This evening a friend and I went to the TU to see Elton John. The arena was packed for his farewell tour. He was better than ever. Played alot of old tunes. It was great! The TU is a nice arena where all the seats are good.

The Times Union Center is a typical arena, good for concerts and other public events. My recent attendance was for an Albany High School graduation. The center offered ample unlimited seating. It was clean, and in good condition.

Love it

Great venue. I went to see Arena Cross and it was amazing how they were able to bring such an outside sport in.

The seats were somewhat uncomfortable, a little narrow and would benefit from arm rests that could come up and a little more leg room.

We were here for the women's NCAA basketball sweet 16. There was an awesome free event in Atrium prior to the games. My only complaint as a parent is that the changing table is in the open space right next to the lines. We would never expect an adult to go to the bathroom in plain view, why do we expect it for children? The staff however was incredibly helpful when my daughter needed to nurse. They helped me find a room that was private that also allowed me the opportunity to watch the game still.

At TUC for Monster Jam. Seats are are bit cramped for a sitting event...No leg room more than anything. But, there isn't a bad seat in the house. A great view from any location. Parking is easily accessible and the center itself is well maintained.

Good place to see a show. Ariana Grande in this case Upgraded security which put everyone's mind at ease to attend the show without worry. Metal detectors in use and all personal items needed to be in a small, clear bag. Nothing else was permitted. Well organized, and prepared to deal with the masses.

Saw a concert here. The security staff were extremely disorganized and gave nonsense directions. We ended up walking in circles around the lobby area prior to entering the security checkpoint. Parking was also a disaster. I will never attend another event here.

Didn't lift a finger to let hundreds of fans know that the show was postponed to a new date. Left us out in the cold, literally. No call, no email, not even any signs posted at the venue. Drove hours for the show for nothing. Stunningly terrible business practice.

When this arena opened in 1990 it was called the Knickerbocker Arena. The opening act was Frank Sinatra and downtown Albany hadn't seem such class and elegance in years. Unfortunately, the Times Union Center hasn't done anything to compare to what this arena used to be called and the charm of the opening night. Most shows are sporting events and the few "name acts" they have aren't worth the ticket prices. Parking is very difficult and the people who work in their customer service aren't helpful or friendly in person or on the phone.

I was assaulted by another patron during one of their shows. The security kicked me out of the venue and I lost the 400 I paid on tickets. All I can say is a waste of money and time. As someone who goes to lots of shows very disappointed with this venue

I visited this arena for a night of arena football, and wasn't disappointed by their layout and seating. It can definitely get a tad noisy, though, so I would recommend bringing earplugs or sound-dampening items for those who are more sensitive to loud noises. The crowds also tend to get a bit rowdy and active from the copious amounts of beer they serve, making public intoxication a factor to consider if you're bringing young children. All-in-all, it's a great experience if you know what you're getting into. Bathrooms were also surprisingly clean throughout my visit, a rarity for events where beer-chugging is the norm.

This arena changes it's name too often and now it's worshiping the Times Useless unreliable newspaper. And 3 big reasons to boycott this distasteful arena: The Albany Donald Trump Rally (Seriously?! He sucks!), The Albany Devils, and the Ringling Bros. Circus (Look-up on Youtube the kind of animal abuse that occurs when they train these animals to serve this people like Gods).

Current construction has the entry in a mess. Drinks and food prices are outrageous seats were uncomfortable for me being over 6feet tall other than that the overall experience was OK nothing to brag about I will revise in the future when the construction is complete.

Phish concert, 2nd night. My seat was too tight, I got second habd smoke buzzed from all the potheads doing their thing, and quite frankly, Phish has no soul. The Grateful Dead had soul. So at intermission, I stayed outside the arena and watched the ALCS, game 4. Live Phish music as background.

Food is limited, low quality and priced at highway robbery prices. You also are not allowed to bring any food in. If you're over 5ft tall, forget about any leg room at your seat. Incredibly uncomfortable.
