Great to see so many large cats rescued from a life in the circus or from private collectors who could not care for them. I would like to see the habits be larger and would like more information posted about each animal in the preserve.

I imagined this place being set up in someone's backyard out in the country but was pleasantly surprised to find a much larger park filled with unique and endangered wild animals and staff members who really cared. Access my complete review at Trend Magazine Online. #trendmagazineonline

Absolutely an amazing experience to be so close to...

Absolutely an amazing experience to be so close to so many big cats, bears, monkeys, kangaroos and more! My wife and I were in awe. Now to those who dont fully get what this place is about... This is not a funded zoo with a vast expanse of concrete and lush landscaping. Tiger World is an exotic animal rescue funded by donations and volunteers. About the animals: These incredible creatures were raised by others as pets, many declawed, have been hand fed all their lives and could NOT survive in the wild. Tiger World rescues these animals from poor or neglectful conditions and take care of them with such loving care. Every animal we saw (very up close by the way) all looked very healthy, well fed and beautiful. We are going back this coming weekend with visiting family. This is a must see if you have kids or grand kids. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy 2 or 3 hours of the most up close exotic cat experience you will ever have.

Zero Maintenance.. Facility isn t clean, ruins & waste everywhere.. As for animals, feed times are so early morning, you can t even plan to be there - park open hours, animals are barely active.
Typically your visit goes like this Get the tickets, walk around trying hard to get a peek at napping animals.. if you get lucky probably get a glimpse of one or two. Attendants barely make any effort to play/interact with animals or you. Even before you realize, you re done wandering around, barely in 20-30 mins.. what a disappointment..!!
Save yourself the pain & money.. If you re close to Florida, Probably just drive over to Catty Shack Ranch in JAX - you won t regret it...

Wonderful all around experience! Much more personal than a zoo, and they are actually doing something positive.

This facility is a hidden gem. They have a large number of big cats, along with other rare and endangered species. It's not a zoo but a sanctuary that provides a home for rescued big cats and animals that could no longer be cared for at other facilities.

This place was a fantastic surprise - probably a better experience than most zoos. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, touring area was spacious, and all animals seemed very well cared for. Definitely coming back to support them.

Tigerworld is a wonderful trip and a good time for all ages. Bill, onsite volunteer is an awesome guide and very knowledgeable about every single animal at the park. Ages 2 - 38 in my group and everyone had a super good time. So up close and personal with the animals and if your lucky enough to catch feeding time, you're in for a real treat!

Lots of tigers and Lion to see. You dont have to travel much as evrything is close, so good for parents with kids. But they have lesser animals compared to zoo. Also driving stroller around is difficult at some parts.

Would be five stars if the bathrooms weren't utterly disgusting. Some exhibits seemed too small but maybe because they were older, who knows But overall we had fun checking out all the animals. Didn't get to see the bears. And the playground was a fun addition for the little ones!

So happy to see this place opens during the virus. Loved every bit. We were so happy to see storm, a white tiger, again after some years. We got a photo a while back when he was a baby and it was awesome to see him all grown up. There's so many animals there like kangaroos, a white wolf, white lions, and more. There's even ducks and geese and peacocks that walk around the place and get super close. For $5 you can get a feeding cup so you can feed turtles and ducks and it even comes with peanuts that geese and squirrels like. The variety of animals that are there will be enjoyable for everyone. The bears were also very cool. I think everyone should come here atleast once. There's even more animals then I already listed like monkeys, vultures, and owls and they have lakes filled with other animals for you to feed. Love it.

I love the concept. They're taking in rescues and doing what they can to give them the best life possible. The enclosures seem adequate for the animals, with the possible exception of some of the primates, but I think they're being treated well.

As for the guest experience, the general feel of the place seems a little run-down. The landscaping isn't really kept up and most of the fixtures are very old. The copious number of peacocks and geese means there's a lot of poop to dodge, so I wouldn't let a toddler wander too far away from you.

But the result is that you get more up close and personal with most of these animals than you ever will at a traditional zoo. You can stand inches away from kangaroos, bears, all kinds of stuff, and they're all very well socialized animals.

Overall, I think it's a good place. They're doing what they can with limited funds, and it's working pretty well for them. I think with increased popularity and some more cash flow, they could do a lot of things I imagine they'd like to do as far as upgrading the facility.

When we drove up we wondered if we were at the right place. Not a scenic place when you drive up. Wondered if we wanted to go in. So glad we did. First off, this is a sanctuary for these animals that most had no where to go. You will notice that a lot of these animals have sponsors to help fund them being there. They welcome donations to help fund what they do for these animals, which we had no problem doing. There was no pressure in donating. Once you walk through and see these amazing animals and see what the staff is doing for them you can't help but open your wallet. This is a must see. These people truly love what their doing.

Animals looked drugged an mild nutritional. Not what I was excepting. Then we paid 58 bucks only to get halfway to the back an was told to come bk later because they was hiding eggs for the Easter egg hunt but we wasn't there to easter egg hunt we only there to see the animals. I had asked one of the staff where the kangaroos was, i found them, they was cold and seeking shelter looked horrible first time I had ever felt bad for animals in captivate

I understand that the money raised through donations and entry is supposed to go to the care of the animals but it sure doesn't seem like the animals are kept up. You could smell them and could see that the conditions the animals lived in could be way better. Not saying I expect it to be as good as a big zoo but definitely feel like the enclosures need work. One of the baboons couldn't open its eye and had a big growth on its rear end. My kids loved the experience I just wish I felt like my money was going to a good cause as rescuing animals from a bad situation to only have them live in squalor isn't a good solution to me.

