Luxurious hotel close to Kennedy Center and convenient to Georgetown. However, it's looking a bit worn, and costs are very high. Unless you're planning on driving, or taking Ubers it's not convenient to the monuments and museums.

This was a really amazing hotel. Beautiful view from the balconies. If only Covid hadn't caused all the good stuff to be taken away such as basic amenities like a fridge and microwave. Definitely would stay again once everything is back to normal.

Stayed here for a staycation to celebrate my anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and well appointed. The crowd was eclectic and not quite as upscale as what you find at the Four Seasons or the Ritz. Didn't like the upsell at the front desk upon check-in and opted to stay in the one bedroom suite I booked. The rooms are really large and the balconies are a nice perk. If you go, I highly recommend the Argentta Spa. Terry, in particular, is excellent for facials. The spa uses premium products and I was impressed with the treatment and results. My husband had a deep tissue massage and was also very pleased. Overall, it's not quite comparable to the five star hotels in the same area, but a solid 4 star choice for an upscale stay.

Awesome hotel and world class service. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the staff did something above and beyond for the special occasion I was celebrating. When staying in DC, this should be the first place you look.

Went to a meetup at the rooftop bar. It was an amazing night, the place was packed with 20-30 year olds. I doubt this is typical but one of the ushers told me that's how it normally is. Anyway, you're mainly coming here for the view of the Potomac. Make sure you bring your shades if you come before sunset.

The building itself is an eye-sore, but it's super shmancy inside, and you really can't beat the view from the Top of the Gate. Great place for a couple of cocktails while the sun sets. Pricey af tho

Tables in lobby area extremely dirty. Only one bar of soap in bathroom so have to move it from sink area to shower as needed. Only 2 bath towels and no where to hang them so they won't get wet when showering. Breakfast was good (we ordered off the menu) but plastic plates and cups?!? We normally stay at the Willard or JW Marriott but decided to try the Watergate for a change of pace. Mistake!

We did an event here and it was well done. The hotel is somewhat challenged for space so you need to think about what rooms you are using for an event. Overall a good hotel and they invite you to steal the pens!

Service from staff was fantastic and all details of the stay were well taken care of. The decor is modern, yet retro and the rooms public spaces are very comfortable. Great river and city views from the room and an overall amazing experience. It was a little bit confusing finding the hotel entrance at first, but that's the only thing that wasn't perfect about the stay.

Don't ever try, & call anybody in the hotel for service inside, or outside of the Hotel. We needed to confirm if some packages were delivered to our room. All I, & my teammates got was an automated switchboard that you could not break out of. Then after making a selection you would get a recording either stating that it was after normal working hours (it was around 11:00 to 12:00 noon), or you would have to listen to a series of Nixon speeches.

We had an event at the rooftop bar. The view of the waterway and bridge was very pretty and sunset. The staff was friendly and attentive. Every piece of food provided was delicious, including the chicken, a nice surprise. Other items included Mac and cheese, corn bread, chicken Yakitori, and fried shrimp.

Chic and stylish design the room is done up very nicely although quite small space. The location is not very near from attractions and it is kind of out of everything else. However it is the iconic Watergate. Would recommend

I didn't know the history of the hotel and it's relationship to the scandal. Aside from that the hotel is excellent and the receptionist staff is very nice and friendly. The rooms are spacious and modern. Highly recommended.

Infamous hotel with cool 50s era architecture. Rooms and service are 5 star. I deduct one star because they gave away my room, which was unwelcome news at 12:30am when checking in. At least they put me in the four seasons Georgetown, which is also a pretty nice hotel.

Beautiful hotel, very very very nice staff. Every staff me6od the hotel was so professional, welcoming and cheerful. They assisted with ideas and activities, made sure we had everything we needed in the room and made the stay very nice. On top of that the hotel itself was so beautiful and the rooms were so nice, clean and large. I really felt good in the hotel. The spa and pool facilities were also so wonderful. It was a great experience, I would definitely suggest dor anyone and I am sure to be back soon.

The experienced staff greeted us in the drive, escorted us into the lobby, and took care of our luggage and vehicle. The concierge desk was able to supply our room key, and told us our luggage would be delivered later. The elevator was slightly dated, but the entire hotel is beautiful. A must for any history buff! Secret service men were in the lobby as we walked back from supper. The rain shower head in the bathroom made me never want to leave. Still, around 2AM there was a stranger knocking on our door( repeatedly). And that woke us up, and was a little startling. We don't know if the person was intoxicated and in the wrong location, or what, but the hotel gave me a free umbrella ( that was designed by the costume designer for Mad Men) because of it. Our room was through one locked door, and then there was another "outer room" which shared a space for two rooms, so I don't know if the knocker was in the other room, but when I looked through the peephole, there was no one there, which was a little creepy. Overall, this experience was one of the best hotel experiences of my life, and I would gladly stay there again!

This review is for the customer service from management, not so much the actual hotel. And before I start, no employee was ever rude, just not accommodating. I have a group of friends and family members who are flying in from all over the US to celebrate a birthday in late March. In early January we made an online reservation for the winter igloos offered at the watergate. It is now late February and the hotel emails us to tell us they can not accommodate our reservation because the igloo season ends March 1st. Okay that s understandable that you have a season but what I m upset about is that you allowed us to make the reservation for a time of year that you don t have the igloos open. Why wouldn t you have that blacked out on your website? Then it takes them nearly a month to notify us letting us know that we can not reserve. Since we made the reservation we have called several times to ask about add on services like bottle service or drink packages, as well as cutting our birthday cake, we have also called to add another person to our reservation. Each time we called they have always asked for our name and date of reservation, and no one has ever said anything about the date in question. After receiving their email declining us our reservation we spent the next two days trying to negotiate but with no luck. This is bad for business. We have never visited this establishment before and because of the way this situation was handled I m sure we probably never will.

Checked in a couple hours ago for our anniversary weekend. So far so good! We have a room with a wonderful view of the Potomac River! The Next Whiskey Bar has a wonderful selection of Whiskey, Bourbon, Rye, and other spirits. The Rooftop bar has a wonderful view as well!

A rooftop bar, a pool, a whiskey bar, and a 5 star restaurant makes this place fabulous. But it all pales in comparison to the staff. They tend to your every need. Absolutely the best in the business. Be sure to check out the scandal room! Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Attended brunch with friends at the Kingbird restaurant. The staff were friendly from the entrance of the Watergate to the restaurant sitting. I didn't give 5 stars due to my radio station being changed my the valet staff and actually witnessing the gentleman driving a little fast while returning the vehicle to the small valet area.

Stayed here one night for my birthday! From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff was amazing. We rented an igloo and had dinner in it. The food was amazing. Our waiter was excellent. The room overlooked the river and had a great "Watergate" vibe. Very conveniently located near the Kennedy Center. Was a memorable experience!

The Watergate hotel what is a premium 5-star hotel without a doubt! My wife and I enjoyed the rooms and the turndown service they offered every evening. The spa is absolutely amazing. and I recommend looking at the museum that they have their own site. The rooms are decorated very contemporary. The sheets and pillows or very soft. And the bathroom was spacious with a huge shower. The rooftop was amazing with great views and the eagles were very classy trendy and unique. My wife and I will be back soon. I recommend this hotel.
