Visiting from Cincinnati. I have been to many zoos, and this is a completely different experience. To be up close and personal with the animals, seeing them play, and interact with one another is incredible. The staff was also very friendly as well.

Me and my girlfriend took two of our nephews to Tiger world and was amazed they had bears lions tigers panthers monkeys emu's kangaroos exotic birds and all kinds of other animals.
The zoo was well-kept well-managed the people were so friendly and you could feed just about all the animals and you could get as close to them like you were touching them with glass walls and with the fences they had structured you could get Within 6 to eight feet is the closest I've ever seen lions and tigers ever.
They also had waterfalls Pines Bridges they had cat walks where exotic Wild cats would walk over top of you they also had areas made to look like the habitats the animals were from they had information and placards everywhere with information on all of the animals.
The place was so well run and the animals were so well taken care of they literally looked happy.
I would suggest tiger world to anyone and everyone it is fun for all ages from kids to adults to senior citizens.

This is a fantastic little zoo out in the sticks! Most of the the animals are rescues from neglectful or abusive private ownership. It's clearly a labor of love and that genuine care for the animals gives the place a character that many lack. There are also bears, kangaroos, and monkeys. Oh, and you can buy cups of peanuts and stuff to feed to the monkeys and it's awesome! We just kindof stumbled upon this place while we were in the area but we heartily enjoyed the experience and will definitely come back next time we're in the area.

We super charm! It is not a big place, but you will surely have fun and you will have an amazing time in its spaces for children, watching the beautiful tigers, lions, wolves, monkeys, snakes, etc., etc. My son had an amazing time, feeding him the monkeys, ducks, geese and turtles, we will definitely be back soon.

Great time here with my 3 yr old. Loved the tiger Cubs playing and the animals all seemed happy with plenty of space. The staff was very friendly and open to conversations about the animals.

We were very excited to go to Tiger World. We know it was the weekend and it was a warm day so the fact that the big cats were sleeping was, while disappointing, expected. I do wish that there was more signage on the outside of the enclosures and pictures of the animals were correct. It would have made not being able to see some of the residents a little less disappointing.

The people who work at this place are some of the rudest I ve ever encountered in my life. The girl at the gift shop told my kids to quiet down. Another girl yelled at us because we crossed a barrier yet their rope had fallen and no one even knew a barrier existed. Y all need some manners. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

If you've never been there it's worth the time and price. Staff are friendly and informative. They have monkeys, birds, snakes, lions, bears, restrooms, picnic tables, souvenir store with drinks and snacks.

Absolutely wonderful place and a must see if you are in the area. The paths can be a bit difficult to manage if you have a walker like my mother but if you take it slow, you can maneuver around. We went on a very hot day 90+, so be prepared as there is limited shade.

I am not a fan of animal captivity. But when I found out the Big Cats were right in my neck of the woods, I really wanted to experience them. They re majestic and I really am thankful to share the earth with them, given this was a supposed to be a preserve where endangered species were to be cared for and protected. Of course, I was just as disappointed as any other time I ve witnessed animals in cages. And I was extremely bothered by the fact that it was the middle of the afternoon and many of the large cats were trying to stay cool In shady spots because there was literally no water to be found in their enclosures. I believe most guests experienced a sad and puzzling trip to TigerWorld in Rockwell, NC today. Even their star hybrid the Liger, named Lil Wayne, was under veterinary care. I don t expect them to perform and dance a jig for guests. It s not their natural habitat and while many may have been raised in captivity, it is the facility s responsibility to provide basic care which I am certain their donors expect. How did you entice them to donate to your facility? Perhaps it s the conditions that made them open their purses in some attempt to make it better for the endangered species. I hope you will understand that an animal still needs basic needs met, and in nature they would instinctively be drawn to resources like food and water. But when caged, they have no way to strive for survival. It is the caretakers who hold the responsibility of ensuring they are happy and healthy. Water is a basic resource in 90 degree weather. The only time I saw them providing water, was to a manufactured waterfall in a bear cage with no bears in it. TigerWorld, please do better. I would encourage others to donate but, I believe you are pocketing the money and exploiting the animals much like a circus. Run by volunteers, who are not moving fast enough to ensure that every animal is hydrated for such a hot day, is unacceptable. If you love animals, and believe they deserve a fighting chance, especially when their numbers are dwindling, please share, please let TigerWorld know they should at least appear to love the animals as well. For those of you who 5 starred this place, please see an optometrist or find a heart. Speak up for beautiful creatures of every species!

