Always fantastic! Professional staff, great chefs and they allowed my service dogs happily! We make it a must to dine there when we are in Rockford I'll. It just doesn't get better when it comes to fine dining! You need to experience this 5 star restaurant! I'm very picky and they always satisfy my total experience! Go their!

Excellent food. And price to match. Service was great. Fantastic fish and chicken alfredo. Stayed next door during the Rockford BMX Nationals. Would have gone here for breakfast lunch and dinner if I had time.

I ordered the sirloin tips with mashed potatoes and was disappointed with the taste and temperature of the food. The Alfredo tasted like the sauce came from a store bought jar. Wouldn t recommend.

They catered our wedding on October 1rst. Everything was amazing. Katlyn was with us every step of the way and handled any issues seamlessly. Couldn't be happier we chose them for our special day

Nice place with good food. Would definitely go back if I'm in rockford again. Did have an issue with the bill as my buddy and I both got charged for an extra drink we didn't have. They fixed it though.

Not at all impressed. Big open restaurant that was basically empty however the server didn t really seem to be around. Food was mediocre at best. Daughter had fish and said that Culver s fish tastes better. I ordered a steak it left much to desire. The bread was good!

We actually has really bad service, way understaffed, horribly negative attitude from the server, the Manager was nice enough but my gosh....people even thought they were closed and we got there at 8pm??? Just a pretty bad deal overall....

Took my wife and granddaughter to lunch on Sunday, the first time there since covid 19. I was very disappointed in the breakfast menu. I ordered steak and eggs and you would think that it would come with toast for the price but it didn't, there was a add charge of $2.00 for 1 piece cut in half, ordered eggs over easy and that didn't happen, ordered steak medium and came well done and very salty. Very sad because always loved the breakfast brunch. Really shocked about the toast, come on 1 piece cut in half for $2 bucks, hell you can buy a loaf for that. Since when does toast not come with breakfast. I think this was way overpriced and will loose a few customers. Menu should be redone because it is not family friendly, way to expensive. $60.00 for three people plus tip ,ouch.

I have never had the pleasure of dining in at Thunder Bay, but I used them to cater a holiday party. They were extremely professional, on schedule, and the food (we went with a heavy appetizer plan) was delicious. I would highly recommend Thunder Bay and their catering team. Outstanding job!

This is the second time we have eaten here while staying at the hotel next door. We both had a glass of wine - good value for a fairly decent glass For dinner we split the seared salmon (wild caught Atlantic) salmon and the spicy seared ahi appetizer. In both cases the fish was cooked perfectly and the accompaniments were delicious. For dessert we split a nice sized but not huge very tasty (but didn t live the frosting) piece of carrot cake. Both times we have been here it was not very busy - not sure why as the service, food and prices are all very good

Great food, fair price and excellent service. Try the salmon burger. An unusal pairing of flavors that blend together providing sweey, savory and crunch. Best sandwich I have had in a very long time.

I read more than 1 review of cold food & running out of dishes @ brunches. It s still happening! If you need to raise price by $1-$3 to get more plates or better chafing dishes, please do it! It would still be a good deal. The warm food is sooo good!
Thick slices of bacon, mini belgium waffles, big fluffy biscuits, fried shrimp, eggs benedict, and much more. If management is taking suggestions: maybe add fried chicken?
Restaurant interior is like a big log cabin; great atmosphere.
Almost forgot, staff needs lesson on how to make Bloody Marys, seriously, their awful. Could only finish 1/4 of it.

Great

I am really surprised the reviews are so good for this place. I would expect a woodsy cabin atmosphere when I enter this place, however I get blasted in the face with what is attempting to be fine dining and techno music. The food was Rockford-decent. Be careful eating the complimentary bread nuggets, you can break your teeth on them.

Brunch was good. Nice experience. I think the food would have been better if I didn't go right before the brunch was over. Brownie was . A bit on the $$ side for those who don't eat a lot, fyi.

We love Thunder Bay! Always great food, drinks and service! The brunch is our favorite in the area too. The bruschetta, cheese curds, and steak flatbread appetizers are delicious!! My two favorite dinners are the Salmon Fresca and the steak medallion trio. The salmon fresca is so fresh and delicious with fresh grilled veggies and feta cheese with a citrus butter...out of this world!!! The steak medallions come with three different crusts and bearnaise sauce...so yummy! The biscuits and cinnamon honey butter are so good too! My favorite drink is the Sunset by the Bay...its like a mai tai, yummy and refreshing! Thunder Bay is on our favorite restaurant rotation for sure!

Great service and safe practices. The server, Kaitlynn was patient with my order and remembered my request to not include togo items (I.e. napkins, plastic ware or bag). Delicious food! I highly recommend the balsamic mushroom dish.

Made online Reservations added 3 by phone, they updated my online details next day. They confirmed the night before. They were very patient with us and with us needing gluten free. Great choice for our Pre-Thanksgiving family dinner of 15! Thank you for great service and hospitality!!

Biscuits served as bread with meal are awesome. We had good food, good drinks and great service. The chicken jambalaya and brussel sprout with bacon flatbread were great.Everything was delicious and came out much faster than expected. Great experience overall. We will definitely be back!

The service was fantastic! The food tasted great! I loved the cinnamon butter so much! Yum! And it wasn't all that expensive. It's on the pricey end but not terrible expensive. I'm sure I'll definitely be back sometime!

It came with a nice mixed green side salad, roasted potatoes and green beans. It was a pleasant surprise getting good Cajun spiced food in Rockford, IL, but that's what it was: very good! I also couldn't pass up trying the apple cider sangria and it was so good I'm going to attempt to make this for my family for the holiday!

I went here to eat for lunch with my Mom and Dad. Our waiter was super friendly and the food was great. My Dad even ordered another dinner to take home. Definitely will go back if we lived closer.

We live approximately 11 hours away, but make a point when traveling to be sure to 'land' in Rockford near dinner in order to visit Thunder Bay. We've been doing so for about 6-7 years and have had consistently good food and service. The lodge style decor is both attractive and has been kept in good condition. We had a steak and salmon salad and both were perfectly cooked to specification and their bread service is worth the stop alone. The only downside (like many other restaurants) is the lack of Gluten Free bread and the need for a larger variety of menu items to select from.
