If you love to relax and unwind in a breezy Oceanside spa this is the place for you! The staff is wonderful, the services are excellent and the classes are extraordinary. Best place to chill in Miami!

We have had the opportunity to visit the restaurant in the evenings. We like the atmosphere and the food. And not to mention the service, always attentive, and special with us. 100% recommended if you want to spend a pleasant night on the ground floor and overlooking Downtown.

Terrible deal. Michelle and her reception manager left us in the street because they made a mistake canceling the reservation that was already paid. They did nothing to repair it. It cost me a disappointment and 90 euros calling Spain to try to get it fixed. Expensive and poor treatment a combination that should not exist. Don't stay at this hotel, much better on ocean drive.

Always a slice of heaven. Lately, they've been running out of bathrobes, which is pretty annoying. Regardless, this place is magical! You have to get into the hot tub for the waterfall to massage your back, lay in the hammocks, chill by the fire pit, etc. etc.

Lots of treasures at this place ;)

Great location somewhat secluded. Dog friendly boutique hotel. Food and drinks are moderately priced. They have a new bath on the bay. You can park your boat on the bay and have lunch in the restaurant. There is a Mediterranean style cuisine at restaurant. They have heated marble in the spa and asked for a brown sugar rub. The pool is cool you can hear music playing under the water but not on the top which is very cool.

In the spirit of full disclosure, my review of The Standard is based on staying there for a business trip, a situation for which the hotel is not well suited. The rooms, motel-like in their outdoor access, are older, with a mid century feel. The crowd is young, European, and aspirational hip. Expect property-wide cigarette smoking and guests wandering around in robes. Onsite amenities include a hamam, sauna and steam room, fitness center, locker rooms, a 24 hour pool, juice bar, and boutique.

Great space but they overcharge guests of members. $150pp to have drinks by the pool is silly. Perhaps a membership is worth it but I have no interest in using the spa and it doesn t work at The Standards in LA. It s amazing that there are still so few places on the water in miami to relax casually and have a few drinks with friends. Certainly be a profitable business if there was. Until there is they have somewhat of monopoly. Staff is always friendly and the service is better than Soho beach house but that s an exceptionally low bar to reach.

A dog-friendly place for friendly dogs and friendly people. Also the most amazing people run and work at this place. Truly relaxing. The hot-tub-waterfall is one of the best shoulder massages I ve ever had. Will be back.

Stayed here as part of a wedding and couldn't of been more disappointing. The rooms are basically an old Locker room, and smells. When booking a room here the hotel doesn't expect you to need your room until 4PM, when I told them my mother needed to be ready for our 5pm wedding the manbuns behind the desk only offered a locker for my 58 year old mother to get dressed and done up for a wedding. Considering a room is $500 a night I feel like I should be staying at something of the same level as a W hotel and Ive stayed at Motel 6's nicer then this with better customer service. So many better options in Miami, do not stay here.

Wow. We got a day pass here and it was absolutely the best spa we've been to. Amazing steam and sauna amenities, beautiful pool and hot/cold tub, and several places on the property to take a nap in the afternoon sun. Definitely coming back!

Last September 2018 I was invited to spend the day at The Standard. It was amamzing. Had a wonderful breakfast that I somehow kept the taste in my mouth for a month. The pool service was great with pool service people runnng around in their yellow and white searsucker shorts filling up my glass with ice water everytime it got a little low. Truly a day to remember. Yesterday, April 16 2019 I was again invited for such a day. The worst. I was told there was a new chef and that the menu had changed. My breakfast was not what I ordered, I didn't conplain as I was hungry - I ate it anyway but it was almost uneatable. No pool staff in yellow and white shorts. There was scattered people running about but few and far. They were all dressed like the guest - hard to tell who was who. What happened? New owner? New management? Whatever - not good. I was very disappointed

If I could leave a zero, I would. Actually, a 1 star is appropriate and that is only because the valet attendants were the nicest people there. If you are planning on staying there, you should prepare yourself for why people actually go here. It is the pool and people watching. This is not a relaxing place to visit. The restaurant is more like a night club and the pool is there to cruise. All of which is perfectly ok, just know what to expect.
Now the downside, the rooms remind me of an old 1980's Day's Inn, that are small and unimpressive. Yes, they have tried to add some aesthetics to try and cover the fact that this place is subpar. I woke in the morning to shower and there was no hot water. I let the shower run for 15 minutes thinking that is was just the old pipes in the building, it never got warm. I called the front desk and no one answered. I decided I would rather wait at the airport than stay one more minute in this place. I went down to the front desk to check out and pass on the information that they had no hot water. I stood there (mind you it's 7 am and no one else is in the lobby) while the two front desk employees finished their conversation before acknowledging that I was there to check out.

Bottom line: this place markets their pool because every other feature is poor

I think that the people who work as hosstes in the pool should consider learn more about customer service, they offer the worst service! I can t believe how they treat the people in that place and even more when you are consuming more than $1000 dollars to received this terrible services including their manager. This hotel should hire more professional, kind, and proper professional employees for this kind of positions since they do not know how to treat your clients!!!