I was very happy with tiger world. I really like how you can get up close to all the animals and the Tigers and Lions are so beautiful. Its not like a typical zoo where the animals are hard to see or in the back corner sleeping . All the animals were right in front of you probably less than 5 feet.I will be bringing my family back

Must do activity in pittsboro and surrounding area. I have never been able to get so close to these animals. I did the public tour and the guide was extremely professional and did not rush us. Would be great date idea, activity with the kids, or I would even go alone.

Went to Tiger World today with my family and had an amazing time! The animals looked very well taken care of and their habitats were full of enrichment, including pumpkins for the different animals and a big pool in one of the tiger exhibits! I thought that was especially neat cause tigers love swimming! I was very excited that they also had Barbary Lions which are unfortunately extinct in the wild, but it makes it that much more special and important that they have them there to preserve the species. While we were there, we met some animal keepers that were very friendly and told us about the animals, Isis and Fozzy who were the two Barbary Lions. You could tell immediately that the keepers had excellent knowledge about the animals, and that the animals they cared for loved them and were excited to see them! The gift shop was also nice and offered a lot of different things! I ended up getting a nice hoodie with a tiger on it and it's very soft! Overall, I'll definitely be going back and I would highly recommend going for a visit to support this amazing zoo! The small scale means everything feels very one on one with the animals, and we were able to get pretty close to the tigers while still staying safe and respecting the animal's space! It's a great set up!

Took my wife and her parents there. It was an enjoyable time to spend with them to experience exotic animals and reptiles. Very inexpensive considering how close you are able to get to the animals without being in any danger. Everyone should try to donate some money to this place so the animals can have a home to live their lives peacefully. Skip one expensive meal out and donate that money to this place. It is just the right thing to do. Go and visit Tiger World and see the beautiful exotic animals for yourself.

Nice family outing to do something different. Good variety of animals for a mini zoolike place. My kids loved it. They even have a playground and plenty of picnic spots. Unfortunately they were out of food to feed the animals so may wanna call before hand if it's something you wanna do.

Amazing hidden gem! Went once and ended up asking for a annual pass just to go back as often as I want. I fell in love with Boomer, the red kangaroo. Love this place and look forward to many visits.

Ems, fire, and police get in discounted. Great, calm place to see the animals up close. Reptile building isn't really labeled great. There were snakes, but it didn't say what kind. Check out the zookeeper art in the gift shop! And if you stick around long enough, you might get to see the wolves howling at the sirens! Peacocks are REALLY friendly. So are the Emu! The young lady in the gift shop was great to talk to, and very helpful! The noisy monkey's at the far end of the park are fun to watch! They get excited seeing kids!

problems. Need alot more coverage for tigers and lions. And they need meat not just grain to eat and a pump system that they can have cool water and water like pond to cool off in.other than that. I hope you get it soon.all the other animals seem fine. But meat eating animals need meat. Birds can eat bird food all say long. Hope you give fish to bees too. And other meat. In case they might end up in the wild some day.

Really enjoyed it! Got there about 10 am. The tigers we're talking it was very cool in person. You can walk around at your own pace and see the animals get fed. I'll definitely go again when I'm back in NC.

First time going and it was awesome!! Money well spent! Spent roughly 2 hours and the animals were active and also got to witness feeding time! They had a few employees walking around talking about the different animals. I think everyone needs to go at least once in their life!

It is fun and sweet! Even my little but older kids love it! Our closest zoo is 1.5 hours away, so this 30 minute drive, watch the carnivores get fed and then feed my carnivores works nicely.

It seems like a great place during our tour. Mostly young girls taking care of wild animals. They also do a small amount of breathing just to keep the gene pool alive. They could use all the donations they could get however. I can somewhat tell they're doing the best they can with what they have but it is still a great place to visit. Very educational and the animals really are beautiful.

Tiger World was amazing! Staff was well-educated and very nice, we got a behind the scenes look at some things when taking the evening feed tour, I got to help feed one of the tigers, animals were well taken care of. Habitats were specialized to fit every animals specific need (some animals have issues from previous owners and cannot do certain things) and animals all seemed happy. Very pleased with out visit, will be returning to help save the tigers!

Nice place, go early in the day or later. The 2pm tour isn't worth it too many animals hiding in shelters due to heat. The do need to clean some of the excess junk that's collecting around
