The centrally located Trafalgar St James Hotel boa...

The centrally located Trafalgar St James Hotel boasts one of the coolest rooftop spaces in London. Come here to sip alfresco cocktails while gazing at the London Eye and Nelson s Column. As night draws in, guests can snuggle under heaters and blankets to witness the awe-inspiring sunset. Want to impress your guests? Book their private ROOM, an enclosed glass space offering private dining with a view for up to 14 guests. Sensational!

The staff were particularly friendly and welcoming. They took time to talk. Location is superb and despite being so central there was no noise pollution. Food was beautifully prepared and presented. Room excellent and very comfortable. Well done everyone

Great rooftop bar which has great views over Trafalgar Square. There are plenty of heaters up there which extends the time that you can spend up there. Food and wine were fantastic too. They have a rather quirky system for queuing to get a seat on the rooftop whereby you're given what is effectively a pager, so you have have a drink in the bar downstairs and get buzzed when there's a table for you.

We were so pleased with the hotel location and the room. The hotel is located in the heart of Trafalgar and it was the perfect location for walking around London and seeing all the sights. The room was spacious and clean. Had a wonderful breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Would definitely stay here again on a return trip to London.

Refurbished, and extended bar, completed sometime in August 2017. Despite the elegant surroundings the waiting staff are poorly trained, the delays from order to serving (even when it's not busy) are unacceptably long.

Special Anniversary break in London and it really surpassed our expectations. Room was beautiful with Molton Brown sumptuous bath! Breakfast excellent, we had continental style which was delicious. Staff attentive but not intrusive. Keep up excellent standard.

The staff are brilliant, friendly, fun, alert and made my experience of this hotel and absolute pleasure. We attended a partner event which was taking place downstairs and the organisation was great. Admittedly some of the responsibility goes to the agency running the night, but the staff were so alert and friendly it made the whole experience even the more pleasurable. Ensuring your prosecco glass is always topped up and that the food is served to everyone is a great way to make people feel catered for, but when it's done with such professionalism, fun and character you almost wish the staff were off duty and could join you for a drink. Tyrell and Sabrina were particular credits to the hotel and they really made the evening a great night. Well done Hilton - you hire really well!!

You can judge a hotel by many things, one of which is the universally loved club sandwich. Unfortunately what was served today was a bit of a dogs dinner. The club sandwich should be served on lightly toasted bread, three slices ideally. What was served was a burger bun containing very badly cut lettuce and tomato along with the other usuals chicken, bacon and mayo. Both myself and my business colleague who just happens to love a good club sandwich were horrified at the presentation. To be honest I feel a little missold but we were starving so decided to eat them. Poor show to be honest. The chips were good though.

The concierge staff is very friendly, but the people that are in charge of clearing out the room after guest leave are not very kind. My brother left in his room 3 vinyl records and an hour after he called and they checked out they were gone! A very strange situation for a 5 star hotel, so this is a matter of 1 star rating. Managers should check that issue closely.

Nice hotel, clean and spacious rooms.
The room was quite warm, even with the air con on full blast, (which was loud) and that made me uncomfortable.
The staff was friendly enough, and the location was absolutely the best.
Just add vegan options on the menu.

Location, service, room and cuisine are all 5 star here. We especially loved the roof top restaurant which they always accommodated us at even during busy times. Highly recommend this hotel when staying in London.

We had a great stay at the trafalgar. Our room was clean and more spacious than I expected. Staff was extremely helpful with directions. We also had added to our initial stay and would need to change rooms. Staff arranged so that we had the same room for our stay, Ibby was great as concierge . Staff recognized my daughter and myself , asked about our day and knew us at breakfast every morning. I can't wait to come back. Great location for touring the city as well.:)

Horrible, absurdly rude, went in with three other girls of colour and they accused us of stealing hand cream. Racist, classist institution. Could purchase all the hand cream inside there if I wanted to!

Amazing hotel, right at the corner of the Trafalgar Square, 10m from an underground station and near several points of interest, like the Churchill War Rooms, the Royal Cavalry Museum, the Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and more. Staff is friendly, caring and very efficient. Rooms are cozy and very quiet, and the breakfast is great nice.

If you are lucky enough to end up in London on a sunny afternoon or evening then definitely make sure you end up at The Trafalgar hotel and go up to the Vista rooftop bar. I think you might have to book ahead for a table but it's worth it to get a break from the crazy bustle of what's below you.

Going here will impress your friends, colleagues or date on a warm day - you get a totally different view on London/trafalgar square that you have not seen before

Bar staff were friendly and attentive - if you end up getting hungry and want snacks then the bread sharing platters are REALLY expensive for what you get - you have been warned.

Best hotel I have stayed at in London. And I've stayed in quite a few. Excellent location. Spacious, modern room. Really nice design. And excellent breakfast. Service is really great. Don't miss a drink at the rooftop

Nice hotel in the center of London. This was our first visit so it was a great location. It s a very busy and loud location so be prepared. The room was a good size and the free mini bar was a plus! The hotel was very clean. Lots of great eateries near by.

Beautiful decor, the place has been finished to a great standard. Friendly welcoming staff, but not over the top. Room was well laid out. Good use of the space available. Asked for a quiet room away from the lift, which we got. But because it was a lower floor room we could hear the music from a nightclub that must be underneath. Great comfy bed, lovely spacious bathroom.

Highly recommend this Hilton property. The location in London is impeccable for any type of sight seeing (easy Tube access, as well as walking to Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Thames, etc). I was very impressed with how accommodating and super helpful the staff was (i.e. we arrived very early after a 12 hour flight from the US with a 2.5 year old, and the staff was able to get us into a room early). I am a Hilton Diamond member, so my expectations of service at any Hilton property are very high...and this property met them all. I will definitely stay here again when in London.

