Lovely food offered as part of their Christmas meal and great service.
Lovely food offered as part of their Christmas meal and great service.
Went for a roast. Solid Clapham option. Gets busy so do book ahead.
Nice place very good rooms , restaurant and pub is very spacious.
No room service though and kitchen closes at 10pm which we did not know until we decided to order
Good pub, good service and good beer. But do download the Youngs App to order your drinks before you arrive as its a total flaff to do when you're there.
I ordered a lemonade and lime. it was the best lemonade I've had for such a long time!
Great place to chill, have a drink and dinner! Lovely place to stay! My mum and dad stay there when come to see me. They love it
Did Prince Charles and Queen Mother pull Youngs pints here once? Because that is awesome
Huge pub now following the extension to the outdoor area. Ideal place for grabbing a beer while visiting Clapham Common.
Dog friendly. Alot of cute dogs.
If that hasn't already sold you, the beer and the venue is great aswell!
14 quid for a burger that was no better than what I've had at Sunday league football burger vans. In fact they were better. They knew what they were and came with no pretensions. And didn't cost 14 quid! Hardly any chips and my fat mate are three of them. If you're gonna have ideas above your station and offer 14 quid burgers... Deliver! Nothing special about the gaff and you can't get a pint for a fiver. Disgusted, disappointed and remembering the days when service for a smile was a given in this beautiful country of ours. Shame, shame, shame on this pub, and shame on the liberal elite that have driven us to this most dire of circumstances. I fear for the great British boozer in these circumstances. God save the queen. I am unhappy as a person, and needed a nice afternoon away from my unemployed money grabbing children and unfaithful shrew of a wife and this has ruined all of those aspirations. A damning inditement of new labour policies and the current climate. No doubt I will be censored for sharing my opinion in this world of 'human rights' and 'free expressionism' God save the Queen.
Was there for my birthday drinks. Had a great night staff very friendly
Very well curated indoors. Parking lot outside. Had a guest IPA, was great, although it's (as expected) a bit on the pricey side.
A beautiful setting, family and pet friendly venue.
I have been many times but never eaten there, bar is fine...food not so much.
Although friends were over from abroad and they wanted a traditional roast. Roast beef was so very poor, tough, fat on the edges (the yummy stuff) was just rock hard and rubbery.
Food was barely warm and the flavours were just really very bland.
So hugely disappointed and not cheap!
Beautiful outdoor area and friendly staff. They do a pretty good roast as well
Lovely pub in the middle of Clapham common nice beer garden in the summer
One of the best pubs I've been to. It's huge. It's cosy. It's lovely. It has a dining room with a sunroof. The food is nice and they have my favorite. Guinness. You can bring your dog inside which is nice. You can sit outside. There is a playground for kids in the back which is great for families. Service is also excellent. Really enjoyed it here. Highly recommend.
We were , from the moment of arrival, treated to a personal and helpful service from a staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. We were part of a wedding party, and everyone involved made sure that we were comfortable and able to enjoy the wedding preparations.
The facilities provided were first class. It was a real bonus to have on-site parking, the public rooms were pleasant, the food excellent and - as mentioned above - the service was excellent.
Lovely pub, serving great food, especially the Sunday roasts and they also have a great selection of beers. Also they are dog friendly.
Extremely stunning room. Loved the decor. Comfy bed. Sky TV and free wi-fi. Location includes a lively bar and if that's not your thing thankfully you can't hear anything from the rooms.
Good food, Youngs beer and an interesting structure architecturally
Poorly organised and all staff have poor attitude as if they dont need your custom. Avoid.
Five of us went for dinner, this was a social catch up with friends who had been working abroad. We all ordered mains and drinks. The team were really kind and patient when a couple of people were late. We did get slightly hurried at the More
A good pub on the common that is brilliant in the summer months for a drink. Food is decent, though the staff seemed pretty disorganised and it took a while for our food to arrive plus a couple of items didn't make it to the table. Also being given a squishy plastic cup whilst drinking inside is a bit of a no no in my book. But all in all this place is worth a visit when the sun is shining and they would get an extra star if the service was a little snappier and the staff a bit more attentive to diners' needs.
Sat out in the front garden drinking Pims with a group of friends. Had some food. All together a very enjoyable afternoon. Good food and a nice child atmosphere.
Amazing place, the dog loves cuddles and live band was great!! Definitely recommend it to everyone
Excellent room!! I was in only for a night but thoroughly enjoyed the stay...comfy bed and clean facilities. They even provided toiletries on request!! Breakfast was decent..
The live band, 'Coot', were bloody brilliant! Friendly owner and gorgeous dog, Max, too!
Great atmosphere, bit pricier than some but you get what you pay for
Have just returned from 3 day easter break in The Windmill Clapham.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, and the double room we occupied was extremely clean comfortable and very modern,we also had a view over the common. WELL DONE!!!!!
We will not hesitate to recommend the hotel to family and friends, and will most certainly return ourselves .
from two very happy guests from Belfast
Very friendly staff and beautiful place for all the peoples!
