Very interesting animals. Loved the time spent with the family.
it's cool how close you can get to the animals, and they are doing it for a really good cause. they have animal experiences and a huge variety. the staff is super friendly and willing to answer questions. just watch it for the angry ape, as he will throw poop at you.
Small. However everyone is kind and social. Good for kids, and a quick visit to see something new and different.
Very pricey for how small it is. They also have a baboon they tell you not to look at or it will throw it's poop at you, we'll I did not look at it and it threw dirt at me, I was very unhappy they should not have it where it could potentially harm paying customers. I came to look not to look the other way. Won't be going back until it is removed.
Enjoyed throughly with my family. Baby Cubs were adorable. Very impressed just how close we were to these beautiful animals. We'll go back again soon!
Priced too high but staff is amazing. Animals were awesome. Great place if you can afford it!
I'll admit the enclosures could be bigger and closer to the animals natural habitat.... that being said, most of these animals are rescues and appear to be really well cared for and happy. It is a nice place to walk around and view large cats as well as other animals (some of which are in enclosures with friends which allows you to witness their interactions). We were there for about 2 1/2-3 hours and slowly strolled through the whole place. The staff was very nice and appeared to truly know and care for the animals which is reassuring to see. My only suggestion would be to include signs at each exhibit with information about the individual animal (not the species) such as how they came to be there, things about their personality, etc.....
Great place for a family trip, caring and well educated staff!!will definitely go back.
Great place for a fun family outing & up close encounters
Amazing experience, I loved all the animals there and would love to go back
Great view and unique experience, just want the animals to have more space
I brought my boyfriends sister here today and she had fun and all, and of course everyone loves seeing exotic animals. I asked the man at the front desk if they had any human food in the park because we tried to get something to eat on the way and passed nothing and he told me they had vending machines, but completely failed to mention that they only have drinks in them haha. But anyways, almost every lion and tiger I saw there today were crying and looked depressed. One cage for 2 tigers was completely mud, as its freezing out here they are sopping wet covered in mud with nowhere dry to lay down while crying. The cages were entirely too small and I wasnt the only one who noticed. There was a family next to us talking about how they wished they had more space to run around. It honestly broke my heart to see so many sad animals trapped like this. There water is disgusting or non existant. I saw one lady feed an animal and some of the meat was left outside of the cage where he couldnt reach it when she walked away and their faces were covered in it, I'm sure there is a better way to feed and water your animals. I heard they are trying to expand, and that should not happen if they cannot properly take care of the animals they already have. They need better conditions and much bigger cages. Why does the one bear have so much room but 2 tigers together have maybe a 4th of that space? I love animals and they have feelings just like humans do, but they would be better off being set free rather than stuck in little cages like these. And someone said they are trying to breed animals now? I thought this place was just a rescue, but I guess not. I also didnt know I could feed any animals, not one employee told us we could and I had to find out by reading the reviews on here. None of the animals looked starved, but that was like the only good thing about how they treat their animals. It just kind if seems like this place is following the lazy 5 ranch's footsteps. I truly hope that they improve and make this environment better for the animals. I even donated towards bigger cages, and I hope you use my money towards exactly that and not on expansion for more animals, if that happens first, you will need to give my money back because that is not what I donated it for. Please please please do better, the animals are relying on you guys.
Good place and only nearby place around Charlotte area for kids to look at few wild animals.
It was really fun, I wanna go again so I can see more lions but this was great. It was super hot, but totally worth it. The peacocks are just free roaming and touring the exhibits with you this was really great though, and the staff were nice too.
You can tell these people really care about the animals. Definitely invest an extra $5 for a cup of animal feed. Some of the animals are free to walk around with you, so wear shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.
Lot of big animals. I definitely would go early as possible because the animals are more active before it gets hot and we got to see them being fed. You can get very very close to them. Great time will be going back.
A lot more than I expected and a friendly staff. We went early to ensure the animals were awake...
