Didn't have to wait too long to get in and we thought it was good but not sure if I had paid as I would have thought it was expensive

Amazing actors, better than in London. With London's rooms and York's actors we would have a perfect dungeon. One more thing, since we're living in a crazy world, perform a security check before going in. It's for the visitors' confort.

Never been to York before. Such a beautiful city and lots to do. The York dungeon was really good fun. The staff were fantastic

It was scary but great entertainment. The actors were fantastic, staff were great, for a price you can by personal photos, or not. Finishing off, with a small shop and bar. Not suitable for the faint hearted, I am a 70+ young at heart lady, whole thoroughly enjoyed the whole show, and yes, I did stop for a light refreshment. An attraction in York not to be missed.

A great place to visit to be scared. It's an interesting way of learning about history while being thoroughly entertained.

Loved this attraction just the right length of tour. All the actors were amazing and got you in the spirit of the day.

Itey where very niec and funny people and cared a lot about the health and safty regulations and olways asked if you had any back problems or wher pregnant which was important.

It was a great finish to my day. The staff so nice but saying that not all of them if you know what I mean LOL. Would recommend it so funny so do it dare you.

Exhibits really good this year, especially the witch. Scary!

It's not better than the tower of London experience

Wow. Fantastic experience. Not to be missed. Great acting, story telling and value for money. Not to be missed.

Many people queued for a while outside only to find out that there was no space inside and that they had to come back later. The attraction itself was fun and the actors were funny and convincing. Probably best to pre-book and be careful not to get picked out!

Brilliant place to visit I would highly recommend, the whole experience is fantastic....... Worth every penny and not overpriced at all, we had such a laugh.

The York Dungeon was a great experience....much more to it than we thought there would be. The actors were brilliant....funny but also sinister!

Great fun, laughed and squealed for over an hour. Photographs overpriced though. A must do for locals and tourists alike!

The Dungeon is Great. For foreigners like me very entertaining even tho the slang was a bit hard for me in the beginning. But overall something you should experience.

Rubbish and too expensive. Not what its cracked up to be. .save ya money and walk straight past. Had a better time seeing different churches and alot cheaper

Spooky place to go ghost hunting even with all the noise pollution. Eventful night especially in the viking area and the bar area

The venue and staff make this attraction! Making history fun with audience participation. Really enjoyed our visit and would recommend.

Great actors, but depending on the language level, sometimes it is difficult to follow the stories.
It was a great, sometimes fun experience, but you have to say that the dungeon stories from different cities are similar, so much and the whole principle is interchangeable ... however, each city has its own original stories!
Value for money is okay.

Certainly a jolly way to spend some time, could perhaps be a little more 'torturey' (in a general sense) it plays out as an interactive stage-show of sorts, with a few well timed jump scares to keep you on your toes. Easy to find just at the edge of town and right on a bus route too. No on-site parking but plenty nearby.

Not as good as London. Don't go if you come from the south

It was a great experience, funny, scary and educational.

Superb experience. Actors were all great playing their parts and telling woeful gory details of our, not so nice, past history. Very well made up dungeon, with twists and turns to each room. Grisly sights and sounds keeping your senses heightened to what may come. Participation is very much needed to make the experience work to it's best. We took the the adults only experience as its a lot more scary. Highly recommend you go, unless you have a weak heart that is........

Excellent place. Fun way to spend an hour or so, but look for discount vouchers!

This is a must do if you are visiting york, was well worth the wait, do book I'm in advance to save the lengthy cue, this is for all ages and I will be returning in the future was a fantastic time.

Found this the best thing we did on our four day trip to York. We have been to York a few times but never visited the dungeons . The actors put a lot of effort in and the effects are great . Even better if you don t get picked out , to Become part of the show . The only down side is that queuing system can be a bit Confusing pre book is always the best option.

The little brother to the London dungeon and it s noticeable. If this is your first Merlin dungeon you will love it and it ll get better as you go to new ones. The issue is going to this one last as it is definitely not as good as London and Berlin s.

In a good central location and easy to find great little gift shop and not as outlandishly priced as usual attractions are.

The actors are great, and free entry for locals on residents weekend makes the deal even sweeter.

Was fun. As a foreigner crap you but the English really be powerful and also understand dialects, otherwise you really do not have much. It's not that scary, but the actors do a good job! Respect! We had four favored entry, if we were in York Castle before, that was only 22 pound for us.

Really great place to visit on a trip to york. Lasts around 75 minutes theres jumps and scares to be had and a lot of fun .

Great place. Offers food and drink from a small shop at the entrance, caters for disabled and even has a bar at the end followed by a gift shop. Defo worth it.

Not as scary as it used to be as you can't progress through the dungeons at your own pace. Still very enjoyable and a great attraction for a good day out in York.

If you go to York then the Dungeon is a must. Book online to avoid the queue and you usually get in a bit cheaper. The actors around the place were fantastic and interact with visitors. We will definitely do it again.
