Great location, superb staff, really good rooms and quality food

We have holidayed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi many times and decided to try a hotel we hadn't visited before - the St Regis on Saadiyat island. What a find

Right from the start it had a great feel, in a quiet, relaxing setting. Our room was well laid out and very comfortable. The hotel had a great beach and was only a short taxi ride to get to Abu Dhabi centre one way and Yas Island the other (we enjoyed Warner Brothers theme park). The Louvre on Saadiyat island was fantastic - a beautiful building, well laid out exhibitions and well worth the entrance fee.

There were only 3 restaurants in the hotel and one of those was being refurbished so we only had the choice of 2 - the main restaurant, Olea, was buffet style and Sontaya was a Thai based restaurant. We thought this might be limiting but it was not. The quality and variety in Olea was exceptional (with 3 themed nights per week - seafood, Arabic and Asian). All dishes were checked regularly and if they were not up to their very high standards then they were replaced. We dined 3 times at Sontaya during our 2 week stay, which speaks for itself - excellent food and very accommodating staff (even though we were on half board and had a restricted menu to choose from, they were happy to tweak dishes to cater for our taste and for our allergies).

I left the best to last - the staff. So many helpful and outstanding members of staff. It is so hard to single people out because we could easily mention just about all the staff with whom we came into contact (including Duty Manager Pia on the front desk) but there are some we have to mention. Our original butler Anthony and our replacement butler Alina - they felt like friends as much as employees of the hotel. In Olea all the staff were helpful without being smothering. A big mention to supervisor Waseem (for looking after our restricted dietary considerations), all the waiters but especially Alvin, Moustafa, Manish and Raheem and to all the chefs (picking out Rami - for making fresh Saj for us in the morning, I loved the cheese ones and my wife loved the herb ones - and Haresh).

We have some minor suggestions that would improve our stay but it feels wrong to mention them here as the hotel helped so much to give us one of the best holiday's we have had - we will be going back!

Good hotel, excellent service, delicious food, beautiful spacious beach, but! In the evening, children have absolutely nothing to do and nowhere to walk. The children's club closes at 19 hours, there is no playground on the territory.

Best for honeymoon and great for family

We chose the St Regis on Saadiyat Island for the first week of our Honeymoon and from the very moment that we were greeted by the front of house team upon our arrival we were made to feel incredibly special.
The hotel itself is magnificent, grand, opulent, stylish, large and yet it is incredibly tranquil, Every facility or service you could require is available. The hotel is immaculate, well maintained and kept incredibly clean inside and out.

Our room was large and luxurious with good views, we both thought that we had possibly the most relaxing week of our lives during our stay here.
The restaurants are beautiful, the food is excellent and the service is of the highest quality, eating here is a pleasure and a perfect way to start the evening.

Throughout our stay, every single member of staff we spoke to and liaised with were exceptionally professional, polite, competent and their main concern was ensuring that the guests were happy and that every request was fulfilled to the highest of standards.

Our personal concierge was Amit, an intelligent and charming man, who ensured that our stay was special, we didn t request any of the services available so every day he made sure that he spoke with us and throughout our stay he did lots of thoughtful, kind and sometimes funny things to ensure our stay was made even more special.

The front of house and security team is superb, professional, efficient yet friendly and accommodating, one of the lobby doormen is also named Amit, a very professional and calm guy that always makes the time to ensure that the guests are ok whilst still directing everything around him, he provided one of the most friendly and warm welcomes we have ever received to a hotel and throughout our stay he spoke with us every time we passed to see if everything was ok with our stay.

Throughout our stay, from the moment we were welcomed into the Hotel we felt safe, as we walked outside around the hotel complex we also felt safe, Abu Dhabi has relatively low crime rates anyway but the abundance of visible yet friendly and unimposing security staff around the hotel complex is reassuring, I have no doubts that if required they would be extremely competent.

We have stayed in many good hotels around the world but the management and staff at this St Regis have taken customer service and guest satisfaction to another level, the management and staff here have really focused on the guests experience, its not about ticking boxes, it s a far more personal level of service that s provided.

There are many good hotels all carrying 5 stars, This is not a good Hotel, its a great hotel, separated from the rest by superb customer service and amazing guest experience.

Clean rooms and very polite and even well-trained staff, the only flaw of the structure is that it is conceived in a confused way and unclear and the places are not easily accessible

Private dining is above standards! Feel free to make a request from the chef for something that is not available on the menu. The food here is delicious. The grounds are very well maintained. The staff are above par and sooooo friendly!

Offering direct access to its private beach on Saadiyat Island, this 5-star resort offers free WiFi and rooms with a private balcony. It features a spa centre and an indoor pool. Free parking is also available.

Checkin/checkout was very smooth experience, food was ok, rooms are comfy, showers water pressure is weak everywhere. Room service and pool services are good. However the major turn off is having "bookings" for pool cabanas with "minimum spenditure" rules for weekends and weekdays - No priority for hotel residents, although not thoroughly implemented the rule exists and they will deny you a space if you don't book in advance. All in all overpriced for what you get.

Luxury resort hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Luxury resort hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Ideal for a stay, both relaxing and cultural given the proximity to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and a few minutes from the center of the capital.
It has magnificent facilities and services, private beach, very spacious rooms with magnificent views.
Exclusive service at any time.
In short, the stay is for living, not for counting.

Top. Environment of other times, times when elegance and luxury went together, where the pomp was refined and not ostentatious. Superb service, comfort and tranquility. Low prices if you evaluate the choice of options available.

Our favourite resort in the world! Absolutly everything about it is perfection. Would give it more than 5 stars if i could. The service from reception, room service staff, the waiters, from everyone is impeccable. Standard rooms are not standard at all, they are our favourite rooms, with the coolest bathroom. The turn-down service is thoughtful. They have butler services, and they got us literally everything we required; One example is we were going somewhere that men needed to wear pants and closed shoes. We hadn't packed any so they provided us with some. There are 2 pool areas, the adults one is super fun. And the beach is perfect to relax on because there is no other resorts, buildings or anything in eye-sight, the beach just goes on and on, and it's only for St. Regis. I could go on and on about how amazing this resort is, but just trust me - you have to stay here.

I have been visiting this hotel regularly for the past 9 years and the experience is consistently superb. From the minute you step into the resort you are surrounded by the kindest and most professional staff, nothing is ever too much for them. Service is really what makes this hotel stand out from all other hotels in the UAE. I will choose this hotel over and over again when I need a perfect couple retreat.

Did a corporate event where we are given a room for our belongings, to stay and eat.

But what the supervisor did, came and ask everyone while eating to get out and leave the room because the vips are coming.

There's always a kind way to say it and everyone would have felt okay but no. She kicked us out and doesn't care where do we go and continue our food. She just said "i dont know, eat somewhere!" VERRRRRRYYYY RUDE!

What a disgusting attitude, zero manners at all.

Very disappointed.
