Very Expensive for what it is. I was recommended to visit and whilst the decor is interesting and quirky they had no room in the restaurant and wouldn't serve food in the bar. Won't be going back.

This is a lovely traditional pub popular with locals and tourists alike. It is decorated in a traditional old fashioned way with an eclectic style.
The first room is a traditional pub/bar area with flat capped locals and their hounds. The other rooms are more of a restaurant area.
Both the beer and food are good.

The food here is amazing. I had lunch with a friend and had the curried scallops to start, with a beautiful partridge dish for a main. Great value, and if you're a foodie, you'll love it!

Always the best, most cosy pub in Winchester. Fantastic food, decor and service, but also lovely for just a drink - you feel just as welcome if you're only spending a few quid. Beautiful at Christmas.

Great place and very central but our room was incredibly small for the price, and we were staying a week. Not even big enough for a wardrobe, just a couple (4 for 2 people) of hangers on a pole. We were given 2 more on request. However the food was excellent and the bar was great.

Went for a meal with work colleagues, paid for by the company.

Decor is ye olde English pub to the max. If you like tankards and paintings of horses, you'll be well in.

Service was reasonable, food was fine.

But nothing made me think I need to come back here any time soon given the number of great options locally.

The Wykeham Arms is reliably excellent - great range of beers and wines, food is varied and plentiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We watched a number of the Six nations games there last year so no need to travel to Twickenham again!

We wish we could award more stars. We pre booked a table for Sunday lunch whilst enroute to Dorset with our pair of Cocker Spaniels. Firstly the greeting a from the staff was so welcoming we and our dogs were made to feel very special. Then when our food was served we were taken aback by how good it was. We have dined at lots of lovely establishments in the past some very expensive but we feel you would struggle to find better prepared and cooked food then here. A truly special time spent with lovely friendly staff and superb food. We will be finding an excuse to return to Winchester just so we can call again.

Staff were very relaxed, friendly and helpful. The food was great and despite warnings of having to wait was actually very prompt. I personally would have liked a wider selection of local craft beers but liked what was available.

Brilliant pub in Winchester.

Brilliant pub in Winchester.
I had the venison special. Sunday lunch menu was spot on.
And a donation to the cathedral. No problem.

We visited on a busy Friday night but the staff were friendly and served us quickly. As in most Fuller's pubs the seating areas are attractive inside and outside and the drinks very well kept. Let's hope the new owners of Fuller's keep up the same standards.

The pub is dog friendly. I give this five stars as we had the best pints of my favourite beer here that I can remember. Also the bowl of pork scratchings were particularly good.

Loved my stay here. The staff was excellent. The meals I had (1 dinner and 2 breakfasts) were excellent and the location in Winchester is perfect. I had a "single" room and it's seriously just a single room. Everything in the room was immaculate and the attention to detail on all the finishings was unusually good!

Great, historically interesting, pub, restaurant, hotel. Not cheap, but hey...this is probably the nicest and quirkiest venue in the whole city? You can spend an age just looking at the ornaments and artefacts. Can get super busy and at these times, service can be painfully slow. Thus only 4*. No dedicated parking and the location doesn't help with this problem.

An old pub situated next to Winchester college, still using original buildings. Open fires and wood panelling make for a cosy atmosphere in the bar and a charming dining area. The private function room upstairs is perfect for dinner parties. Great selection of drinks and a superb menu to back it up

Good pub! But gets very very busy at peak times. Excellent selection of beer on tap. Staff are friendly as are the clientele as far as I could tell. Food is available, but book a table and expect restaurant quality AND prices.
