I loved it!!! It was my first time going to a zoo so I was a little confused at first but I was happy to see all those animals I never seen before. Although it does sadden me to just see them being kept behind fences and glass windows...

I am not a huge fan of zoos because many of them seem to care more about profits than animal welfare. I can say with complete honesty that I am pleased with this zoo. The animals seem to be well cared for. Their enclosures are sizable and safe, for both animal and viewer. We also enjoyed feeding the small birds. This park took us about 4 hours to get through. I would go to this park again.

Many of the animals, and all I door exhibits are closed, no more elephants and the whole children's section of the zoo that had a lot of other animals is completely closed which is almost a quarter of the zoo.

The giraffes crossed right in front of us. My son was amazed, but I think I had more fun. Went in around noon, and the animals were all awake. Very well kept grounds, interesting exhibits, and big space to have a picnic. Take public transit if you can to avoid parking. We parked at Aurora Square then took the Metro.

We've been members for years and I used to volunteer here. This is a top notch zoo, I appreciate all of the care and attention to detail in the experience of visitors as well as the animals housed here. I also love the work they do in conservation and education. Beautiful, well kept, and lots of fun things for kids of all ages as well as adults.

Went with my brother and his family. Love that the paths loop around so you do sections at a time. We got there late so we didn't have time to do the whole zoo and most of the exhibit encounters were over. I didn't like that so much of the special encounters cost so much extra however in all fairness they need to feed the animals

Quite a few of the animals were hidden likely due to the cool weather, the oranotans were walking around with burlap blankets over there heads. I think the staff should spend more time cleaning the glass of the enclosures for better viewing. The highlight was the brown bear!

We came here for the Zoo Lights and a Company Holiday. The lights were absolutely gorgeous! While we came on the weekend it was quite busy as expected. My only feedback would be with the communication between the event staff and the ticketing office at the front. We were trying to get into the Zoo for our party before the gates opened to the general public. No one at the front had the authority to allow us into the Zoo to ensure that our event was all set up and ready to go. After 20 minutes of waiting the staff was able to get ahold of the event coordinator who was able to let us in. They were apologetic about the misunderstanding. Overall out party turned out great, regardless of the stressors at the beginning of the evening.

This is one of the better views in the country. The exhibits are nice and the selection of animals is very nice.

It's got a nice layout, so you can see most everything without too much confusion. They've also got a good selection of presentations and shows throughout the day. This is great for getting information and education on different animals.

The staff seemed very helpful and willing to explain things, even when they were in the middle of other jobs. It feels like there's a genuine care for the animals and environment at the zoo.

Wildlights...it's alright. Definitely wouldn't have been worth it if we paid full price. Go during promotions (tonight we got in 1/2 price per person). That made it worth it. Know that you won't see animals other than a few (komodo dragons & flying foxes).

This Zoo was awesome. Parking on a holiday weekend was tough to come by but I still managed to park my truck close to the entrance. Just took a little patience. That is to be expected in Seattle I think. The kids had a ton of fun and there are plenty of places to rest, eat and take a break.

It feels like you're walking through a forest when walking between exhibits. Loved that the enclosures were made to look more like their natural habitat and not just a cage for the animals. Love the different areas and there is a part where you can rest and have a picnic under a canopy of trees.

Truly a remarkable and delightful zoo filled with very thoughtful exhibits that make it feel real, fantastic horticulture and the sense of being shrouded away from the city and transported to various realms. It's easy to see they go the extra mile to care for their animals and to educate kids. I actually come out of the zoo quite calmed, as if I'd walked through the woods. That's a trip to the zoo AND therapy for the price of the zoo ;)! We LOVE it. Check out the large aviary - so humid and full of friendly colorful birds, it just feels quiet and amazing. After years of being a member and going many times a year, I think I am finally done finding new places there - but still taking family who visit and still going for even just and hour. A magical place.

This zoo has a lot to offer in such a small area, which means one can see a lot without dedicating 12 hours(like the San Diego Zoo). The staff has always been very knowledgeable and friendly! There are many open aviaries to walk through and things to do for all ages! Be prepared for premium priced food and such, but it goes to the zoo upkeep.

Plan for a lot of time! We planned for 3 hours and only saw four parts of the zoo. It is enormous. The animals are extremely well taken care of and the exhibits are well thought out. It is on par with the San Diego Zoo and the National Zoo, in my opinion.

Can't wait for summer hours! There's way more to this zoo than I think every time I go. They've managed to fit so much into a relatively small space that it's almost a marvel in its own right. Glad to be helping support their conservation efforts by attending.

I love the Zoo! And seeing all the Animals however there needs to be more beverage carts or vending machines or something especially with elderly and sick people walking around. Very few around.

Fantastic park with a good variety of species. Plenty of privacy is offered to the animals, so don't expect to be able to see all of them anytime of the day. It might not be a bad idea to look online as to what times of the day specific species may be more active. Feeding time is a good time I'd you're looking for activity, but afterwards who doesn't want a nap? Parking lots on multiple sides of the park, several gift shops and food carts too.

I love this zoo. It was a beautiful day and most of the animals were out sunbathing. The only thing I really don't like is the amount of people with strollers that stand in everyone's way and clog up all the walkways and animal viewing areas. Signs clearly say park strollers here, but no one does.

