The view is amazing the sunset is worth it the music is very good and lounge but way too loud. It s a hotel spa bar restaurant not a nightclub. Prices are pretty high also but the food is very good.

Ate with my family at the restaurant Most dishes were returned inedible and poor quality! The ceviche was at room temperature! The chicken salad ( a simple dish) was sent back too ! The bill was over $250! The other guest had a burger ! Just ridiculous, and although the manager was kind enough to try to help, his intervention seemed to be for the purpose of checking our integrity !
Staff is all super friendly and helpful. They'll do anything for you with a smile. The rooms are decent but you're not there for the rooms. You're there for the awesome pool, the gardens, or the delicious food at the restaurant. Keep in mind that everything is very expensive. And it's not a great place to stay if you don't like spas.
Small rooms, dysfunctional design, cheap furnishings, hugely overpriced. Im giving it 3 stars, and not one, mostly due to courteous front desk staff and good housekeeping, but the hotel itself is nothing to write about. The rates are not competitive, the restaurant is mediocre with very small portions of overspiced and overpriced food, and the rooms are not comfortable, nor they re visually appealing. There are few nice things about this place - the pool, the spa, and the gardens, but they don t even closely compensate for the deficiencies and do not bring the place inline with its price. Parking is in its own category-$40 per night. I will not stay here again.
The bathhouse is absolutely stunning - clean, multifaceted, excellent steam room and sauna, hot showers, well attended, and quiet, calm atmosphere. Bingo night is a hilarious monthly must. Looking forward to staying here in the future.
Edit: stayed here for two days and one night after winning the grand prize at Bingo Night. My opinion on the spa remains unchanged. Additionally, the pool area with the hot waterfall and the adjacent power shower were clean, well and promptly serviced, and beautifully made. The arctic plunge was not functioning, but it made little difference with the pool right there. Room was small and cozy, with the most basic amenities there. TV was tiny and wall-mounted, but you don't really come here for that. The food served at the restaurant and poolside is overpriced and of average quality. I would recommend instead eating nearby at Sunset Harbor, at places like NaiYaRa and Stiltsville. Come for the spa. Stay for the pool. Eat elsewhere.
Great place to hangout for the evening. You can grab a drink, take a swim, then dry off by the fire place. Recommend for both staying overnight or having a SPA Membership.
Please do not come on weekends. There is no parking, full valet parking, there is no other place to park. The worst place to come for a weekend in Miami Beach
This place is my favorite happy place in all of Florida. I have come here for the H2Om classes on Fridays several times, stayed in the garden rooms twice, and even just come for the day pool/spa experience. This is a taste of the good life. While it's not overly ostentatious, it's chic, and perfect for a young couple who want's to experience what South Beach is really like. I highly recommend this place over Fountaine Bleau or similar places unless you want a bougie room. The rooms here are small and simple, but private. Definitely suggested for younger couples more-so than older. The one not perfect experience that I had, Anthony, the food & Bev manager, went above and beyond and made up for it. I can't wait to come back. Thank you Standard!
Came for a massage and to hang around the pool. The masseuse was really bad, the whole thing felt rushed and careless. There's only a steam room and a sauna but the sauna was warm not hot and the steam room had no eucalyptus or any aroma therapy, I was hoping for some aroma somewhere, not even the masseuse used any during the session. I went to the bar and grill afterwards and sat at the bar because the place was packed. The bar chairs were two low for how tall the bar was. Thr bartenders were so busy they kept forgetting stuff like when they made my Manhattan, he just left it behind the bar and forgot to actually hand it to me and it was hard to get their attention. The food was mediocre, got a ricotta and toast, the menu said it had walnuts in it. It didn't. It came with fruit instead, not bad but it wasn't in any way close to being worth the $18 for just one piece of toast and fruit. I would not come back here or recommend this place to anyone.
One of my favorite places on earth to stay. A couple of days at this place and you leave a new person. Wake up, toss on your suit and a robe and shuffle over to the hammam to relax. Grab a cold brew at the juice bar and sit out by the pool with a book. Options that are both tasty and healthy. At night, sit out in the meditation gardens by the fire pit and relax before heading up to bed. Don't miss a trip to the spa while you're there, the best massages I've ever had have all been at the standard.
Was ok but my friend and I stay today 04/17/2021 and the security african American without any name tag around 9:38pm approach to me and really unprofessionally talk to me I won't stay on this hotel no more Standard Spad miami beach
A 5 * hotel very friendly: here no stress or hectic businessmen who runs in all directions. Pool overlooking a beautiful view, as well as the restaurant. You will not regret your stay here!
So wackkkkk! Im a local haven't been here in a while and decided to go with my man to enjoy our Sunday afternoon. Good server horrible everything else. Got our food before our drinks like 50 minute wait while there's like no one here. So horrible neverrrr coming back not even for the spa. STAY AWAYYY
Great sunsets and cool pool area. The food is o.k., but the scenery is great. The best part about this place is that kids aren't allowed in the pool area. If you're looking for a nice and quiet spot to relax and enjoy the sunshine, this is it. I've been here a handful of times while I stayed at the hotel but you can also buy a guest pass. The weekends are fun and loud while the weekdays are a little more chill. The rooms are old and could use some updating, but I chose this place specifically for the pool area and the relaxed atmosphere.
Best relax Sunday in Miami with awesome music and atmosphere, real nice people and let's not forget the drinks and food, amazing water views watching the boats go by, just perfect Sunday
They did not make the room with the excuse that the hotel was full, I had to bathe with cold water, I did not close the bathroom door, they pass out as hippies but they charge it as good
So many things to say about this place, it's hard to know where to start. First, all of the facilities like the sauna, Turkish steam room and "musical shower" are co-ed. A tour of these open treatment areas was given by flipping through a photo album. I'm not kidding.
Once I was given the tiny robe, I was told to go down to the second floor to the women's locker room. The elevator is a very small, rickety old thing, and the walk to the locker room was surprisingly long. Even more surprising to see was a male janitor taking his time fixing a sink in the women's bathroom and, surprise, there were no private areas to change. I ended up going into the shower because it had a curtain. This is not a posh locker room either. It was very run down: peeling paint, rust spots, beat up boards, a broken shower head on the floor... I thought though, okay -- it must be a hell of a spa though for what they charge.
Back upstairs to wait in the "relaxation room." A bathroom-sized room with a grimy old couch, sharing space with yoga products for sale.
On to the massage.
After telling the attendant I thought the name of the person I chose was a woman, I was ushered into the massage room. The 60 (or 70?) year old man who massaged me chanted a lot. He also spent a lot of time adjusting the translucent sheet. I don't think I've ever wished that a 60-minute massage was over sooner! He seemed to enjoy it a lot more than I did.
For a $200+ massage I expected to feel relaxed and calm, not tense and completely ripped off. What's the deal, Standard?
The appeal of the Standard appears to be the pool area. Lots of cool model types walking around with one eye on the door. Hey, if that's your thing, this is the Chateau Marmont of Miami, as the passed-out college kids on the lobby couches will attest to. If you're looking for a high-end spa treatment don't let the high prices fool you. Try instead the spa at the Fountainbleau!