Everyone was very friendly. Noone offered us feed for the birds. The animals seemed to be tired. They didn't do much walking. But my kids did enjoy themselves. We will probably go back.
The experience was really great. The place seemed kept up well enough and the animals seemed well cared for. We enjoyed it so much we got a season pass. Only drawback is that the animal food has peanuts in it - so if you are peanut allergic or have a child with nut allergies, you have to be careful as the animal food is all on the ground. My little one is allergic to peanuts. We were cautious about where she stepped and what she touched to make sure she wouldn't have a reaction. With that being said, if we felt like she was really in danger, we wouldn't have stayed and certainly wouldn't have bought a membership - just thought it's something others might like to know.
Really cool experience, I would definitely go back again.
Loved this experience and I cant wait to go back again
This is by far the most incredible close encounter experience I've ever had!!
My first experience there. They were very friendly and knowlegable about the animals. Beautiful rescues! I will definitely go back and support them!
This big cat rescue is nonprofit and has some amazing animals including big cats. It's small enough to enjoy in an afternoon, yet has plenty to see.
Had such a great time. It wasn't crowded and you can get pretty close to the animals!
Im a big follower of big Cats . They are truly amazing animals. I do have a favorite, which is the Lions...
Rest rooms need to be cleaner. The animals were awesome to see. Tigers and lions were amazing. Nice place for the family to visit.
Small very nice place for the kids. Non commercial which is very good in my book.
Neat place! Lions and Tigers Oh My! Various other animals. Josh was our tour guide for our group and did a great job!
Great place to take your family. This place is small but very nice. I brought a nice picnic and sat under a shaded area. They have several peacocks and other birds on the loose in the park. Very nice
Y'all will have to wait until I come back from heaven. Yes that is how much of an great experience that I had and am still having. Awesome and Mighty
The zoo makes a depressing impression. The territory is very small, the valers are tiny, the animals look pathetic. They are all skinny and obviously hungry. On the territory and in the cages, cages - dirty, a lot of manure and dirty animals, too, they smell bad. In the aviary with a bear, we have not seen a bear, but a large number of vultures are clearly not just sitting there. But animals animals and birds a lot. No disinfectants and soap in the toilet. The sight glasses have not been washed for a long time, it is hard to see through them. And even the workers of the park are all soiled. This menagerie must be closed, and the animals distributed to more prosperous places and not torment them.
Wife took me for a surprise trip!!!!!! Omg it was a blast I'm a huge cat person and all the different cats and so many of them, well I was in cat heaven.... great place and I can't wait to go back
This place was great afternoon fun. It is small and it allows you to have close contact with the animals without being too close but not far away like in a zoo. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. All of the people working there were very knowledgeable and had answers to every single question that we had. We will be back!
Its a small zoo with a lot of different animals. Definitely worth a visit.
We had a great time at Tiger World. Hope to visit again soon.
Completely worth the entrance fee! Lots to see and interact with! It was a hot day and the animals were out even in the heat!!
Wonderful place. I hope we can save the Tigers, wolves, Cougars, and more. Great family visit!
Keepers seemed pretty knowledgeable about their animals. Animals appeared healthy and are obtained from other zoos who don t meet the requirements under the Animal Care Act. However, despite the high reviews for this place the enclosures for these animals are pretty bare minimum. Dirty water, minimum size requirements for most of the animals. Animals looked bored and didn t really have any places to hide out away from the people. I appreciate their message and goals, but there are much nicer places where these animals could be much happier. This place is definitely struggling and needs some serious love to bring up the quality of its spaces.
Awful. Overpriced. Their card machine was down so I had to have 53 dollars in cash. We were the only ones there. Almost every tiger was sleeping, not to be woken up. The animals that were awake seemed so lethargic. The grounds looked unkept and the bathrooms were dirty. We saw no bear. We left depressed feeling sorry for the animals.
