This place is pretty crazy I was not expecting to see as much as we saw and I loved how lively all the animals were. they have some animals freely roaming around mostly birds such as peacocks and little kiwi looking birds that are not kiwis. It overall was just a very interactive and engrossing experience. It was crowded but I couldn't be upset about that because the animals were so lively. If there was any reason I could not give this place if I star rating it would mainly be because of the fact that some of the animals have such free reign of the place that they even will carry themselves into the bathroom and I mean people bathroom and you'll have to attempt to do your business with animals in there and they are far from clean astronomically far.so if you want to have a really good time and be ready to give it a 5-star review you need to use the restroom before you step foot anywhere near this place.

It was a very nice place. Could use some updates like on some of the signs. But the cages and animals looked very happy and taken care of. Will take our family back and priced reasonable as well.

Don't you think that these animals would much rather prefer to be free. They are caged up all day and all night, they have no space to run wild. Now I'm not saying that the work here is bad or anything, I'm just saying that animals need to be free, not kept in these small cages with limited food for our own amusement. Imagine if you were stuck in your room forever and someone would come up twice a day to give you crumby food and water. Animals are just as important as people.

First visit to see the animals! Great experience. Animals easily visible in their enclosures. One of the staff spend a lot of time with us telling about the big cats! Will definitely go back!

Tiger World is small, but the animals appear to be well cared for, the cages and environment clean, and the staff knowledgeable. Some of the signage is incomplete and slightly dated, but it's obvious they're putting an effort into educating the public on the animals as well as climate & environmental threats. A few volunteers or staff mingling amongst visitors offering education and answering questions would be a very nice addition; most were very busy cleaning, feeding, running the gift shop, etc. Go to Group On before you visit; you'll save considerably by purchasing your tickets there.

I understand why this place is here, but it's heartbreaking. The first tiger is in maybe a 25ft x 25ft cage & was pacing constantly like an inmate waiting to be fed. Seeing people take pictures of them for their own amusement made me feel physically sick. Seeing the animosity of them when they were being fed was disturbing. I dont want to ever come here again. The only reason I came was for my fiancee & stepson.

This is my happy place and my favorite sanctuary. To say that they care about the animals is an understatement!!!!! It's obvious that they LOVE them and you can see that in the animals eyes. It's super clean and the staff and volunteers go above and beyond. Some of the animals have horrible back stories prior to being saved by Tiger World and the staff do whatever it takes to improve their future. They work tediously and tirelessly to provide a higher quality of life always putting the animals above their own needs. I can go on and on but I salute anyone who selflessly cares for animals. It's not just a job to them it's all heart and soul. Thank you!!!

Excellent destination for the whole family! Lots of different animals to experience, learn about, get REALLY close to, and in some cases even feed! Go and support this excellent conservation site for turtles and birds all the way up to lions and bears!

The animals are cool. I need to research a bit more in how well some animals could live in such small area. I'm sure they do what they can the best way they can. It is my own opinion that animals shouldn't be in cages where they have limited space.

Such a great place. Took my Christmas tree in with me this year. I love being able to recycle it one last time. Only thing I wish was there was more information about the particular animal and the reason they're in the rehabilitation center. I'd like to know what care they're getting along with the information about the animal in general. Overall great way to spend the day. Oh, and right now there are lion Cubs that are so adorable. This is a must do if you live in the NC area.

Great work. Keep it up!

Very saddened and disappointed after visiting this place. Don t be fooled when the website and brochure read natural setting , as there is nothing natural about this place. The cages appear WAY too small for these big, beautiful animals (tigers, lions, panthers, ligers, bears, etc.). In every single cage, and I mean every single one, the animals looked miserable, drugged, or anxious - pacing the fences!! Not to mention, you would see under veterinary care on almost all of them.

I understand this is a nonprofit, and I fully support nonprofits, as I currently work for one myself. However, this place needs significant updating to provide a healthy environment for these animals. Instead of bringing in new animals, which I m sure costs money, please try creating a habitat that s more conducive to healthy, happy animals.

It was heartbreaking to see, and my partner and I could only be there 30 mins.

We love visitng Tiger World! It is a great zoo alternative as it is smaller and my young kids can easily walk around without getting tired. We love how close we can see the animals. In our experience the animals are more active in the morning so that's when we usually go. There is a playground too which is always fun for the kids. We pack a picnic lunch and eat at one of the picnic tables and make a day of it.

This place is truly atiger world full of wild animals and smaller space that visitors do not have to walk around a lot especially when visiting with kids. The lions and tigers are well taken care of and we could have a closer look at them than any other zoo. Worth the trip.. adults and kids would equally enjoy this place.
