Due to the presentation on the Internet and recommendation of the agency, we were looking forward to the St. Regis, but were bitterly disappointed. The entire object (hotel, rooms, grounds ..) is very clean. Even the "simple" employees strive honestly, unfortunately, you can not say that of the senior staff. Right on the day of arrival we complained our room, as we feared that it was very loud and because of the location (near the kitchen) in the corridor smelled. Both confirmed, a re-quarters was not possible according to reception. Once we wanted to change a tee time at the adjacent golf course one day in advance (do not cancel!). The lady at the front desk did not even ask what we wanted to change. She did not bother to ask the Golf Secretariat. She just told us that it's too late for changes! She offered us but when we are ready to forfeit our booked green fee, i. To pay twice, our desired tea time would probably be possible. The same thing happened to the food. We had booked half board and only on site learned that this is only possible in the context of the daily buffet. At the premises, the food, etc. there is nothing to complain about. At the time but many small children were in the hotel and it is of course a bit noisy. We have understanding for that, but would have liked to resort to one of the other restaurants. We were also aware that this would probably be associated with additional costs. Accordingly, we asked again at the front desk. Again we got the information, that would only be possible, if we do without the already paid half board completely, and thus again fully pay. When we expressed our lack of understanding of the above "circumstances", we were assured that St. Regis regrets all this. It is the claim of St. Regis that every guest feels good and you do everything for it. Therefore, a senior executive should immediately take care of our concerns, and then get in touch with us personally. After nothing happened, we expressed our displeasure again, but again received no response.
Even today, with a certain distance, we can not explain this behavior!
The missed holiday joy, as well as the obviously wrong selection at the hotel makes us sad. We hope that this will be the exception for the future, and we are luckier with the next trips / hotels!

I had gone to this property with my family for EID vacations. We stayed in the Ocean Suite.
Service : Service is absolutely mind blowing and one of the nicest staff you'll come across
Food : We tried the breakfast buffet/Sontaya/Buddha Bar/Pool Bar and amazing food quality and service. Breakfast : Breakfast Buffet in OLEA has a lot of options and for people for each taste, you'll find something. Sontaya : It is very authentic Thai restaurant. Buddha Bar : We went there for a date night and amazing experience. good Service, gr8 food options; Sheesha and lovely music.
Room : We stayed in Ocean Suite and the space was perfect.. The butler service that they had was really helpful and maintained the property in top notch condition. Access on each floor is controlled by keys so good for security.
Gym : The gym is very well equipped and has a lap pool indoor as well which makes for a lovely setting. There is classes available that you can take
Shopping Area : Right in front of the property there is few restaurants and Spinneys, some local shopping options which is perfect so you are not missing onto options. No need to pay 20-30 dhs for bottle of water in the hotel, you can go get it for 2-3 dhs in Spinneys.
Spa : The Spa was the only disappointment for me and my wife. We had signed for a couple's massage. We appreciate that they had separate changing area's etc given the local culture; but even for the couple massage, there was not much privacy. We had chosen for scrub and massage and between the two treatments, we were suppose to take a shower to clean. The shower area was in the massage room only, and the ladies doing the massage decided to stand outside the door yapping away to glory...a little bit more attention to detail would help. My specific massage therapist was not very polite as normally I have seen across the world. Very loud.
Property : Amazing pools/ Beach Area /Golf all great.
Sandcastle : Special mention to the Sandcastle which is the kids club..it has special kids play area and specific kiddy pool..it was just perfect with our 3 year old enjoying. We even used there nanny service to look after our daughter in the kids club and my daughter was in love with the nanny...
If you are looking to get away from hustle bustle..have a relaxing vacation with your family/friends..and not have to travel too much away from Dubai/Abu Dhabi...I would highly rate this place.

Stunning high end beach resort. The beach here has to be one of the nicest in the UAE in my opinion. Twin that with a very nice 5 star hotel and you're on to a very nice resort. Good choice of bars, restaurants and even a Budda Bar on the beach. Some shops, external restaurants and a super market in the same complex too. A little expensive but you get what you pay for.

