I took my Longines watch to Swatch Melbourne on 26/11/20 to have the battery replaced. This is a very simple 5 to 10 minute procedure that can be done while a customer waits. But no, I was told I would have to leave the watch for up to two weeks. I asked if they could recommend anyone else who could do the job. However I was told they did not recommend any others. This is despite the fact that there are other watch repairers that do repairs on Longines watches and other brands handled by Swatch, and that Swatch supply them with the required parts. This was simply a case that Swatch would not offer assistance to me. They have no concept of what customer service means. Sure they may have had a backlog of watches needing extensive service. But you just don t keep a customer waiting weeks for a simple job taking a few minutes. You make the time to fit it in. Well this story had a happy ending. I found a watch repairer that not only does battery replacements on any brands while a customer waits, but also at a very much lower price than Swatch charge. Swatch have lost a customer and I wouldn't even rate them as one star.

I Gave them 2 of my Omega watches. One for a service and one for a battery replacement. Due to the extremely high cost I decided not to go ahead with this. I have had my watches serviced in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore and never had a estimate so high.
My second watch just needed a battery replacement and this takes forever. 2 weeks to give u estimate (I never got it so I has to call to follow it up) and now an other 2 weeks to replace a battery. This is a job that would take 10mins tops.
I really hope these people get there act together.

Excellent customer service and a breath of fresh air.

The Omega's Customer Service Team is a huge breath of fresh air in this modern-day Luxury Watch Industry, true high-end service to reflect the high-end product.

It is commonly known that Omega Customer Service is better than the other infamous brands with watch enthusiasts and watch community group, however, my recent experience with the Customer Service Team in Melbourne far exceed my expectation and rejuvenated my love for horology. If you ve been collecting watch for a while and have been to a luxury watch store in recent years, you would know what I mean.

Considering the difficulty of my request, I was expecting an automated email response then getting brushed aside. Instead, I was warmly greeted, and the team went out of their way to help me, looking at different options/solutions, being responsive and proactive through-out our correspondences.

Now I find myself gravitating towards the Temple-of-Speed Watch Box, rocking-out my Speedies everyday not just Speedy-Tuesday, with huge smile on my face and reminding me that is what it is all about. The feeling that makes it all worthwhile, all the hard work, long hours, saving, and moping around the house until the Mrs would allow me to buy another watch.

Huge shout out of thanks to Alicia and David.

I drove one hour to visit the Swatch shop in Chadstone shopping Centre to purchase a watch for Mothers Day. I went onto the Chadstone Shopping Centre website and checked the hours. I even found the Swatch shop on the site and checked your hours - 9am - 9pm.
I got to the door around 7.05pm with the doors closed and the lights on. I knocked on the glass pleading to allow me to buy a watch. I told the assistant I drove one hour, knew what I wanted and asked could he please process the sale. "Sorry, the till is closed and we cannot process anything tonight!". I know this is BS as I have worked in retail myself and have closed tills and eftpos machines.
I am really furious that your website claims stores are open until 9pm, yet was told by the assistant the shops all close at different hours on Thursday - NOT WHAT YOUR WEBSITE SAYS. I am a very unhappy. I really wanted a Swatch but due to the assistants attitude and lack of care factor, I will buy another watch from another shopping centre tomorrow night.

Be warned. Do not take your treasured timepieces here for servicing. I m an owner of 6 Omega watches and over the years, this company has lied, didn t honour warranty (kept drying out a Seamaster under warranty that wasn t worn in water, only to tell me 12 months past warranty the stainless steel casing was warped), blamed problems on me for manufacturing faults (under warranty-I was told by the lady at the service counter it must ve been involved in an accident ) and recently promised to look after me with the latest issue (face to face, very nice to get a complaining customer out of the office so others cannot hear) only to be told they will have to send my timepiece to Switzerland at a cost of $85 to see what parts are needed. So did not look after me at all. Surely, if their watchmakers are experienced, they can open the watch to see what parts are needed. No. They won t even look at it and insist it needs to be sent overseas. $270 for a battery and seals at this place for the other watch, to then be told because we didn t go ahead with the quoted $1700 worth of repairs (mostly cosmetic), the battery and seals have no warranty. Any reputable watchmaker does genuine seals and battery for $120. Be prepared to wait 2-3 weeks for an expensive battery change also. 5 minute job at a high end watchmaker. Not even sure they do any on site work.
A Constellation still under warranty that had never gone in for a battery as it was new, to be told $1200 worth of repairs as there is a non genuine battery installed that has caused corrosion? Then when I disputed, they suggested we pay half. Disputed again, they paid the whole repair (or so I thought) only to have corrosion inside my $8000 watch again. As the warranty repair done 15 years ago, they have no records. I was also accused of making this up :0
I m so very, very disappointed and ask for Omega Switzerland s email address. They gave me an email address that goes back to the Swatch Group Melbourne. Haha. So making a complaint against them, is handled by them. Hmm. What a joke. Finally got through to The Swatch Group Switzerland and they say all the nice things, but are 100% in the same camp as The Swatch Group Melbourne.
I will never purchase another brand that comes under the Swatch Group banner.

Extremely poor workmanship. My almost new Mido Commander which was only worn 3-4 times was sent in for a band replacement. It came back with some deep scratches on the case and the crystal. They even put the bands on the wrong sides. Stay away from these people if you love your watch!

Took my watch for a battery replacement. They told me I would have to leave the watch with them for covid protocols for 1 week. After 10 days I phoned to ask when my watch would be ready and they said they had checked the watch and it needs a new battery!!!! That I would have to sign a consent form!!!! and it would take 4 weeks!!!! It's currently taking them 5 weeks for a 10 minute job.

I have a Tissot watch bought in 2005 and it's had it's battery replaced about 5 times, the cost for replacement seals and battery was $70 last time and the battery has lasted nealry 3 years. Take it to the experts here if you value your watch. Oh and the crystal glass has been smashed into brick walls and doors and steel objects by mistake and not one mark, the satinless stell has scratches but that's called character. Go Tissot! Go Swatch group for expert care.
