The place is nice n clean bit the parking layout leaves something to be desired
The seats are comfortable but there is no leg room.
Clean comfortable venue. Parking was readily available. The usual price gouging of a captive audience for concessions like $4 bottles of water cut the stars back.
Charging stations for your cell phone should be working properly!
We saw marvel live..show was great only bad thing was the usher pointed us in the wrong directions for our seats
We come here every year for the fireworks and it's amazing we love it it's family-friendly and a nice show.
Venue is great... getting out of the parking garage after a show, however, should be considered cruel and unusual punishment. We parked on level 4, and it took nearly an hour to get out to the street. You may want to consider parking elsewhere and walking.
Overall, very good experience. The chairs can make you feel numb after a few hours, though.
Although it was under construction work, the inside was beautiful.
The new renovation is awesome! Love the enclosed atrium and walkway from the parking garage! Good food and beverage options as always.
Concert was great.worse parking I have ever encountered.and I am 64 years old.Deplorable.Will NEVER go there again.
Thanks.. I myu
I blew h
Celine Dion was AWESOME. Hope she is back next year
The performance I came to see was was great. The staff helped me to find my seat and were accommodating for my mom. We had a great time. I would recommend getting there early to aviod waiting in a long line for service.
Dead And Company -First show ever. Wonderful acoustics and excellent concessions. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but once inside, it is bound to be one memorable experience. Albany never disappoints.
A great place for entertainment Arena Football also live concerts
I attended the Arena Bowl. It was a great experience.
There is nowhere near enough room around this place for the crowds of people awaiting entry. The line practices change from show to show so you never know which line is for which area of entrance(seats vs GA for shows, ticket purchase versus pickup, etc). And I feel awful for anyone who lives or has to travel through that area when there's a show. It's just jammed for blocks in every direction with people looking for parking(which is impossible in that area pretty much any time of any day anyway) and inconsiderate pedestrians on their way to whatever event.
Seat's were kinda small, but had a great time with Dar watching Def Leopard and Journey
Really tight seating, expensive food at concessions. Good sound.
Saw Justin Timberlake there.. it's a small arena, no bad seats. Great for concerts!
The seating is hard to navigate the gates are sometimes blocked and have to use a different stair well from where the directed you.
Renovations are nice, staff great at today's event. BUT, LORD ALMIGHTY THE VENDOR PRICES ARE THROUGJ THE ROOF.
2 SODAS AND 2 SMALL POPCORNS..$21.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!@
A decent arena. Acoustics were good. Food was average and the concession lines were enormous. Biggest issues were due to the location. Located in middle of city made it difficult to get to, and finding parking near by is near impossible.
Nice concert venue. Parking around here all day is $5....that's a steal...
Free parking for most weekend events, big arena for many expos and hockey games
Great venue to see a show. But food is movie theater expensive and alcohol is down right robbery. $11 for 24oz beer $13 for twisted tea. 10 for single shots doubles at $16. Ice craem was $8. But if u eat and drink b4 hand you can save some money. Me ,my girl, and my son at Kicker Arena Cross motorcycles on 11/17/18.
It was not organized getting people into the times union. We were going up escalators and were abruptly stopped without giving us directions. I almost fell backwards down the escalator. There was only 1 security guard trying to direct the over flow of people. People were pushing and cutting in front of others. Not organized. TERRIBLE experience to get in. Celine Dion's concert was amazing though. Just bad staffing at the times union center.
Went to see Fleetwood Mac, the staff was very helpful and professional, plenty of food and drinks in the corridors, plenty of parking.
As an arena, the Times Union Center provides all of the basics one needs. Parking can be difficult and/or expensive ($20 at the parking garage for a Friday night Trevor Noah comedy show), but without it, there wouldn't be an entertainment center that could hold larger crowds anywhere in the Capital District.
Direction in to arena was a mess... They sent us every which way. Arena itself was fine. Bathrooms were clean. Leaving parking lot was a disaster. It took 25 minutes to pull out of our spot.. Never again.
Much better now that they enclosed the stairway to the entrance. Seating is very tight if you're tall
Overall a nice venue. However, it's not very accessible for elderly and differently abled... It's design must predate ADA requirements, and as such is in need of an accessibility upgrade.
Elton John concert was outstanding. Took a hour to get out of the garage.
Travelling from Australia and saw that Mumford & Sons were playing so made the trip to Albany to see another town. Pleasantly surprised by the town and this venue. It is a fantastic venue where we felt like it was a very intimate with the show and a set up that allowed your to see all of the stage at all times. Food & drink lines reasonable and staff very kind and helpful.
This venue is extremely difficult if you have problems with stairs, and I do since having back surgery. There is no way to avoid the stairs, and there a lot of them
On Sunday, February 7,2016 went to see the Harlem Globetrotters we has excellent seats, but the show itself was funny, athletic, energetic, and simply full of good times, this is one show you really must see-excellent. thank you, marie rava
We are going to the JW Assembly this weekend, seats aren't very comfortable, but it is convenient
Love this place. Been enjoying concerts here since it was the Knickerbocker Arena.
Golden knights Arena, good facility easy to get around downtown Albany find buses find parking great time
Went here to see Metallica. The concert itself was amazing (no shock there). The venue itself is nice but the run around we got with security was horrendous. We were moved several times and yelled at for not being in the right place. When it was time to be let in the venue, it was chaos and everyone was pushing through without being properly checked. They definitely seemed unprepared. Also be ready to be stuck in the parking garages. There was nobody directing traffic afterwards and it was every man for themselves. Likely won t be here again based on our experience.
We attended the John Mayer concert in July. Tried several times to complain about 5 unexpected business seats infront of our supposed to be frontline seats. We never got any reply. We feel offended that we didn't get a reaction. We came all the way from europe and this was a big dissapointment.
Starting to show its age needs updating and a good cleaning, food and drink price are ridiculously high
Great performance but food is ridiculously expensive.
Picked up a show here with a semi ...staged on Market St ...NW side of the facility ..pretty easy in and out...tight dock space but my show had excellent staff to assist
They need a better system to get you in the door faster and they need to monitor who is sitting in the seats. Too many people sitting in seats they didn't purchase.
Great time at the phish show security and staff were friendly show was great
Easily accessible especially not being from the area, nice arena
Easy to get to. Getting out after an event is a nightmare
Parking is beyond ridiculous for this venue, had to park in a random lot for $20! Had to walk almost a mile to the venue. The chairs on the floor are so close together it caused me to be claustrophobic and anxious. Unable to see over other people's heads because of the positioning of the seats. Security at the venue acts like they are Secret Service. If you even stand in or near the aisle, talking to your friend for one second, security comes over and demands to see your tickets and yell at you for standing where you were. They stand guard in each section, so fearful that someone may cross into another section. It's rude and makes people uncomfortable. Hire friendlier security and figure out your seating arrangements!
Alfred Bracy United States Army Military Police say Times Union Center is a great place to visit for great entertainment such as concerts Sports and many other activities choose from thank you.
Air filtration system sucks. Have to look through a cloud to see the stage.
Awesome staff there from a person that was back stage
Always a great place for events no matter what is going on. From graduations to car shows this location does not disappoint. No hockey team tho. Still worth a 5 star review. Highly recommended.
Car show, the best and only car show in Capital region.
Saw Shinedown here. Great clean venue clean and easily accessible!
Easy to park and enter. Staff was helpful.
Seats were ok. Dd section was hard to see the end zone. To many people standing to see. Would buy tickets in the upper levels.
Good venue for shows and concerts, only issue is tickets and vendors are too expensive. If the tickets and vendors we're a little cheaper I would have frequent this place more often.
