof that has been happening since THEY remodeled the apartment and it has yet to be fixed! I am currently dealing with my floor swelling and I've had to rescrew my door's hinges because of this unresolved issue. I am sick of dealing with a rent office that is quick to hold you to your portion of the lease but refuses to hold to theirs! I would not recommend anyone to become a part this system. It's a trap and you're just a paycheck to management...
At my lowest point the case workers and management gave me compassion and support. Some of y'all have to remember that there are thousands who are experiencing the same emergency as you. I'm currently on the waiting list. I check often and update my information. The workers can't do it all. I lived in housing before. I did what I was supposed to do and always received support. They are working through a pandemic just like everyone else. I appreciate everything the Chamberlin office has done for me. I even had a worker pray for me and my family.
Left 2 change forms so far..work hours increase, they're on it. Work hours decrease, they're slow as turtles. Very frustrating. No call backs, email responses. Backed up? Hire help, or DO THE JOB YOU'RE GETTING PAID TO DO.
I have never had to handle business with a company and they never answer the phone I live clean cross town and it's hard to get up there just to ask a question
There's really no reason to get a voucher anymore. The apartments that take them are poorly constructed, dangerous, noisy, want 60 day notice (who TH gonna hold a property that long) and just as bad as a project. Matter of fact a project is better because it's not someone over top or under you. They're beside you. Most of the apartments that take vouchers are garden style apartments that have very thin walls. You might luck up on a house but a lot of ppl are not accepting those vouchers anymore. The houses that are usually are up the street from projects or in areas where the schools are bad. And they usually have a lot of fixtures and maintenance that needs to be done. Save yourself the headache and stay in the pjs or hud apartments until you can buy yourself a house! At least hud properties you have a month to month lease, they're usually all electric meaning one bill, if you save up,and keep your credit decent you can get a first time loan. I'm serious. I made a big mistake taking this voucher.
This office has been the absolute WORST housing authority I have EVER had the displeasure of dealing with!! No one ever wants to answer the phone when you call, and if they do answer, it's never pleasant. Asking questions is apparently against some unwritten rules and you almost get cursed out for doing so. My caseworker has been changed and I was never informed of who the new one would be, and the old one just refuses to help without a disgusting attitude. If there were any other option for me, short of committing crimes, to make sure I had a roof over my head, I would end the madness of dealing with them altogether. The government that hires the employees there should truly start all over and hire the type of people who really have a customer service type of mentality.
Haven't had an issue so far. Any issue I had was dealt with in a timely manner. Judging by the types of people who come to this place. I understand why the staff has attitudes.
Horrible customer service even to call you either wait to get hung up on or wait to be belittled it's really a lose lose and a very sad organization that's supposed to be in place to help our people instead is demaging us more smh
I was very disappointed on how the staff is when you call your on hold for 2 hours and the you call back to get answers you get the voicemail u don't get calls back from them and they are very disrespectful when you call I dont like it that's the only way the bills are getting paid
I called the Richmond Redevelopment office on Chamberlyn Ave. and was on hold from 3:11pm.until3:56(they close at 4 pm.on Thursday's)and the person that answered the phone sounded so angry,"That entire office needs to be investigated!These people are getting paid to be rude and lie to you about whats going on with what you are inquiring about.The need to clean up and throw out( the people that are not into their jobs ,you are suppose to be there to help!!!
I got a call from this number demanding to ask who I was in a very profane and rude manner. It seems the lady on the phone got the telephone numbers mixed up and called me back instead of whoever called (mind you I don t know this company and have never associated with the company in any capacity). The lady said well I guess I just came up with this number out of thin air in a very rude tone and hung up. I suggest not doing this on a company line. This company should have proper documentation of who s calling and should not be berating individuals on the phone for their own incompetence.
yes iam glad to be back at fay towers i used to live here 7 yrs ago and i had no problems then and ive none now ms k. white is a nice person she listen to you but the problem now is we got people comming fay towers at night going the empty apts sleeping like 518 their are people up there when the office closes they come out side the building and holler for some to let them in. this problem needs to be taken care of before something happens in this building they are taken advantage of the building because its almost empty please have all of the apt doors in fay towers checked or locked changed so un-dersirables cant come in and roam the halls this is my home until baker school is ready. thanks mr robert t. montgomery
im scared now cause i was going to move to va this summer not willing to have to suffer cause of they dont do the work ill find some other place to go thanks to all that have share you guys saved me

They are the worst when it comes to communication. I've been to the office five times trying to report a change in my income due to being pregnant my hours cut. So i was told wait a month then they could adjust. Went back then they gave me a form an said bring this an that an then that still wasn't what i needed so i had to quit to submit change. Was talking to people that didn't know what to do then this lady comes out talking to me like I'm a child trying to be smart.These people are really a just rude an ratchet..
