Ok, lets get this straight, im 76 yrs old. I liked this palce becuase it was lik a better graveyard. it was much more interactive than my local graveyard. My great great great grandma was berried here under the graves and i dislik it. Also the bodies shouldve ben edible because i was verray hungry when i got her from africa on my way to imigrate to canaada and i wanted food so i ate sum bodies and then i got food poisining, so i turned around to David (My friend) and asked him for a salt and vinegar rice cake to clear my sytem, but when i opened my mouth i just puked all over his lap so then for the rest of the day he had a large stain on his paints and it was anoying me so i licked it off and then i got food poisining again so i puked in the airport and the security guard touched my stuff with his boogerish gloves and left another stain.

A real highlight of our trip and something that our family will long remember. Scary enough to put adults on edge but not so scary as to give our eleven year old nightmares, the whole production was incredibly polished. Well done!

Absolutely loved this, wasnt sure what to expect or whether it just for the kids but the adults can enjoy too. The actors do a great job and it's a lot of fun as they really get into their role explaining the history of York. Recommended.

Comparable to the experience that you get at the London Dungeon. There's a few areas that are the same. This Dungeon focuses more on the viking background if I recall correctly, although it just means two different areas than the London Dungeon. My daughter was anxious both times however some of the other kids didn't have a problem. So be cautious if you have any kids that are more squeamish. If you've never been to the London Dungeon, note that there are some light waterworks, tight spaces, dark areas, and forced volunteer opportunities.

The tour is great fun - you won't be grabbed or chased by anyone within the dungeon, so don't be overly nervous.

The actors at each stage are accent and word perfect whilst confidently interacting with everyone in the group. You effortlessly learn a little of the history of York whilst smiling.

It is well worth the money - I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed.

Great place to visit, York Dungeons proved to be a good choice of things to do in York. York Dungeons cater for all ages but maybe not for very young children who might be easily scared, it might be a bit too much for most kids under 8.
I would describe the place as: educational, funny and entertaining.
The actors who tell the stories really make the experience enjoyable and provide endless amounts of 'jump factor'. The tour lasts around an hour and 15 mins. The tickets were priced reasonably although I could imagine it getting quite expensive for larger groups.
Overall, a great place to visit when in York.
