We organised an evening buffet dinner on Saturday 21st December. We were 10 couples all work colleagues. The service with a smile all the way from beginning to end, the variety and quality of the food, the presentation and choice of food and dessert, everything was perfect. Thank-you to all and keep up the sterling work. JF Malta

Nice hotel but not worth five stars. The class is not there at all.
Children run and shout in the so-called lounge bar. No one from the hotel responds. Cisk beer is served instead of Carlsberg unless you make a comment then it happens to be served wrong. Ordered a melon with Parma ham and got a plate with only salad and the ham was forgotten. The waiter himself has put the ham on the plate in the kitchen. Many foreign staff who work against their will with a long face therefore have to forgo the good people. No adult only zone, unfortunately where one could relax. Everything is allowed here and no one from the hotel responds. Ideal for families with children who are hyper active and can yell and yell without any problem. For this price you have other top hotels where you can really relax and where you as a customer are served at your beck and call.

We came here on a last minute trip during the off peak season (winter). We checked in with a very friendly agent, who informed us to sign up with Marriott (this place is run by Marriott) to get WiFi. It s really simple and the WiFi was quick and always worked. There was also free water in the lobby, a balcony and a bar too. The small sweets placed at the counters are a nice touch too. The room was excellent. The balcony was nice and we had a decent view of the sea (we didn t book a proper sea facing room). There was Air-con which worked and a very good amount of TV channel choices. Room service prices are what you d expect from a 5 star hotel, but the quality was excellent. Same can be said for the breakfast, which was amazing and there were new choices every day. All staff were amazing. We also tried Palio s restaurant which is sadly only open on Fridays and the weekend. You must try the food there, especially the traditional Maltese tortellinis. As vegetarians, there were a decent amount of options, and the hotel is located close to town for many more restaurants. However, it s not noisy inside the hotel grounds, despite being close to the town. Whilst the sea was too rough (and cold) to swim in, there are 2 pools; one outdoor and one indoor. The indoor pool is warm and there is a decently warm hot tub next to the indoor pool too. Also, there were saunas and a spa available. Massages were available too and not for a bad price. The gym is excellent, and there is table tennis (YAY!). Would recommend the buses which tour Malta (they stop at the hotel, just ask an agent to help). Toilets are available outside the room too. Overall, an unforgettable experience at Westin Dragonara, would visit again!

Hotel is nice, room very comfortable, staff also nice (even if a bit slow at check-in). But having 5 star hotels paying for internet connection is middle age if not medieval!! Come on guys, it's almost offensive in 2020!!

Perfect place situated on the east coast of the island. Two lovely and private beaches and a host of wonderful amenities. The concierge, Tony, was extraordinary as was the custom service; very professional. Loved the fresh flowers in the suite as well as the complimentary theater tickets. The food is beyond this world and the entire stay was far better than expected. Excellent taste in decor and architecture, too.

I came to this hotel knowing that it has a SPA. Unfortunately neither Turkish bath nor sauna worked. It was a disappointment, from a star.
For the rest it is an excellent structure. I leave 3 stars only for the respect to the people who work there, very kind and helpful. And to them a heartfelt thanks.

Very, very nice hotel. Staff impeccable. The kind of place where they would be upset if the weather is not to your liking...as everything else is under their wonderful, professional and charming control without the over bearing and pretentiousness of similar World wide hotels. From the moment we checked in till the wave as we left...absolute pleasure....thank you.

The location was good, the pool was clean, snorkeling was possible on the private beach, and there were many customers with children. The quality of the room is normal but wide. In the corner room, you can relax with 2 balconies. There is also a casino, but it is old and small. Restaurant lunch is normal. The morning breakfast buffet is quite good.

Pool is awesome, however not a rooftop pool like other nearbye resorts, it is a great location with access to the ocean directly. Rooms are great and the concierge are incredibly knowledgeable. Olga the counter manager helped resolve an issue for us in a timely manner. Overall was s great stay near the iconic downtown St. Julian, can't complain.

We live this hotel and it's our 3rd or 4th stay. I have to say it's even nicer since the recent refurb. From the crystal clear ocean to the multiple restaurants on site it makes for a perfectly relaxing family holiday. Despite being fairly large it never seems to feel crowded.

Beautiful facility, nice service! Some rooms, however, in urgent need of renovation. Fortunately, we were able to swap rooms without any problems in the late season, when it is not so busy.

The hotel is half refurbished and when we arrived they put s in an old very damp smelling room. After complaining they moved us to a refurbished room which was much better. Don t waste your money on half board as the dinner buffet is a complete rip off for what you pay for. Better to spend your money in the local restaurants. There is practically no entertainment at night apart from a 98 year old man on a piano which feels at times really annoying. The staff are friendly and the service is good but nothing amazing. There is no sandy beach here so don t come here thinking you ll play in the sand. Having said that the sea is beautiful and fresh to swim in even though it is rocky and deep. The surrounding area is a club/bar scene so nothing for the kids or family. All in all good but not great.

The Westin Dragonara was a great hotel to stay in,...

The Westin Dragonara was a great hotel to stay in, and the location is fairly central in St Juliens with a short walk to most places in this town.
The bed was firmer than I'm used to, but comfy and the room in good condition and well kept by the cleaning staff. They even folded a couple of shirts I had left on the bed!
There are a few restaurants to choose from, of which all are good quality and Palio's is very reasonably priced with a good choice on the menu. Quandro is a very good fish restaurant and the Terrace restaurant serves a buffet but both of these are much more expensive.
There are good clean swimming areas for the hotel, there are 2 swimming pools and 3 areas to swim in the sea along with sunbeds in all locations. Each pair of sunbeds have a table with a number, which allows to you order from the bar through whatsapp, I didn't use this service but thought it's a nice little touch for those that don't want to move from their spot.
There's also a gym and a beauty salon which we didn't have time to use, I know the salon has rates but I'm unsure if the gym does and is included in the cost of the stay.

By far the most used by us is the taxi service which the concierge can order for you, the rates are typically cheaper than the taxis elsewhere although we did manage to haggle some taxis down to their rate to get back to the hotel.

Overall I enjoyed my stay and definitely recommend to others.

Another wonderful holiday at the Westin Dragonara - the staff are really second to none, Ramone in the restaurant, Jeffrey at Breakfast, and many more throughout the day - it s our family s first choice!

Maybe the best hotel in Malta. Great service, very good facilities, good restoration. Area "adults only" with private access to coast for bathing in the sea. Unforgettable dinner under the moonlight in the "Boathouse". It is also "friendly" for families with small children.

Clean and good service. Very noisy ... It is better to avoid spring seminars unless you are woken up every night. During this period no catering at night. Breakfast with a wide choice of medium products. Free Wifi fee!

My absolute favorite hotel, beautiful and stylish! I was there for the third time recently and always feel good! The moment I arrive at the hotel, I'm relaxed! The staff are of exquisite courtesy, the breakfast buffet is excellent with a huge selection! Only the big groups, who often hit with a lot of noise, disturb the relaxed atmosphere!