The dinner and food was amazing and we have friends who are huge advocates of the resteraunt but my friend and I bothed used the valley parking and our stuff was ransacked and gone through very blatantly...I will not be intrusting them with my car EVER again.

This is a review of the Lido bar and not the hotel accommodations.

This place is all about the ambiance. It is a fantastic place to take in a bit of the "Miami experience" with panoramic views of the Biscayne Bay, and the beautiful people frolicking about. The drinks are decent, the music is good, the food is expensive and not great, but that is not the reason you hang out here.

I've never stayed overnight but I have come to the spa and had brunch. This place is a must if you are visiting or live in Miami. The spa is peaceful and not that crowded, the hammam is a wonderful experience and the handmade body scrubs are to die for! Highly recommend making a day out of it! Have brunch, enjoy the pool and the spa.

Parking $27..no public parking near, rooms were nice at least.. waited 35 mins for valet to get my car. Was shooting getting ready for a wedding the day I came and they don't allow anyone to take pictures here..kind of lame with such a nice place, but when all of the guests are half naked I get it. So great views I guess and party if you're only there for that.

Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the standard spa. I expected a high end experience and instead received old locker rooms, one very small co-ed waiting room with 5/6 dirty bathtubs, and a steam room, which they refer to as their "Hamam room". Not pleasant at all. Men and woman were laying around in underwear. No privacy and there was no room to sit or lay down. The woman's locker room was old and had no basic toiletries like a high end spa does. No shower caps, shavers etc.. Anyone who has been to a 5 star spa knows what I am talking about. This place felt like a high school locker room instead, old and dirty. The spa services are overpriced and not worth it. My advice, avoid this place!

Awful customer service. Rude and obnoxious staff. Overcharged for the rooms, despite the fact that guests decided not to stay at the hotel (dirty rooms, no sound insulation, elevators not working etc. The list goes on), we were charged for two nights. Nobody could explain the cancellation policy to me or my colleague.
We left numerous messages with accounting department, nobody returned our calls (except for today, when I was already on the phone with an extremely rude and condescending girl at reception, who's name I can't remember. It was pronounced in a way that it was absolutely incomprehensible).
They refused to send me their cancellation policy, as well as the "manager dealing with my case" was suddenly unavailable until Friday.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Will never deal with that hotel again, and I highly recommend you'll give it a big pass as well.

The pool views are great and the coffee shop staff is lovely. Otherwise, every other experience is consistently substandard. The customer service, specifically from the the front desk, is so unbelievably poor. The hotel construction and finishes are rivaled by any given motel 6.

Relaxing spot just off South Beach and away from the crowds. The pool backs onto the bay with plenty of chairs and excellent service. Crowd is a good mix of locals and visitors (mostly New Yorkers).

I'm honestly so disappointed in this hotel. My husband and I are new parents and we wanted to getaway for a few days. When we arrived, we were told we couldn't check in until 4 pm. This is a bit late for me, especially because we payed with an American Express platinum which usually allows for a courtesy early check in. We were told there was nothing that could be done. We finally get called up to the front desk to check in, the person starts explaining the hotel to me. I tell her I'm tired and I just want the room key, weird rude reaction. Next, we finally get to the room it's tiny and hot. My bathroom knob is falling off. I knew it was downhill from there. My credit card was over charged by $1000.00. I'm told this is just a hold, we shall see. I call for my car, same rude girl is giving me an attitude and letting me know that she can't find my car under my room. I'm honestly so upset with my whole crappy experience. We have had a stressful, hard year and just wanted to relax and have a nice time. Never again.

Tranquil. Superb service. A very memorable 18th anniversary celebration! We stayed for a couple nights and it must have been off season because it wasn't crowded at all. After making the reservation online, I received a personal phone call to notify that the pool would be closed for maintenance during our stay. That was a nice touch. I hadn't known that and it didn't affect our plans but that's good customer service. Arrangements were made for guests to use a different hotel pool which we didn't take advantage of due to the torrential rains that day. Every single staff member went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. The gym is well-equipped with the exception of no free-weight squat rack. The couples massage was the best we've ever had. (I think Alejandra was her name) was astonishingly skilled. The restaurant was excellent for every meal. The creme brullee was our favorite dessert. Definitely splurge and get a room with the outdoor tub. My wife loved it. We will definitely be back!

Hands down my fave place in Miami. The entire puzzle fits here. The unassuming architecture, friendly staff and music that great you as you enter and the air of 1950 s euro chic that puts in the mood to relax and enjoy. The Standard Miami Beach is an island. Once here you ll want for very little else. I could probably write an essay on each and every aspect of what makes this hotel so good...

Easily my favorite place to stay in Miami. The front desk staff is so friendly and accommodating. I took advantage of the spa and massage services while I was there and so happy I did. I was in dire need of some body work and therapist, Jacob, saved the day. He created a highly personalized massage and fixed some issues I had for months. He makes you feel incredibly VIP and really focused on fixing your pain points which I appreciated so much. Highly recommend getting the message experience with him while you are there. Looking forward to my next trip!
