Perfect stay for a gateway. The facility, staff, and food were fabulous. Wouldn't change a thing.

We were at the property over the huge protest/march, and couldn't have felt more looked after. The staff customized our itinerary and reservations so we didn't miss a beat.

Upper House is our hotel when we come to Hongkong for holidays. We are always greeted like part of their family when we come here. It is like having a home away from home. We are met with friend faces like Kristina, Peggy, Shane, Clayton, Dino and some other great staff member. This time they made my Birthday celebrations in Hongkong so memorable. On my that day, I was greeted by the staff wishing me Happy Birthday as we stroll for breakfast and to our surprise I was given a chocolate platter with a candle for breakfast. Then when we came back from our dinner that night, we were given some more gifts and a Black Forest cake with a candle and a lighter. It made a huge impact for us. Thank you Upper House for looking after our stay again. P.S. When we leave for lunch or dinner appointment, if there is a company car available they always offered to chauffeur us there and back. This is what I call a 6 star service hotel. Guess what, we will be back.

This is the best hotel I will probably ever stay at. As an architect, I was in design heaven. And as a first time corporate traveler (who would never personally be able to stay in a place like this) I never once felt uncomfortable or out of place. Thanks to all the staff!

<The Upper House> is quite famous. It is the first hotel in the tripadvisor in Hong Kong. It is located in Admiralty Station. It will reach a high-end hotel area through a department store. It has no obvious signs and is not easy to find. . When you enter, there are people to come to the reception. There are Chinese and foreigners in the reception. It seems that many of the guests are foreigners. There will be a person leading into the room, this time I live on the 38th floor.

The airport was not convenient in the past. If you are taking the MRT, you have to go to Central and transfer to another line to Admiralty Station. Admiralty Station is close to important tourist areas such as Central, Victoria Harbour, Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay.

The elevator is very big. This is the first time I have sat in such a large elevator, and there are porcelain decorations in it.

From the first to the 38th floor, I like this natural light-transparent landscape. There are also small pools and decorations, which are very temperament. Looking up, the middle bar is a bar of wine, a touch of beauty.

Once inside, curious, open the box of tea, there are nine kinds of tea to choose from. The coffee on the right hand side is the coffee capsule of illy. It is the most favorite thing in the mini bar! The drinks, nuts, biscuits, etc. provided in the mini bar are delicious and delicious. Illy coffee machine, plus milk, good to drink: D

There is an iPad in the drawer! But I don't think it's very good. It's pure gimmick, it's not powerful, and the function runs very slowly. The overall texture of the drawer is great, and the iPad charging cable is silently stored in it.

The exquisiteness of the "The Upper House" is worthy of careful attention... no matter whether the bedroom or bathroom is very spacious, it is a must in Hong Kong! It has a great view, whether it's on the bed, on the sofa, or in the bathtub, it has a very wide view, and you can forget your own crowded Hong Kong.

Basically, if the budget allows, you can still consider living, experience the delicate and textured hotel, enjoy the beautiful scenery, there is a feeling of faintly hidden in the city!

We had a lovely staycation here - the room was surprisingly baby-friendly (spacious with large windows, large & soft carpet area, and a couple of stairs leading to bathroom which our 1 yr old found very interesting). The service crew put protective covers on all the furniture edges prior to our arrival. The baby crib was also large and very comfy (with Peter Rabbit theme). Service, food and facilities were all just perfect!

I just checked in 40 minutes ago and I'm giving 5 stars right away. Impeccable service and provided me a free ride to my destination.
Very clean, friendly staff and manager to greet and explain the room and upgrade option.

Another exceptional stay at UH. Marcel Thoma and his team do a fantastic job at making this treat a home away that is often better than home. Special attention to details and small touches from checking in in your suite (we had a very special treat and were upgraded again to a penthouse suite), to luxurious UH branded gifts and Bamford toiletries, differentiate this haven from many other luxurious 5 star hotels. Our son's initials are XO (kisses and hugs!) and he was thrilled to have 2 sets of silver XO balloons in our suite on arrival. Our daughter is about to celebrate her 14th birthday (a day after our stay there this time) and had a surprise chocolate cake and balloons waiting in the suite for her after dinner last night. Guest Services, led by Sabrina Klick, were first class and ever on hand with great suggestions on where to eat and what to do with our day. In a city where the traveller is spoilt for choice with some of the most luxurious places to stay, we cannot imagine staying anywhere else other than in UH. We are sad to be leaving but will be sure to return again soon. Thank you Marcel, Sabrina, Christina and team for making our stay so special

The only good thing is the room is spacious and the bathroom has quite a good view...
Service is not so 5 star standard, the common area are all quite small, there are many details I don't think it's really to a 5-star hotel qualification.
One time visit is enough, I can get a better view, service, room, facilities...etc, at many other hotels...

