The service has always been great at the field. The food there is quite delicious but sadly every time we go something come out either cold or just wrong.

Great service! Easily accessible from the interstate, friendly staff and large selection. Make sure to check it out. Beautiful 18 hole golf course as well!
Great place to stay, woodsy feel and still close to town. Great golf course and local products at the Field restaurant.
Went to have dinner at The Field and it was fantastic. Great service and great food!
Would definitely recommend. Their Ghost burger was excellent.
I only ate at the field and had fries and a milkshake
Ate at The Field. Food is delicious! Four stars instead of five because it's pricey.
I ate at the field, the restaurant within Toftrees. The size was very much worth the price. All burgers were cooked to perfection and extremely juicy. Some alcoholic smoothies were also ordered. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to be!
Great food, but bartender could not make a drink to save her life. Needs a lesson on how a whiskey sour is properly made.
I stayed here for a conference and always love it. The grounds are beautiful and you can walk them in between sessions. The staff is exceedingly helpful and polite. The food is always delicious and the conference rooms are also quite nice.
Great golf course very well maintained nice resturaunt food good service a+ had a problem in golf shop. Pro came out on course apologized left everyone smiling. Nice guy. Dont see that much. Hope to get back soon.
Dated, Masculine, Not Clean.
This resort felt more like an old hotel, and I expected more for the price. The staff is so friendly, but we weren't given any information upon check-in other than the direction to our room. When we got to the room it was stuffy and dark (Maybe from being closed for a while), not nearly as bright as the photos (even after turning on the lights and opening the curtains). We decided to open the sliding door to the balcony. This was more like an apartment porch. The bar to stop the door from sliding was loose, the screen handle was old, and the porch area was filthy. Old pine, leaves, and dirt covered the entire outside area, and the balcony didn't give me a great view of anything.
Due to COVID my family packed our own soaps and washes. Thank God! While I understand this is a golf resort, it is totally catered to males. The soap containers and lotions looked like small bottles of whisky (they were cute, but not what I wanted). They smelled like cologne.
The room had no blow dryer for our hair, no breakfast, and no options for breakfast. I wasn't aware of no breakfast until I called the first night of my stay. We were told due to COVID they could not serve the buffet. This is totally understandable, but please inform guest upon arrival. I also believe that a plated breakfast could be served since lunch, dinner, and the bar were open.
Some of these things could be due to COVID which is unfortunate, but the other things I did not like, as well as how packed the pool area was. If COVID Is still a concern, why did the hotel allow so many people to be in and around the pool?
Decent place to stay. Had a lot of uogrades and rehab, but cheaply done. Bathfitter over existing tub. Snap-on lynoleum floors move when walked on. Paint covering damaged and marked up walls. Some of the many additions are newer and more modern. For being a Golf Resort the rooms are very simple and 'par' standard. The layout of the connecting addtions is very confusing and like a maze. Great staff and coffee and drinks in the lobby.
We were a party of 4 for dinner. We had a fun time and enjoyed the food overall. The "house salt" is extremely salty and our sweet potato fries were drenched in it. The salads as a main were meh but large in portion. The veggies burger had to have been the best burger available. It has an Indian flavoring that is magnificent! I'd definitely go back to sit on the patio and have a beer.
Clean, comfortable beds. Not too expensive. Front desk friendly. TV and remote out of sync so couldn't use TV. Guess this happens often so not sure why they don't have a note in the room or tell you on checkin. We had already settled in for the night so didn't want to call someone for service. Disappointing when they could have left instructions for guests as they said its a common experience.
It was nice. Very clean and well-kept. Staff was friendly...It was for a booty call
Burgers are to die for! Milkshakes are equally amazing. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, and service is friendly and coherent.
Ate at the restraunt, was fairly good food at a decent price. A bit in the expensive side, but for the quality it's to be expected
The Field has great burgers and fries and friendly staff.
Hotel was very clean customer service was great restaurant look nice did not eat there though did not get to see the outside much it's winter time would definitely stay there again price was reasonable
Beautiful facility for a wedding, I would definitely recommend it. The food was quite good, but not the best. Coffee was not so good, I didn't even drink more than a few sips
Great burgers. Huge salad for the price. Great rustic/modern surroundings. Nice and quick staff.
My stay here was not good and certainly not what I expected from looking at the website. The person that checked us in was very rude. The room was small, dingy, and in need of a serious update. We went to my cousin's wedding there. The staff never smiled and we quickly learned why. The main staff person there, an older man, was barking orders and was very rude. No one told our table what was going on for food. The mother of the groom told us to go ahead and grab food from the buffet. As soon as we stood up, the older man basically yelled at us and told us to sit down, that he hadn't dismissed us yet. We returned to our room after the wedding was over. In the middle of the night, a protective cover over lights in the bathroom fell and made a very large crashing noise. The only person that was kind to us was the woman that checked us out, Permella. This place is not worth your money. It is not well air conditioned, the staff is some of the rudest people I have met, and it is certainly not what it appears on the website. I will never stay here again.
Stopped by the field restaurant for some burgers. Always love their food and the selection of beers is great. Wonderful place to eat!
Got dinner and drinks. The food was delicious. May have the best fries in State College.
We didn't golf here, but we ate at The Fields restaurant. The food at this farm-to-table spot was DELICIOUS. I had the turkey burger with home made chips, washed down with a local beer. I will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in State College!
Selection is limited, but the food is always great and the service spectacular!
Ate at the field, they make great burgers and shakes.
I highly recommend the Field Burger & Tap restaurant at Toftrees. The food is awesome.
I had a confirmed reservation for three nights at this resort. On my last day there after going to the lobby for coffee that you couldn t see them pour, they told me that The place was closing that day and that I would have to find somewhere else to stay. I thought the girl was kidding when she told me that, considering I had stuff all over my room and was re-organizing my suitcases. But no she wasn t. I asked her if she could find another reservation for me at another hotel which she did, however when she tried to call my room to tell me about it the phone didn t work. I was so upset and so disappointed, this was my last day to live in State College and it was supposed to be special.
On a day that was pouring rain, and two suitcases plus a backpack full of luggage, and being a senior, and having to maneuver stairs from my room to the lobby, and not having any valet service or anyone to help me load the luggage on a very rainy day., I was frustrated and very discouraged. It will not be a place I ll stay again.
Beautiful course and setting.
Greens are great, fairways a bit torn up.
Memories of PSU made playing this course a requirement.
Looking forward to lunch.
Great food as always at The Field at Toftrees. Only issue was one of our orders took way too long to get there, but the manager apologized and waived the cost of that item to make up for it.
Atmosphere was awesome... But wings were way overcooked. They took them off the bill. My husband's burger was great... Will definitely go back but will order something other than wings
I just went to go to the Field. Unfortunately there was over an hour wait for my group of four, so we weren't able to get a table. Would recommend calling ahead of time either for reservation or just to see what the wait time is since it is such a popular spot. The food is great, definitely visit at least once. The milkshakes are an experience!
Played 9 holes after a very wet summer. Course was in good shape but the greens were very slow. Had drinks and dinner afterwards. Beer is over priced and there are no prices on the drink menu. Menu had a limited selection. I wouldn't go out of my way to go eat here, better places in State College. Definitely would recommend for golf though.
We went for dinner. Food was great, staff was on point. I would definitely recommend!
