The Working Center specializes in helping people find employment. They assist in so many and varried ways, it would be huge list if I were to write them all down here. I will say this Kitchener is blessed to have this organization in it's community.

Really a gem if you need help. These people are dedicated to helping those with less money, housing, resources, etc. Available computers to do job searching. Many available programs to choose from. Support groups, employment programs. They operate a program with Grand River transit that gives those with less the ability to get a reduced fair bus pass. There is a wait list though. If you need help, just ask. They are patient are carrying people. It's always moderately busy.

The Working Centre is an inclusive, community-building nonprofit organization in Kitchener. It's an excellent place to work and volunteer with its focus squarely on improving the lives of its neighbours every day in hundreds of ways.

The working centre provides a great support for individuals looking for job. From resume support, public access computers, career counselling, job postings and many more. Really admiring what they are doing all this years. They also offer many other supports around downtown Kitchener. They also offer a really welcoming atmosphere for people who want to volunteer their time here.

This organisation provides a really important service to our community and I believe they are one of the best parts of Kitchener. My interactions with the Working Center are through the Waterloo Region Drupal Users Group which is hosted there once a month and I can say that the staff are always helpful and patient with us and anyone else that comes through their doors. I know several people that have been helped through periods of unemployment by the Working Center.

The Working Center is an integral part of Kitchener. It has countless projects that help people in the region. Every project is well managed, accessible and helpful. You can be sure you will find help and resources if you're need of it

This is home to the BEST resource locations for public information or needs. Practically ANYTHING you need, you can ask this place! Definitely worth checking out - even if just browsing online. It offers a LOT more than people may think. If they don't offer it themselves or have a partner that does, they can direct you to whom may be able to help.
The main building is called "The Working Centre", and is known as an employment resource with a job board, computers and fax that the public can use, they offer taxes services and other learning opportunities, and have great friendly staff too.
The first time I looked at their site, it was overwhelming with information of all the services they offer. They are no longer just one building either, as they are spread across downtown with a few buildings. One being the Queen Street Commons Cafe across the street (great for vegan/ vegetarian food), and another being the building that hosts Recycle Cycles (where anyone can come and learn how to build/ fix a bicycle), and The Green Door (very cheap thrift store for clothes, accessories, footwear, and even some home made products! They also have various classes they offer, and I also run a community craft club here every Friday). I took a couple of free courses within the region, and one was in collaboration with this place for learning the course materials.

Amazing staff I go here a lot to print out stuff because no one has a printer anymore. I'm not the greatest at speaking to people and they helped me get a apartment, called around and everything for me.

I was told to show up for 9am for resume help but he never mentioned that one of the days nobody is there until 10. I was the first person there at 830 and had to wait until 1015 almost 1020.

Also the person that did my resume made me feel that she was rushing. People who are helping with resumes should have knowledge about important information with each main working sector.

Plus this lady made multiple mistakes on my resume; formatting and spelling. She didnt save it to my drive like she said she was going to so i had to rewrite it all out.

I wont be using this service again and be sure to check your resume before using it.