The zoo is so pretty. It's nice to just walk through. Beautiful plants everywhere, awesome animal exhibits, cute carousel. We like to pack a picnic and eat in the big grass field near the carousel. We also get the season pass so we can go whenever and not feel rushed to see everything in one day.

Pretty cool zoo. So huge. I only saw 2 exhibits before I began to tire. As a single person that likes quiet time to contemplate the complexity and diversity of life, all the parents and children took a bit out of me. The areas in which you are able to walk inside the enclosures with free roaming birds is especially interesting.

Its hard to judge the Zoo right now during the Pandemic. Having 5 kids, I appreciated them making it happen to open so we could get out and do something with our children! A partial experience is much better than being stuck at home.

Such a wonderful zoo! They are doing amazing things for their animals, who all seem to be happy and healthy, and animal conservation in general. I spent about 3-4 hours there and enjoyed every minute.

As far as zoo experiences go it's fantastic. There are a lot of workers and volunteers that can help you, so many cool animals with large enclosures and the park is very easy to navigate. Great place for the kids. However, the food is expensive and akin to that of a carnival. The best time to go is during mid week. And bring a water bottle, they have plenty of stations where you can fill them up.

This is the best zoo I have visited! Great experience)
They have many exhibits, all cages nicely maintained and cleaned. Animals look happy and healthy. My favorites are giraffes also I enjoyed program with rhino - very interesting info from the zookeeper.
The zoo has big territory, lots of benches and resting points. Children will enjoy as well.
Parking lots are big enough for many visitors.

My 6 year old loves the zoo. We got a membership recently because we live nearby, and it is delightful to be able to go for a few hours, playing first at the zoomazium, and then exploring a few exhibits. We have yet to discover the whole zoo, and it feels new and fresh every time.

It's clean, street parking is available if you're willing to walk a little bit (abundant paid parking is also available) and the animals are fascinating and clearly well cared for.

Very nice zoo with a wide array on animals. I've been to a zoo where I was so close! The facilities are clean and spacious and the animals all seem happy and healthy. Due to Covid, they've closed off some paths and viewing areas. Many of the adjustments made sense, but a few spots seemed to be roped off unnecessarily. Even so, it was a lovely visit to a beautiful zoo.

I love this place. The habitats have had a lot of effort put into them, the amenity areas make it appealing as an amusement park for the kiddos, and the animals are varied and an absolute delight. We just got a membership so that we can visit several more times this summer.

I think of the animals here as ambassadors of their species to keep our generation aware of what conservationists are trying to protect and why we should support their efforts.

The paths between exhibits are even a joy to walk with gorgeous greenery.

I love this place.

I m sure they are compiling to state mandates, however the visit is still full price and I would venture to say about 10% of the experience is available. Not worth the visit until reopened after pandemic restrictions. Sad because we visit every year and we will continue to do so.

My grandchildren had never been to a zoo before so this was the highlight of the trip I believe. Most of the animals were out and they really got to see all of them and enjoy themselves the only thing that could have been better is not have had the band playing out in the grass area so that the animals would have come out. We were unable to see the wolves.

I have seen this place evolve over almost 40 years and feel that it keeps getting better. We still buy a seasons pass each year and go fairly often since it is much more like a very nice park than a standard zoo. Very easy to forget you are in the middle of Seattle.

Really great place to take kids. Many animals, in their natural habitat. Kids enjoyed it. Zoo was a lot larger than we thought. Takes full day to see all. Food and drinks, were very expensive. Collector cup, was great souvenir.
Our granddaughter, fell and cut her knee. The attendants in first-aid, were very caring, and treated her, with compassion. They were great!
Gifts in goftshops, were pricey.

Wonderful zoo. Lots to see and do. If you come early you might need to revisit areas to see the animals because they might not be out yet when you go. The zoo is laid out in groupings so you can see animals of different areas of the world. Food is a little pricey but good.

Had a ton of fun at the zoo with my lady friend. What was the best part you ask? Maybe the gorilla, and the fan girl who told us everything there is to know about gorillas. Oh, she doesn't work there, but I'd be surprised if you don't see her on your visit.

Wonderful zoo park in Seattle. Lush vegetation gives a jungle feel. Wide variety of animals given its relatively small size and large areas for each animal group. Helpful staff. You could cover most of it in 3 to 4 hours. Food and pay-for parking available.

This ranks as one of the nicest zoos I have visited.

With its commitment to conservation and education, the Woodland Park Zoo offers visitors a unique opportunity to learn about wildlife while enjoying a fun day out.

- The Tropical Rain Forest exhibit: This immersive exhibit takes you deep into a lush rainforest environment filled with exotic birds, monkeys, sloths and more.
- Zoomazium: Designed especially for kids aged 8 years old or younger this indoor play space encourages children’s curiosity through imaginative play.
- Northern Trail: Here you will find grizzly bears playing together or swimming in their pool; river otters frolicking; snowy owls perched on branches; Steller’s sea eagles soaring overhead; harbor seals sunning themselves on rocks.
- African Savanna: A large open area where giraffes roam free alongside zebras & ostriches

Overall if you're looking for an unforgettable day out that combines fun with education then look no further than Seattle's own Woodland Park Zoo!