Service very poor. Given a damp table outside with no heaters in December. Waitress didn t care and said it was our fault.
Very nice pub and hotel. Nice service and time well spent
My new favorite pub in London! Even if it's a bit out of the way, it's worth it! Great if you visit the Common next door!
Great place to relax and have a good time with some friends/family. Very nice food and friendly staff
I only use this place for a quick drink and business meetings, but it s a lovely place to sit and relax, quiet as well.
After one or two wonderful Christmas drinks -I was assaulted with unreasonable
force by the bouncer Larry here - I am a
5ft4 girl and the bouncer was a HUGE guy of 14 stone and double my height. The bouncer sees red and uses force and aggression. The manager Daniel watched it happen and did not do anything about it.
As a local I would not recommend this pub as lovely as it s surroudings are as it s not ok to treat people in this way.
No character whatsoever. Just a big building, painted to look like one of the smaller, trendier pubs in the area. And really bright lights to highlight the bad decor. Go somewhere else, seriously.
(nothing wrong with the staff or drinks, to be fair, just... Nothing right with the place)
It's good service and good atmosphere but they need more tables
Lovely, cosy, warming.... In general a good place to enjoy a beer or a glass of wine in the middle of the park
Great stay. Near the underground. Lovely breakfast. The complimentary brownies are 5*. Evening meal in the pub was really nice. We will be back.
Right by the Clapham Common park, with available parking and nice seating area outside, ideal for sunny days.
The service quite slow and sloppy, we had to ask for drinks several times before getting them and our food arrived with no cutlery and got a bit cold by the time we managed to find some.
The food wasn't great either, I tried 6 different dishes from my friends, including Sunday roast which was just tasteless and the only main worth trying, in my opinion, is the butternut squash with oyster mushrooms and pomodoro sauce.
Fantastic hotel, rooms clean, comfy and amazing. Food was fantastic i had one of the best pies iv ever eaten. Breakfast was fantastic too
Nice pub with an outdoor area, good when it's sunny as it's next to the park! The burgers were good but not the best I've had. Overall a good atmosphere :)
Really nice pub on Clapham Common, very warm and homely feeling. They also welcome dogs too which is great :)
Cool beer garden out the front to enjoy the 3 days of summer. Good choice of beers and not too pricey
Such a great place to grab a drink, after a lovely walk around Clapham Common
Extremely poor - I came to the Windmill as I urgently needed to use the restroom. I am 6 months pregnant, and the weather was 37 degrees. I approached the entrance to be stopped by security who told me I cannot enter the pub. When I informed him of being pregnant he told me that legally I can be anywhere, and motioned to the outdoor space. He then repeatedly insisted that I pee outside somewhere in the park. When I asked to speak to manager he refused. I was told I needed to be a customer to use the facilities, so I offered to buy something repeatedly and again was denied. A paying customer came outside to intervene and politely ask him to let me inside and he again, denied me entrance. When this customer asked to speak to the manager the security guard refused. After a lot of going back and forth for around 5 minutes one of the workers took all my details, said I could go inside but it was illegal due to new health requirements. I just want to add at this establishment there was ZERO form of social distancing, there was NO MASKS being worn by both staff and customers AND it was overcrowded outside. I have never experienced such hostility and just lack of human decency in my life. I m genuinely disgusted and disappointed by this experience.
Great experience a little overcrowded which is always a good sign and great drinks service
I love the atmosphere there and specially how gorgeous the conservatory room looks like
Expensive drinks but I enjoyed them and also had an enjoyable dinner
Just had drinks and dinner here. Barman was excellent and food similarly great. A few places to sit and chat away from the bar. Restaurant is on the smaller side, but plenty of tables for groups, very airy. Rainy while I was there, but once the weather warms nice looking out-doors area.
This is the most wonderful hotel. Charming quirky comfortable with great bar and restaurant.
It's quite a find and I fully recommend this.
I travel a great deal and finds like this are very rare.
If you are in london consider staying here
Great bar on the edge of the Common, always a good buzz
Nice place for quiet drinks on a Friday night, good selection of drinks and friendly bar staff
Good position by the common. Seriously tasty burgers

It a really nice place but unfortunately a bit overpriced. Also a try sit in one of the couch but it is so old that feels like a sit in a hole.
Great pub. Can take a while to get served at busy times, but good beer, food and location.
Really nice food but shocking bar staff. When giving my change I was given an old pound coin. Politely asked for a new one given the old ones arent valid for much longer and barlady told me I could change them in my bank because she wasn't going to open the till up 'just for me'. Then asked for a glass (because I figure that's not an unreasonable request) and was told they don't have any. Shrug of the shoulders and a 'what do you want me to do about it attitude. Shame - don't expect to be treated like that on my nice Sunday afternoon. Attitude is just unnecessary and completely ruined my experience at this pub. Sort it out management!
Its a very good value for money. The rooms are well decorated and the bed and shower are good! We stayed there a few times and as always great! The food of the pub attached to the hotel is great also!
Some good beers and great location. Very busy though!