Surprisingly good sanctuary for big cats. I was expecting a bad roadside zoo when we drove in, but the animals were well cared for, the staff really cared, and there was good educational information at every single animal enclosure.
Great place to visit with family or small children. Took my 7yr old and had us a blast! From the lions, tigers, and bears...his favorite thing was the kangaroos and squirrels. Everyone was friendly and all of the critters were happy. Thanks all of you at Tiger World for the wonderful experience. We will be back!!!
Great place to visit. Nonprofit organization does a good job with the animals. 1 staff member seemed to be in a bad mood the day we visited.
It's amazing got to feed the wolfs and everything! I totally recommend it
Great place to see tigers. Must have been 6 or 7 different species of tigers alone. They are making improvements to the enclosures. Will keep going back to see how it turns out.
Today's visit was AWESOME. After visiting the NC Zoo last Sunday, I wanted to go somewhere that had a lot of the big cats! This was the place I found online and I'm glad I visited. To me its better than the zoo! Lots of animals, not a lot of walking at all! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back! Great for a family!
Very children friendly. Up close interaction with the animals. Play ground, picnic tables and more. Highly recommend.
This place is awesome. And they do a lot of good help try and save endangered species. They were able to answer any questions I had, and I will recommend it to anyone
Loved it! All the animals were beautiful, look very healthy, you can clearly see that they are well taken care of! Keep the good job.
We loved the park and greatly enjoyed seeing all the animals.
It is a tiger sanctuary. The place is on the small side compared to a zoo. I was a little worried about spending 15 dollars at first glance. I actually spent over 3 hours there and would have spent more if only I packed a lunch. (Picnic) I will be back.
We visited this small zoo with our grandchildren. The animals are mostly cats but they are beautiful. Tigers, lions, leopards, and other cats. One of the guides there was very informative and we enjoyed our visit.
We can see lions and tigers from ver near.Had fun at my visit.
It takes about an hour or so to see everything. Nice to have a zoo closer than asheboro.
We had more fun with a squirrel some of the animals weren't there and they hardly had any. They had one wolf that didn't look so good the people who work there didn't have time to talk and when they did they acted like we didn't exsist they wouldn't let us even just feel the sloth's hair unless we paid 100.00 dollars it was a very unhappy visit a few of the worker's were nice but very few I'm sorry
My wife is in love with cats of any kind. She adores Tiger World so much that we purchased year long passes for both of us. Tiger world also has a Liger, a Ti-Liger two bears, Brutus and Cleo, peacocks that freely roam. Emu, kangaroos, a wallaby or two, and a few others! You can feed certain animals for $5 a cup, which is plenty of food. And you can keep the cool Tiger World cup when you leave! Or even "donate" it to be re-used. Awesome place for animal lovers.
Nice selection of animals. Relaxing zoological preserve.
So much fun and the staff is wonderful and very informative.
Great little place! And an important cause. Check it out if your around.
How could anyone ever complain about seeing big rescued cats, and so many. Tigers, Lions, Liger, Bears, Monkeys, a sloth and so much more. Very reasonably priced. Good time to go is on an overcast day, so no one is hiding. Best time to go is feeding time, the whole park is roaring at once. We got to hold and feed a sloth today, that was definitely a highlight that we will never ever forget. The staff is very knowledgeable and the sloth was so sweet.
Had a good variety of animals and was entertaining - you re not too far from the animals so getting pictures
Love this place, it was shady all over and the animals were close together. My daughter got to feed the guinea fowlers and the peacocks out of her hand. I was disappointed that the animals weren't hungry when we tried to feed them. Also, went to see a Liger and it was not out to see.
Great place to go! Learned they are a nonprofit and all cost goes into taking care of the rescued animals!
Great privately owned and operated zoo. Allows a closer exposure to the animals than any zoo I have ever been to. Also, you can purchase food to feed certain animals when you purchase your tickets.
When it's warm out go in the morning. Cats are sleeping in the afternoon.
