Saw Mary Poppins, script not as original film, extra scenes added and others changed, no penguins for example. Mary Poppins actress voice not strong enough.

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert....
AMAZING
Goldilocks was brilliant, a really great evening full of laughter.
Excellent acoustics, superb show, refreshing ice cream (though I'd have preferred a local brand like Doddington's) and seats so much better since the refurbishment. A top class theatre and a wonderful asset to the city. Very friendly staff too.
Excellent show and well organised. The kids and adults loved the Christmas panto.
Went to see the Jersey Boys the franky valli story brilliantly done
Good Venue, helpful staff, must book well in advance for shows, great atmosphere, usual facilities.
The show was a five star, the theatre not so. Couldn't get anywhere near bars (three). Arrived a good 15 mins before show and didn't get served in time for start. Some of the draught drinks had run out but would be available for interval. Wasn't allowed in at first as show had started so had to wait outside with loads of others until told ok to go in. One guy (worked there) took his group diving in front of us realised they needed to be upstairs and quickly pushed passed us - we knocked into people behind us spilling their drinks. They also block your phone's whilst the show is running, weird you'd think they'd like people to check in, rate the shows etc
The Theatre Royal is a lovely theatre.Every time we have been we have thoroughly enjoyed what we have been to see and the staff are always friendly and helpful
Pantomime - very good show, found the adult humour too much in places though.
Show was brilliant, facilities good, organisation good.
Seats a bit small. Especially if the person next to you is on the large size.
Excellent performance of Holes
Nice theatre and very polite and helpful staff.
Shows are brilliant bit the seating arrangement is sad. No legspace at all.. everyone on a row needs to standup to allow people to move to and from their seats to the aisle. Food not allowed inside. Washrooms are limited and make for long queues. You can't carry more than a tiny handbags because the place so cramped inside. Runs well only because of the love for theatre and excellent performing artists
Great theatre and the superseats were great in stall rows F & G
Calender Girls- The Musical. It was very good. Funny and sad. However, like most shows I have found, the backing music is too loud for the solos. Shame.
Stunning architecture in the heart of the city , always
Fantastic shows . We take the kids to the panto every year and the RSC regularly perform . Brilliant!
This beautiful building adds to your theatre experience.
Going to the theatre here reminds me how much we love going to the theatre here.
Rocky horror show fab .disappointed a young child of about 8 was allowed in to watch .it was an x rated show
One of the most beautiful grade 1 listed theatre's you will ever see, opened in 1857, a must see place if you love architecture, inside is lavishly decorated with artwork.
Great show really enjoyed it this year Danny and the crew done a fantastic job
The Theatre Royal in Newcastle is a magnificent building of it's age and anyone who has ever seen its interiors would know how stunningly beautiful they are. My partner and i recently saw a play there and even though we were up in the amphitheatre we could here the dialogue clearly though patrons with sight issues may have problems distinguishing actors faces. The seats we sat in were comfortable to start with but after about an hour there was a lot of fidgeting, i guess that comes with the territory.
Went to see Benedorm last night absolutely fan Dabby dozey belly laughs and innocent innuendo's all the way.
Comfy seating, good acoustics and an excellent stage show.
Box Office access is shocking. Can never book online and now office closed for 'training'! Very frustrating.
Fantastic performance of Les Miserables last week, great theatre staff, the only thing is that the theatre was so incredibly warm it was borderline uncomfortable.
A fantastic experience and superb quality, but there's no denying it is an expensive event.
Amazing I went to see Goldilocks with friends and it was amasing
Excellent help retrieving a ticket and booking it just now ;from a really nice man in booking office; after fighting with technology and tearing my hair out. Thank you.
Took my little one to see Tom Gates. Just a magical place with a great atmosphere
Seats are so uncomfortable and cramped. Had to move to the Auditorium for more comfort and space however view wasn't very good.
Beautifully renovated Theatre on Grey Street in teh city centre - friends membership excellent value, and the possibility to acquire half price standby tickets 1.5 hours before the show to most shows (unless sold out) is a standout feature particularly great for students. Drawing more and more West End shows and international Dance Companies this is surely a place to savour.
Enjoyed Evita - magnificent show the cast was amazing.
Beautiful old style theatre showing the wonderful Matthew Bourne's, Romeo & Juliet, brilliant loved it.
the kids and myself loved the Theatre Royal the staff are to helpful and pleasant.
Fantastic theatre. Beautiful building inside and out.
Friendly helpful staff, great ice cream and wonderful show.
Excellent theatre and staff shamed about some of the management
Went to see mamma Mia loved it needs more toilets though
Great show in a great theatre but the seats arent built for somebody of my proportions.
Thoroughly enjoyed Peter Pan however.
The annual pilgrimage to see Goldilocks and the 3 bears which was fantastic.