After having a very expensive corporate event at this venue we were told that we couldn't wait in the lobby for our colleagues. I couldn't express my disappointment at this venue after the money spent. I would not recommend this venue after basically being kicked out on the street.

My wife and I stayed at the Trafalgar St. James for about a week around Christmas. The location is great, right off Trafalgar square and pretty central to the major sights. For what isn't walkable, the location is very near several (I think about 4-5) underground lines so it was easy to catch a ride to somewhere or more importantly to catch a ride from somewhere without making changes. There are good spots to eat nearby; easy to grab a quick and light breakfast on the way out. We did not eat in the hotel, but the lobby bar was a very nice and friendly way to end the day or start the evening. The room was nice sized and quiet for the most part. Would certainly stay there again!

Beautiful hotel! Excellent location! I loved the room decor. The staff is excellent and super dedicated. Check out their beautiful rooftop bar with their amazing view of gorgeous London. They made me feel like I was home with the outstanding service. I will stay here again love this hotel.

The room was amazing. A junior suite overlooking Trafalgar Square with a full size shower, tub, king sized bed that was very comfortable and a sofa. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The Rooftop Bar has an exquisite view of the city however the staff there were very dismissive almost borderline rude as they were overly concerned with an "important" group that they were expecting.

If you want a view of central London from a roof garden, and you want to sip pretty good cocktails at the same time, then the roof at The Trafalgar pretty much fills that criteria. Great for cocktails with the girls or for a date.

Good cocktails (pricey), lovely decor up there and great views. Found the staff friendly, and you don't need a booking, although making one will save you a potentially long stint downstairs with your name on a waiting list.

Waste of 10 mins of our time. A colleague booked 5 people in for a covid compliant leaving drinks. She rang and was told to book online and request outside space. She did this and rang to confirm. Five of us turned up and were told we could not come in as we were not one household and had not booked outside space as it wasn t book able. Receptionist seemed a little flustered. Another three people behind us, speaking to a different receptionist, said they were there for an outside booking, but did not even known the name of the booking, and were shown straight up to the bar. Bizarre. We found more welcoming outside and legally compliant places elsewhere.

Beautiful hotel and great service in the central location of Trafalgar Square. The hotel is where you want to be and is tastefully decorated. The staff are friendly and the hotel is clean and modern.

The only thing that gives this review a 4 star is the breakfast at the hotel. If you are visiting from North America which we were you will find it's menu offerings light on the plate including the buffet. Room service menu is ok and a little on the pricey side

Overall I would stay at this hotel again but there are many hotels in central London offering 5 stars, it's good to shop around.

We were given a renovated room, which was very nice, but the portrait of Mick Jagger hanging over the bed gave it that cheap Las Vegas/Planet Hollywood feel. I was expecting something more elegant for the price.

The housekeeping did a top-notch job attending to our room and the front staff was very friendly and provided excellent service!

The bar in the basement was lacking on liquor selection. They were always out of the one dessert I wanted to order. However, the staff was very friendly.

Great hotel.

Great hotel.
Centered locally, quick access to the "tubes" and other forms of public transport

The hotel is undergoing a major renovation and when we arrived they were in the midst of renovating the restaurant on the main level. Be sure to get a room on a higher floor as the noise can be EXTREMELY Loud.

Also, we learned during our stay that several of the floors have already had their rooms renovated . we were given a very nice tour of these rooms by the hotel manager. However, I am a Diamond Hilton member and when I checked into the hotel these rooms were never even offered to us and yet there was availability.

In general however the hotel staff is quite friendly

We arrived at 11am and was told that our room would be ready 1pm at the latest and that we would be priority. This was fine because I knew that the check-in time was 3pm. We went into town and came back at 130 for them to tell us the room would be ready in a half hour. We were exhausted from our flight so we just stayed in the main room. 2pm comes by and then 3. We didnt get to our room until 330. We wasted hours of our last day in london waiting for a room that was "almost ready". If they would of just said 3pm from the start I would of had no problem but they told us what we wanted to hear instead of what would actually happen. On a side note, the mini-bar included in the room was half drunk waters and a bottle of coke. Very disappointing

Equipped with a surprising rooftop overlooking Trafalgar square, breathtaking view over the whole of London where you can admire the highest points like the London eye and The Shard. Enjoy a glass of wine accompanied by great music. Shame about the service a bit poor. We waited 40 minutes to have a salmon rol. In the end we left. The rest is all beautiful.

We stayed 3 nights there, the location of the hotel is ideal, right in the heart of London, near theaters, monuments, museums. The hotel is quiet and the staff pleasant. Book without hesitation.

A really lovely hotel, it was the staff that made it even more special. They were so smiley and attentive. Set right on Trafalgar Square and the view from the rooftop bar is amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel offers spacious rooms relative to London standards. Very central to major tourist attractions. Courteous staff and a decent breakfast buffet are some of the added benefit of this Hilton chain hotel. Will definitely recommend.

Beautiful hotel! We only stayed one night, coming in from Greece, for our morning flight the next day but our experience was excellent. Staff were friendly and courteous. The bed was extremely comfortable! We slept like babies and were well rested for our early morning flight. The drinks and snacks in the fridge are complimentary, not a huge deal but it was a nice little perk. Attention to detail is amazing. The location is well situated within walking distance to Buckingham Palace and Piccadilly. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience the roof top bar but when we return to London, we absolutely will be staying at the Trafalgar again.