I stayed at the St Regis Saadyat Island in Dubai 2...
I stayed at the St Regis Saadyat Island in Dubai 24-27 December. Unfortunately the stay was a disaster for our family over Christmas and my wife's birthday on the 26th. These complaints were made to several of the staff and yet I have heard nothing back from the hotel management.
This just compounds my disgust at a supposed 5 star hotel.
So lets consider the hotel.
We were in room 686 if I remember rightly. The handbasin was cracked and the level of cleanliness very poor.
My personal preference is for a firmer mattress, when we requested this we had 2 wooden boards placed in the bed directly under the sheets, from the sublime to the ridiculous in one step.
If it had been cleaner it would have been more comfortable to sleep on the floor, needless to say we had the boards removed.
There is ingrained food under the tables on the breakfast terrace, not just from the day or the last couple of days but because the terrace does not appear to be clean.
The sunshade at the lower family pool we were given was very worn out and torn in places.... not a pleasant or functioning sun shade.
We booked a tennis court, we were asked to be at the reception 10 minutes early as they would drive us to the courts, at about 25 minutes past the time the cart came. Only because the valets were frantically trying to find someone in the hotel who could help. When we eventually got to the courts it was locked as it was a pool attendant who drove us there.
Can I remind you you are a very expensive 5* hotel and I do not expect this. I travel regularly and am a Marriott Platinum Elite member. (I did join SPG but do not expect to use this ever again)
Now lets consider the service.
We wrote to the Butler service and requested and extra bed for my 10 year old son, as well as specifying this at the booking. We had a positive response from the butler service. We reminded the lady on check in (Cammel?) and she said "No problems it will be taken care of at the time the beds are turned" and we went to Dinner returning late as it was xmas eve. The bed was not there, we called and someone came and made the couch up. Not what we ordered or expected (and were willing to pay for).
I got a letter demanding extra payment against my credit card, I do not expect to get this sort of demand after 1 day, either take more or trust your partners Elite Members to pay up... a slight on my honesty and a waste of my vacation time. Your front desk is elaborate but slow.
When at last it was time to check out I ordered a concierge to get my family's bags from the room, it never came and I had to rder another after the 90 minute check out process. I made the mistake of being honest and mentioned we had had a bottle of water from the fridge that night. The system then stared billing my credit card multiple times a minute for the 24 AED the water cost until I called the Duty Manager to stop this nonsense and help me get my bill and check out. It had taken the front desk 3 attempts to bill me by now.
I made these complaints to a number of people in the hotel including the restaurant manager about the state of cleanliness and to the from desk as soon as he asked "Did I have a nice stay" when I said "NO" and explained my dismay (I had not yet discovered his incompetence) he did not take any notice and just said "sorry he would take note, which he obviously didn't).
All in all a 1* stay for a 5* price. Unlikely to ever be repeated but certainly to be included on reviews.

Everytime we visit St. Regis Resort we are pleasantly surprised with the level of service. The Buttler department has always something nice to offer us and is readily available. The food at Olea restaurant is delicious and the staff, although busy, is courteous and helpful. The amenities are clean and the cleaners are responsible and responsive to feedback. The reception desk were always friendly and we, as loyal St. Regis hotel guests, were offered great room upgrades. Thank you!
The list is by far not complete, but we want to mention some people from the stuff for their service: Filip, Bassirou Bass, Alvin and Darch , waiters; Waseem and Anurag (restaurant managers) from Olea restaurant; butlers Suchil, Enrilyn, Cyril and Elisa; and the reception German manager Pia Rohde. I was a regular St. Regis Customer of their Friday brunch at Olea, frequently took my family when they visited the UAE and recommended to friends.
Even though in recent years the spread has grown less impressive, other Abu Dhabi brunches are more competitive and have better selection and service
I booked the Christmas brunch for my family of seven. Brunch was approximately 800 - 1000 Dhs per head and had to paid upfront.
Having worked in the industry I understand that this is necessary so that numbers can be confirmed.
On this occasion, my mother the week before Christmas was diagnosed with Bronchitis and had to be treated in hospital.
We contacted the restaurant two days before Christmas day and advised them that due to serious illness our party would now be 5 and requested a refund for the 2 non attending. We were asked to confirm in writing which we did.
On Christmas day the reservations manager greeted us and assured that this had been dealt with.
A week later we then received an email to say that we would not get the refund.
We replied to the reservations manager who had originally assured us that it was taken care of and were told to submit a medical note.
we said that yes we could do this and were told that it would now be raised to the F&B director.
After no response my mother contacted the director personally. The Director assured us that it was resolved that we would be reimbursed and apologized.
We reminded them over a month later when we still had not been refunded and received an email from the same Director stating that we would not be refunded?
Truly dreadful customer service.
Worse than a 1 star hotel
Firstly to take money for no service issued is a disgrace.
Secondly this should have been dealt with immediately as the hotel was informed well in advance so not to impact their numbers
Finally for several members of staff to be rude and to say that is had been dealt with and then to retract after is appalling
We will not be returning, we will advise others not to return
Truly the worst customer service that I have experienced here!