I find that it rates so high on Google because many are rating the restaurant instead of the hotel itself.

Upmarket hotel with friendly staff. Child friendly although the only way up from the lobby to the lifts is via an escalator. So if your kid is asleep in the stroller you got to somehow get the stroller on the escalator. My advice is to come with a small foldable stroller. Their restaurant, Cafe Grey, is the BEST, serving Chinese western fusion cuisine. My personal favourite is the croissant eggs truffle. Kids loved the stay there as the hotel even gave them balloons and other gifts upon our checkin. Wonderful and memorable stay. Lovely views and comfortable bed. Have stayed there every time we come to HK.

Beautifully designed boutique hotel located in the high floors of the building of JW marriot. Lovely restaurant and occasionally host events. Great place for drinks at night and they have great vegetarian options as well as tea collection. If you are looking for design and good food with a few, this is one of the best place.

This is a very nice hotel. I am intrigued by hotel room design and have enough experience to have a valid opinion. There is a lot of clever thought in the detail of this place. No pool unfortunately and some of the room tech could be more intuitive but great place to stay if you are in central. Attentive well drilled staff. Aspirational bar on the top floor.

Love the bathroom view
Room is very spacious

Together with some snacks and coffee capsules
The only personal complaint is not enough lighting in the room

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. There is a unique focus on the guest experience. You're treated like a celebrity no matter who you are. This has become my go to location for any future stays in Hong Kong!

I visited at afternoon tea. Seats are full. If you go early, you will be provided with a waiting seat.
Afternoon tea menu looks "is this only ~? It feels like, but actually it is a fair amount to start eating.
You can choose coffee or tea as a drink. Tea can be chosen from breakfast and Earl Gray.
Please check that there is no food with allergies.
I don't know the coffee, but I can have tea in my own teapot, but it will also help me along the way. I asked, but I think there was no additional charge.
And there is a restroom in the back, and there is no need to go to the restroom for a hotel.
Also, regardless of the country, there are more people who take photos than expected, so there is no need to worry.

Lastly, is it a candle?
There are candles that are lit all over the place, and there is a wonderful smell that can not be said in the space.
You can spend extravagant space and time

The location is in the small door on the side of the Marriott, very concealed, the number of rooms is not much, even if the full flow of passengers is not large, it is suitable for people with low-key.

I would rank this among the best hotels in the world if not THE best. Personalized service, consistent staff, perfect rooms, immediate response, perfect location, eye to detail. One of the few places that isn't trying to take your money but earn your long term trust. Mini bar is free for non alcoholic items. Always look forward to coming and sad to leave. Great restaurant especially breakfast. Next to Bowen Road for morning run, High end shopping mall... Feel entirely at home at upper house.

A boutique hotel in a skyscraper with beautiful view and top service.
You might not find a swimming pool but everything else is top 5 class with boutique chic. There is not doubt this is one of the coolest hotels in HK. The breakfast is great with good sets and the bar caffee Grey is city famous as a posh location for drinks at night.

found myself on a quick trip to Hong Kong for some...

found myself on a quick trip to Hong Kong for some quite time and to visit a dear friend. It was recommended I should stay at The Upper House for its eco-friendly and art-inspired hotel.

The Upper House is a prestigious member of the Swire Hotels group that manages unique luxurious urban hotels in Hong Kong, China and in the UK, and providing character in every room and dining experience for the discerning traveller who seeks style and personalised service.

The hotel has three categories of rooms: standard, upper suite and penthouse. 117 rooms, 21 suites and two penthouses, with views of the scenic harbour or the serenity of the islands mountains.

Upon entering my room, I could not help but gaze out of the floor-to-ceiling corner windows; views of the harbour were breathtaking. Features extended complimentary in-room bar (or mini-bar to us locals), complimentary espresso machine, selection of teas, interactive hotel info via the iPod touch and complimentary WiFi.

But wait, there was more through the sliding door at first I thought what a spacious room, with a L-shape lounge by the window, to reflect on the serenity of the hotel while sipping champagne to the outside world. It was the epic centre of all bathrooms and spacious dressing room area. Limestone finishes, enticing Italian freestanding marble spa bath, a spacious rain shower around the corner and double floating vanity.

Like the rest of the hotel, sense of poetic discovery was portrayed in all the furniture, lighting and the 350 pieces of art that were custom-made for The Upper House. From the pond below to the skylight above, wavy metallic lines on the walls were to emulate the rippling effects of water.

