Lasting a little less because of Covid. More than terrifying, it's pretty a informative walk-along activity. Interactive, tho. I wouldn't recommend it for people who don't understand English so well, as you'll probably get asked to follow instructions and perform a little.

I am not sure, but this might be a chain of dungeons - seems the one in London and Edinburgh are similar.
There is nothing wrong with that, of course.
For some reason, this was a bit tricky to find, in spite of street signs, so be sharp.
Squished penny machine: Bonus

A brilliant place to take the kids! An absolutely fantastic experience and very entertaining! The staff here go above and beyond to include you into the performance and really do work extremely hard! It wasn't what I expected, it was way better than anything I ever imagined! Well worth the money and it actually teaches you a lot about the history of the dungeons. If you're in York, then make sure you book time in to go round the dungeons... It's fantastic!!!

I feel like the places inside the dungeon were fun and educational however it was a bit too cramped and the kids were feeling a little scared. The actors were funny too definitely recommend for the family just the older ones

It's been over 10 years since I was last here with my kids ,now I'm taking my new partners kids ,it's still good ,still busy but you get time in your group to see everything and learn something and get scared

Great fun. Would be pricey for a family without any discounts, but dare say it's worth it. Great actors, thoroughly enjoyable, a bit gory at times, but all done with good humor. Fantastic at Halloween, and a good friend bits of history thrown in. Great way to spend an hour or two! You can even grab a beer now at the end.

I really liked the Dungeon. At first I was wary thinking maybe this is just for kids but there were a lot of jokes that adults could enjoy too as well as some interesting historical facts. The actors were brilliant and every single one made you feel like you were the first and only group. I'd recommend it if you just want some light-hearted fun in York for an hour and a half. Could be scary for very little kids though.

I had the best time here with my girlfriend on a date, everyone stays in character the whole time and it's so so immersive. Quick note to anyone going though, when they monk at the start asks whence you came, that means where did you come from

York is a beautiful and beautiful ancient city. Walking back in the street seems to be a return to the past. It is very much like the feeling brought to us by Taiwan - Dadao Rice.

This Tower is not large, but it is located in the city center and becomes a very popular attraction.
Surrounded by green grass, it is like a castle.
Around it is the Castle Museum, so many people will hold activities and picnics here during the holiday season.
Very suitable for family or three or five friends to enjoy a relaxing sunbathing

York Dungeon.
Coconuts can't watch horror movies... It's also a long time to participate in this trip alone.
Although it was scared many times...but it is very different from Taiwan s haunted house. Scenes and actors describe the historical story of Lost Roman legion .
Divided into several scenes {operating room} {torture room} {gunpowder factory} {court} {trial site} etc.
Very very worthwhile to experience because this experience of coconuts decided to experience London Dungeon

It was really beautiful here, watching the boat slowly over the river with a nice afternoon tea.
The first time you saw the Vespa plaque in Britain
The white card locomotive is really rarer than the sports car heavy machine.

Must visit attractions! York Minster
Completed in 1408, it is the largest medieval stained glass in the world. The most famous is the Five Sisters Window, and the south can be seen as a rose window, called the eye of a Gothic building .

It was really good due to the actors embracing the stories very well, but what let this experience down was the room sizes / crowd size , either make the rooms bigger or the crowd smaller

WOW.....

WOW.....

When first looked at going to the dungeon we expected a lot animatronics and displays but to our surprise it was all human. Not once during our visit did any of the actors drop character.

I would highly recommend and would suggest booking on line or getting there early. Overall you are in there for about 90 minutes of non stop entertainment.

Some younger children may find some of it quite scary as it's quite immersive.

Very good, sometimes funny rather than scary, sometimes really quite scary. The last "room" in particular is very noisy and might affect some people with photosensitive epilepsy. There was a warning about the PE, as well as warnings to help people who are preganant, or potentially unsuitable for those with bad legs and backs. However, i would really have appreciated a warning about the noise in the last room. Between the flashing lights and loud noise, it was almost intolerable. I'd take ear plugs if I went back.
