Dog friendly! Free dog treats, cold water.

Nice selection of beers and ales, including local independents Brixton Brewery, Beaver Town, Camden Hells etc, also bigger brands like Guiness, Heineken, Peroni, Orchard Thieves etc.

Food, although haven t had any personally, always looks delicious when it go a past. Vegan food and deserts on the menu :)

Range of indoor and outdoor seating options, big high tables with bar stools, small sofas, tables, picnic tables under umbrellas. The place is large and thus offers an environment for a range of activities; catching up with many friends, having a quiet drink with your dog, working from home on your laptop making use of the free WiFi etc.

The windmill is a lovely traditional cosy pub with a hotel, it has more than enough space and plenty of seating without taking away from the atmosphere. They serve traditional English homemade food as well! Definitely one of the best pubs in Clapham

Really nice pub, child and dog friendly, good selection of drinks and great coffee. Good for a meetup with friends (we just hung around the bar area) bar food and restaurant food very good.

We've been hassled by a security guy regarding mask-wearing policies until the point that we had enough, and left. (By then we had already been waiting for our orders for 25 minutes.) To me it looked like he's been picking on me from the very first moment for some reason.

I got a couple of beers there to take out on to the common. It's a nice pub, I've been there several times over the years. My main complaint is that it has a tiny bar that is frequently swamped by sports teams all trying to buy drinks at once. For my second drink it was easier and quicker to go to the off licence across the road.

I basically came here to see Max, but in addition to this wonderful creature roaming around - the service was quick, the pub was clean, and everything ran smoothly with the app. We ordered the curly fries with green chili pork TWICE in one sitting because it was so good! Will definitely be returning.

Love the Windmill. There are plenty of great spaces both indoors and outdoors. The pub is also very dog friendly. Their food menu is tasty and they have a great selection of beers to enjoy.

Been often for drinks and occasionally dinner. A well situated pub with plenty of space in the restaurant, bar and outside areas. Immediately situated on Clapham Common, so very good for a post sports-day drink. Food is of a good standard (and there's a Young's Burger Shack outside) and bar is well stocked with a variety of decent drinks. Dog friendly, so often see pups in and outside. Also has a function room for party events. Is in Clapham so can have a Clapham crowd. Overall a decent pub!

My very picky mother was happy with the reservation here. It's an old building, so the aesthetic is cosy and gently lit, rather than cuttting-edge modern. That extends to some of the fittings - in the room there was an old-style British fitting for the light which flickered if it was touched. But given that it's a traditional setting in a green space in busy London, with a fantastic pub attached that is even better in the sunshine, it's a good choice for a stay.

It is a very busy pub with a nice beer garden. Drinks are pricey for the area. Staff are not very friendly, they had the heating up full blast on a packed 6 nations day and I was actually sweating! It was clearly to get people to buy more drinks. Asked staff to turn down heating as did several other people and one responded its not even on, i was like ot clearly is and then she said well we cant turn it off. Apparently staff have no control over heating!! Food was over priced and average at best. 9 pounds for 3 halloumi and a plate full of green leaves.

Bad management/ security staff. Very disappointed as I have been banned from the venue because the security tried to punch me. I complained to the general manager and I had a very disappointing response

Dear Jaser

I m obviously not going to get in a debate with you regarding my decision via email as it s not going to benefit either of us, should you wish to escalate your complaint you can reach my Operations Manager via email at ----------@youngs.co.uk

Nice boozer, the younger looking northern bloke who seemed to be a supervisor was extremely helpful and efficient, knew what he was doing behind the bar as well. Makes a nice change to have a barman like that

Good drinking pub but the food ain't great. Standard pub grub done fairly poorly, my buttermilk fried chicken burger was not buttermilk fried in any recognisable way and was dramatically overcooked. I think my Trip Advisor app put it perfectly about an hour after sitting down for lunch here - "The Windmill is NEAR some great places to eat"...... unfortunately, it just isn't one of them!

Great hotel and wonderful pub!

Great hotel and wonderful pub!
I put my parents here when they visited me.
Due to the quiet location in the middle of Clapham Common, you don't have the feeling of being in London. Great oasis in the big city.
The pub is wonderful too, lovely staff and a cute pub dog to pet;) Breakfast is great too!

The venue is amazing - cosy vintage sofas for drinks and a gorgeous dinning hall. Make sure you stop by to say Hi and give a treat to the cutest Pub Pup ever! (You get a treat from the bar and all donations forthat go to an animal shelter they support!) Great and friendly service!

Really spacious and interesting architecture. The inside feels old but modern at the same time. Has a restaurant area that looked nice. It was a warm evening so we drank outside. Crowd seemed friendly. Bouncers seemed chilled which is always nice. Bar staff were really friendly too. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

The place looks really nice, it's a very majestic building and I liked the fact that they have different sections if you want a more quiet area. Now, the food was OK, but for the prices it was not a good value for money. I'm a big gastropubs fan and your meals have similar pricing, but oh boy, it charged me cental London prices. So, be aware of this. Also the waitress, was very dismissive and you can feel she couldn't care less. She said she had to do the drinks as well, so maybe she was covering someone else's duty, but as a customer you can understand that's not my fault and should have received that kind of attitude.

Great location, nicely presented. Unfortunately the service and food is very average at best (not what you'd expect for the price also). Been at least ten times and there's almost always an issue. The owner needs to train the weekend staff. Ordered two coffees, took them almost 30min! Not the first time also. Up your game could be so much better.

You'll inevitably end up here after football on the common. A huge pub, right within the bounds of the park, with a reasonable range of chain beers and so-so pub food. Not much reason to come from further afield, though.

London classic! If you are looking for the English roots here they are, classic design, typical pub, boys and girls providing more power without being bothered with the context of the hotel. A place to come back!