On level 49, a sky bridge crosses the atrium to one of the finest culinary experiences in Hong Kong Cafe Gray Deluxe. With an open kitchen along one end and a bar along the other, this cosy restaurant also has a semi-private area and large round tables for groups, each with a dazzling view over Victoria Harbour.

The Lawn, on level six, is the outdoor secret garden to which I fell in love with. I did not get to experience this urban retreat with barista coffee in the morning to the late evening cocktails and lanterns, as shown on the brochure. Although I did meet Carrie Ni, yoga instructor on Saturday and Sunday mornings, om shanti om .

My favourite part of visiting the hotel for the first time is exploring the rooms and all its secrets. Whatever I needed was within reach or a phone call away. Who would have thought that I would find a home away from home from such a busy city.

Tried Upper House for a staycation on a 24 hour suite with dinner package. Suite was very big with lots of nice comfortable furniture and modern technology. Set dinner was nice although would be good to get some more options. Staff very helpful and attentive. A la carte breakfast has a lot of choices. Also nice library lounge with lots of heavy books to check out as well as a nice tea menu. No swimming pool at this location however has a gym.

In my view, an absolute highlight that is worth every Hong Kong dollar. The smallest room in the Upper House is 70 square meters, but the hotel is not only top in Hong Kong.

The staff read the guests' every wish from the lips and make the stay an experience. The employees greet the guests by name and respond to their individual needs.

Design lovers will also love the hotel, and those who like to look far away from the bathtub are also right here.

Both the rooms overlooking the harbor and the rooms overlooking the green mountains have their charm.

Modern and spacious room with good services. Under the current COVID-19 social distancing measure, the hotel restaurant wouldn't open for dinner. Instead, we get to enjoy it in our room. Personally, I preferred to have it in my room than in the restaurant.

Best city hotel in the world. Why? Airport greeting and car service (with water and wi fi) is pitch perfect. Service is anticipatory and can handle nearly every request. Everyone you come across is proactive, polished, and represents the brand well. Good gym and easy access to the rest of HK via the house car or MTR from pacific place. This is modern luxury hospitality at its finest and I love staying here.

I visited Hong Kong for the second time in 13 year...

I visited Hong Kong for the second time in 13 years since I visited Hong Kong as a child.

Originally, I do research thoroughly before going on a trip, so I think I looked at all five star hotels in Hong Kong. Other hotels, such as Four Seasons and Peninsula, have several restaurants and well-equipped facilities such as swimming pools, while this hotel is quite small and does not have facilities such as swimming pools.

Nevertheless, I made a reservation because everyone around me said this was the best, and in conclusion, I was very satisfied. One of my friends said,'Actually, if I go to Hong Kong, I don't go except the Upper House', but when I visited, I knew what it meant.

<Room condition>
-I made a reservation with Studio 70, harbor view.
-The bathroom + dressing room and the bedroom + living room are separated, so it feels as if you are staying at home rather than a hotel, and it was very convenient because the lines leading to the shower room-bathtub-dressing room were good. It felt a little different from a typical hotel.
-The shower gown was very thick and comfortable.
-The bed seems to be about 2 meters wide, so there was no discomfort for two people to sleep together.

-All drinks except wine and champagne are free in the minibar, and snacks such as simple cookies are provided every day. However, there are so many things to eat in Hong Kong, so I didn't have a chance to eat a lot of what was in the room.
-Breakfast cannot be said to be very tasty, but it is reasonably good and tidy. The fresh fruit juice was very good.

<Staff service>
-Once you have made your reservation, you will receive an email from the hotel to help you with reservation confirmation, restaurant reservations, and schedules. I personally made all reservations for the restaurant, but the various tourist-related materials provided by the hotel were very helpful, and the tourist attractions such as the gallery recommended by the hotel were good.
-All the staff are friendly, and they do things very quickly. I don't remember waiting long after asking for something like other hotels.
-As soon as I arrived at the hotel, the hotel told me that the scent was very good, but when I entered the room, I was surprised to find a candle in the room as a gift. In addition, they gave us pouches and hotel books as gifts, and they prepared chocolate in the room almost every night, so I enjoyed it very much.
-There is a Korean employee (Sharon), and it was really helpful because he took a lot of care. He arranged a hotel car when going nearby, and we had a hard time using it locally because we took too many thousand dollar bills in Korea, and he went to the bank to solve the problem. In the meantime, I mainly visited hotels that were not very popular with Koreans, so there were no Korean staff members, but I didn't know that one staff member had such a big impact on a pleasant trip. If I knew that there was a Korean staff member, I would have liked to talk with him even when contacting the hotel in advance.
-I didn't make a restaurant reservation on the last day, so I asked the hotel desk to help me eat at Lung King Hin or Yan Tho Hin for lunch the next day. At reception, they usually booked those restaurants 3 months in advance, but they said they would check it out. After a while, I got a call from the front desk, and all of the restaurants I talked about were full, but I had reserved Tin Lung Hin in Lees Carlton as an alternative. In fact, from a tourist's point of view, I wanted to go to a restaurant of that level, but I didn't have to be there, but it was very impressive that I caught this need well and suggested an alternative.

