Went here for lunch. Food was delicious but way overpriced in my opinion. Their Sunday brunch buffet is delicious and has a wonderful variety of foods. Still a bit pricey
Welcome this restaurant back! They are doing social distancing and masking and everything we ordered was so delicious. Coconut shrimp, peppercorn crusted salmon salad with goat cheese and crostini and beer batter shrimp. Waitstaff very friendly and nice to our 4 year old.
Good was good. Atmosphere is nice. Rustic. Like a cabin. So it definitely fits the name
Best time is go on Sunday brunch 9until 1:30. Friendly staff

Thunderbay deserves a shout out and another thank you for an awesome catered Wedding Reception up at DC Winery. The food choices were fantastic. The food quality was excellent. The service was without mistake, professional, polite, quick, again flawless...what more can I say. Steak and shrimp perfect. Salmon Im told was out of this world. The chicken breast with the sauce, I was told by more than a few it was delicious with amazing flavor. The manager was working the bar with female bartender. They were also non stop all night. The crew that did Carleys wedding was and the supervisor were top rate. Thank you for helping to make my daughters reception a great evening.

I don't know why the reviews are as good as they are for this place. I ordered chicken jambalaya, it was like eating Uncle Ben's rice with some lame sausage and chicken in it. I was very disappointed with my meal, especially at this price point.
The food here is always great. Molly, our server, was exceptionally good and very pleasant.
I wanted a quiet date night with good food and nice atmosphere. Instead I got overpriced microwave dinner and a dining room full of children I wanted to hit. Sent my food back because everything on the plate was bad. Everything. Left after regretfully paying 41 dollars for my wifes meal and ONE appetizer. Won't be back. Recommend going somewhere else.

I would give this restaurant 0 stars if possible. I did not realize I was paying for a McDonalds experience when I came with my husband tonight for dinner. We were seated in the main hall area and pitifully waited on by harried staff. The food was not passable and my husband had to send his back. My husband and I had to shout across the table to each other to have a conversation. I am not sure why, in this time, parents were letting their children scream and bang on tables and run around. Terrible dining experience overall.

Beautiful restaurant. My waitress seemed too new. Never asked what our girls wanted with their kids meals. Hubby and I both ordered the medallion trio she didn't ask how we wanted them we had to ask her if we could have them how we wanted them. The trio is suppose to have 3 different flavors they all tasted the same plus I asked for mine to be medium well and they arrived rarer then medium even. The chefs there should go to Cooper Hawks in Schaumburg to see how medallions should be. At 28 dollars you should have the 3 different flavors that the menu claims they have.

Very good good and service. We were staying overnight on a trip North and found this lovely restaurant by chance. The outside of the building was quite attractive, so we decided to try it. The food easy delicious, the service excellent, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere relaxing.

Food was pretty good. I feel like they were under staffed as we waited a bit for drink refills and appetizer. I am going to suggest hiring someone to remodel the men's bathroom though. It's out dated and over half the lights were burnt out.

First time we have ever eaten the Sunday breakfast brunch at Thunder Bay Grille. The brunch food was basically okay and nothing to write home about. The server was pretty nice but the hostess that greeted us was borderline rude and visibly lazy.

The staff is helpful and sweet to us and our children. Everything I've ever eaten there has been delicious. My only complaint is the lighting...it is purposefully dark in the dining area and the atmosphere doesn't feel "romantic" enough for said lighting.
First time ever there and was not impressed. Had the fish and chips and the fish itself was not bad but the batter on it was similar to the dough from an elephant ear and was soggy and not crispy. The tartar sauce tasted and looked like someone put mayonnaise in a cup. The house slaw was very runny and not good taste what so ever. Will never visit again.
This place is awesome. The food was great but I was way more impressed with the customer service. Our servers were genuinely kind and exceptionally nice.
Decent roadside stop in Rockford. Seemed like the best option, was a little longer than we intended to stop while driving back to the city. Large menu, friendly staff, sit down dining.

As a professional driver it's often difficult to find exceptionally good food. Thunder bay grille is exactly that. PHENOMINAL!!! Amazing food, service and environment!! So glad we stopped here. The holiday inn next door has truck parking.

Passing through the area on our Wisconsin we got off the exit trying to find a place to eat. We saw the sign for Thunder Bay Grille and thought we would give it a try. This restaurant is a must if your passing though the area! You will not be disappointed. This is a lodge/outdoorsy decorated restaurant. Great variety of food soups, salads, fish, steaks, ribs, roast and burgers. Our waitress was incredibly kind and worked hard to see everyone happy. Food was amazing. The potato soup is the best I have ever eaten.
We went to dinner tonight, our motel was just around the corner. The good reviews convinced us. I had salmon on cedar wood with teriyaki glaze, stir-fried vegetables and rice noodles; I can only say very, very well! My wife had pasta pesto, acu very good but very oily. In addition, Chardonay and I have a Boubon Reserve, Perfect !! The restaurant is not cheap, but good!
The level of service and quality of food is outstanding here. After living in Mississippi for 4 years and then moving here I miss cajun food pretty badly. The food here helps me not miss it as badly. The staff is always so friendly and attentive.
If you love the feel of a lodge this is your place- good food- and nice presentation - wait staff and management could've been more present and paid special attention to the couple as we were there for a rehearsal dinner.
I came here because of a Drunkin Sirloin I saw advertised but they didn t have that on the menu. But they had a Filet Trio that was to die for. The three toppings were delicious and the steaks melted in my mouth. Not cheap but worth every dime!! Highly recommend.

We've only eaten here once.... but it will likely be our last. We all got pretty ill after eating the Sunday Brunch buffet. The server was beyond nice, and the food actually taste ok, but eesh. Something didn't agree with us at all. Maybe try on not a buffet day?
10/10 for the food, I had seafood fondue and it was amazing! I also had the bouillabaisse and it was incredible, the flavors just mixed so well. If I'm ever in the area again I'm definitely hitting this place up, the service was great and the staff was super friendly and personable. You definitely must try this place.