Loved it. The staff LOVES answering questions and are really knowledgeable. Amazing day adventure! I've read some reviews that said the enclosures were too small and the cats don't get "enrichment" or the cats were lethargic. Honestly the cats do seem to get sleepy after feeding time (me too!). But what that person may not have known is that some of the rescued cats need to be in smaller enclosures for health reasons or that many of the cats enclosures are rotated. Also the staff uses TONS of enrichment, but a lot of that includes scents that can't be "seen". I would definitely suggest going and taking a FREE tour do you can ask any questions you have about the animals and then making your own decision. A few questions can make a huge difference in your perspective and you're almost certain to learn something new!!!

I made the mistake of going back a second time. The first time I enjoyed the animals, because they were so vocal, despite how rude the gift shop lady was. She tainted my experience, she was short with her answers, and she seemed annoyed. I didn't let that ruin my trip,so we went in anyway. The second time I called first to ask what time do they feed the animals on Sunday. She told me, the last few days they had been feeding the animals before they opened. She also, went on to say they will probably do the same thing on Monday, the day I told her I'd decided to come on. I went anyway, because I had out of town guess with me. When we arrived, they were late opening the place . We didn't get in until about 20 minutes after the time they were supposed to open. When we got in, I asked the gift shop lady a few questions and again, she was rude and her answers were short. I did get a chance to see them feed the animals, even though she told me something different. Needless to say, who ever that woman is in the gift shop is costing this place business. I will never return, as long as she's the person working admission, I refuse to continue to hand my money over to a person like that. To add insult to injury, I asked her about feeding the animals, and she said we can't feed them. '"They are apex predators" were her words exactly. Not one time, did she mention you can feed the monkeys, birds, bears, and wolves. I had to find that out from another guest I saw holding a cup full of feed. Unbelievable! I don't know if this woman is rude, hates her job, or just simply has a bad attitude. Whatever her issue, it need to be addressed or she needs to be fired or perhaps she should be feeding the animals and cleaning the cages.....She need to do anything that doesn't involve her talking to people. From the look of this place they can use all the money they can get and she's running customers away.

We took my grandchildren to Tigerworld. I was visiting them and this was their first time to visit as well. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. You could take a guided tour or walk around on your own, which is what we chose to do. We also opted to buy cups of food to feed the birds and animals that were allowed to be feed. We were given a map that was clearly marked and signs were clearly posted as to which animals you could feed. There were a large collection of birds(roosters, ducks, peacocks, Guinea)that followed us around asking for hand outs. This was a bit intimidating at first to the little ones in our group, but they figured out pretty quick the birds were ok. The Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bear and baby lions were incredible to see so up close. There are so many animals to see. I encourage you to go to Tiger World if you are in the area, it is a reserve that focuses on rescue and rehabilitation. There was plenty of staff on hand, caring for the animals and talking to visitors. They have a website that let's you know what you need to before you go.

We arrived about 30 minutes after they opened and were told the big cats were currently being fed, and if we followed the red truck around, we could watch. What a cool experience! We walked around quickly to all the cats while they were being fed, and then went around again to see what we missed. Michael is a gorgeous white lion! We also got to see staff interacting with his three cubs (currently 1.5 years old) - we could've watched them all day! It was so fun to see the staff play with them and give them commands to follow. The staff were also very willing to answer any questions and offer additional information on the growing cubs and their parents (Michael and Star). There are also tigers (of course!), cougars, panthers and jaguars, as well as other animals. We enjoyed our visit!

This is the best zoo if ever been is amazing it just out here in the middle of a neighborhood their so many beautiful animals, even though their trapped in the cages their being help by the money spent here, it has a great cause, and the amount of rare animal is unbelievable theirs a LIGER I thought I would never see one there is a white tiger, and a funny story while I was their I was watching the lion and one of them peed on me, no joke it sprayed me, so if you see a lion turn around and lift its tail run, unless you want to be peed on, not gonna lie though its pretty awesome story to tell being peed on by a lion who can say that!

Great place for all cat lovers! With not so many people and all animals close by, this is a terrific experience for anyone. We went there for tigers' birthday party and that was super fun watching them tearing apart cardboard boxes and pumpkins! Nice cats!

It is a fun place to take the kids. It is a little on the pricier side to visit, but it goes to a good cause of keeping up the place and animals. I would suggest going in the morning or avoiding heat altogether. We went after lunch, so all of the animals were resting due to the heat. I would go back again and i would suggest everyone going at least once.

Very different than the average zoo style in a good way. We loved it only downside is the drink machines only take cash and the souvenir shop only sold ice cream so we were too hot and just left earlier than i would have liked. Next time I will plan better.

Poop every where. Place definitely needs to be updated. Some of the cages where pretty small . And animals look bored and tired. Bath room was horrible. The reptile indoors need to be update i took one step in the door and walked back out it was so dirty and needed to be updated. Peacocks are aggressive.