<location>
-It is connected to a shopping mall called pacific place at Admiralty Station. The surroundings were very neat, and there was a Hong Kong park nearby, so it was nice to take a walk.
-Pacific Place shopping mall has restaurants such as Peking Garden, Dim Sum Library, and Playa du Jour, which are great for eating and buying late-night snacks to bring to the room.
-It wasn't a very long distance to walk to central and Soho. It was also convenient to go by subway. I am mostly in the Hong Kong Island area, so the location was good, and Tsim Sha Tsui is actually close to one subway station.

Decent hotel with excellent and attentive service, delicious food and relaxing dining atmosphere.
Must try their restaurant, their set lunch is marvelous. From the appetizer or soup, then main course to dessert with coffee or tea with a touch of their home made chocolate, everything is just perfect.

Only one thing I want them to improve, as the space constraints, they only have a very small open space for their guest, can they stop letting the guest to smoke in the only open area? As kids must play around there. I believe they can build up a smoking room with good ventilation, instead of letting the only open space for the smoker to smoke in there.

Good place to check out if you happen to be in HK island and are in need of a place to collect yourself and charge your phone. On the top floor is a restaurant/coffee shop and as well as a business center. I hung out for an hour for the Wifi and ended up feeling awful because I bought nothing at all

The place where I went to eat while watching the wonderful view in the evening. The view is good, but the staff is friendly and more formal than formal. I feel uncomfortable throughout. It was okay to eat and it seemed to be better since dinner became dark.
But I do not want to go twice. I think it's better to have dinner at a comfortable place elsewhere.

Probably the most toddler friendly luxury hotel we have ever stayed at.

Staff went out of the way to make our stay comfortable and provided most baby items (steriliser, high chair, anti slip mat, corner guard, baby bath tub etc.) in our room.

Service was fantastic and all staff greeted us and our 14 month old by name.

Rooms are massive by Hong Kong standards and have excellent views.

Amazing stay ! Beautiful rooms with a great view, the guest experience team made our stay memorable with really nice gestures tailor made for us. We went to the restaurant it was great, a fusion cuisine freshly made with the most stunning view of HK and the best cocktail (rec. Earl Grey martini)

The Upper House is one of the best hotels we have visited in the world based on service, exclusivity, and design. The service was unparalleled and the staff sought to make the most acute accommodations in order to make guests feel at home including a customized menu for dietary restrictions. The rooms were impeccable with a minimalist design. Located in Pacific Place the hotel was Central to Hong Kong yet had a very private feel for those looking for security.

I did not stay there and have no plan to. Just called to make a reservation for breakfast and the person answered my phone was unbelievably rude, arrogant and patronising. I would not spend my money on snobs.

This place has the most stunning architecture that I ve ever seen in my life. It has a very Japanese aesthetic, modern, and unique. Even the bathrooms are really spectacular in how they are designed. We also went on Christmas day, so they had free delicious desserts.

Upper house make you feel at home with an unbeatable guest experience in the a sublime minimalist hotel. My only regret after each stays is not to stay longer.
Don't forget cafe grey on the top floor with view on the bay. A huge thank you to Marcel for his attention and kindness during our stay.

A wonderful experience in general. The hotel itself is focused greatly in the design of the environment. Though beautiful, it can sometimes be not so practical. Take the shower for example, it is open and one side and if you are not careful you can end up flooding the whole bathroom. So be careful. However, the rooms are great, beautifully crafted and with pretty nice views. Perhaps it is not the view you'll get from Kowloon, but if you're planning on staying on the financial district it is a marvelous option. One of the best staffs I have ever met, very friendly and really helpful.

Fine!

Great hotel, great location, outstanding food, beautiful view & amazing team. Love it a lot and for sure I will recommend it to my customers and for sure I will be back. I was there in the time of demonstration and talking about amazing service, the team came together to make sure we were safe and happy. We didn't cancel any of our programs thanks to The Upper House team. Hands down best GM and best team.
