I purchased a Crown Deep Cycle marine battery at Battery World last summer. Good price. Turned out to be in my opinion a piece of trash that had a good warranty if you didn't need it.
Actually the warranty was never explained to me, however Battery World was glad to take my money with a smile. Battery World now has their (Crown) battery back and my money. Make no wonder we buy China.

battery with 3 year warranty on the card, after having purchased it for necessity (holidays in Croatia) attracted by the price and the guarantee after about twenty days of use the battery does not give signs of life, they send me to the assistance and the operator declares that the battery is to be thrown back by the dealer where I had bought it I was given a new battery which, like the previous one, worked worse only one day (the assistance declared that the battery was short circuited). When I returned from the dealer I was told that the previous battery (he had been returned by the manufacturer declared fully efficient) is now without money and battery. At you the conclusions, the assistance declares a thing the house denies it, stay away from this mark for not being taken x pads with a fake warranty. For further clarification always to your disposal

I read some good reviews online BUT my experience so far is not so good. I talked to the sales person at my local store. They gave me incorrect information on using flooded batteries inside my RV. Owner confirmed this false information. They said I could safely use them inside without venting. The sales person quoted me twice then when I went to the store (driving 45 minutes each way, he changed the price. I called another dealer. They also said I was fine using them inside with out venting. It wasn't after I insisted 3 times to make sure that the lady asked someone else. Another sales person. Turns out they really didn't know. Sent me to call Crown directly. The sales people didn't know either and finally I got an engineer that told me I needed to vent. This is after I already bought the darn batteries and I had already planned the project without venting based on their recommendation.

I also asked the sales person I bought the batteries from. Do I need to add water? He said, no they are fine, they are new. They are maintenance free. Well, they aren't maintenance free as it turns out AND they needed water.

I was contacted by there Western District Sales Manager. I called, but he never responded. I guess that just supports what I have already seen in their customer service.

I just don't trust this company and they don't seem to know much. Especially the SAFETY aspects.

BE CAREFUL fellow buyers.

Maybe there is a reason more people buy other batteries.

Updated: So I think my review prompted the Western District Sales Manager to contact me. He already knew my story. Apparently, he was the one I talked to at the corporation and sent me to the engineer.

He apologized for all the mis-information the dealers had given me. He also apologized for terrible customer service I had received.

He offered to send me batteries I could use inside my RV. I told him I only had a few weeks before I had to leave on my long trip to Alaska. He said it would arrive in 3 days. So I accepted. Unfortunately, shipping took almost two weeks. I was able to receive them hours before I left on my trip. So I do appreciate the gesture.

I will upgrade my review from 3 to 4 stars.

The work there is not for everyone like all jobs it's had it's problems but the ones I will tell you about is in my first three weeks being hired in. I was not fully trained on my job and my supervisors call me into the office to have me sign a citation for not charging batteries. I took this as a wright up in training and even my trainer got written up for not training me properly. I seen this as super unprofessional and treated them as such as he was busy doing his job and I was trying to do mine with the little amount of training I got. The trainers would judge you based off of nothing and give up if they believed you wouldn't make the cut witch I saw multiple times over my year of employment there. This is not a union job but with the treatment from the team leader in that area they need to be because I heard a lot of negitive things before I was hired in about this person and found out the hard way.

Seeing I made the batteries there I ended up buying one for almost the same price as a customer who didn't work there so the discount was very little. The battery still works to this day but the person who made it has 20+ years experience in the job. They do treat there employees good during the holidays giving out about 150-200$ in food or gift cards also Christmas bonus was decent even with only three months under my belt at the time. If you made it this far reading the only reason I give it two stars and not one is the pay because you can potentially make 20$+ an hour with only six months in.
