It s very deceiving from the pictures. If your not a smoker don t come here . The smoke smell is overwhelming all over the casino. I ve stayed in much nicer rooms at Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn. They checked us into a room with a great view. Looking at a roof below our floor, back of another building and the big ugly heating /cooling units outside our window. What a view ! Any thing we ve stayed in on the strip is far superior to the South Point Casino Don t be fooled by the advertising.

Never stayed there but we always take the kids there to go bowling. They have great prices on movie tickets also. It is a little far away from the strip, but we always make the drive to take the kids bowling. I would stay there if it wasn't so far away from the strip. They always have plenty of parking and can accommodate any size vehicle even when they are busy. Easy access from the freeway and easy to get in and out of the parking lot.

Every service person I interacted with were pleasant, attentive, and happy to tend to my needs. The rooms are large, well appointed, and quite comfortable. For the size of this hotel, in the hotel floors, it was almost always quiet. The restaurants on the resort property have a vast array of great food options to accommodate a wide ranging taste preferences as well as price points between low cost fast food choice all the way to expensive fine dining.

The common areas and casino area are always kept neat and clean. The cleaning staff can be seen constantly cleaning. The entire resort looked clean and smelled clean, like using good quality disinfectant cleaning supplies.

This resort has earned my repeat business. I am treated well, I receive great services at an affordable price, and never feel like I'm inconveniencing someone nor do I feel like I might be getting ripped off when staying at this resort. And my significant other can't get enough of their Spa.

Need some pampering or desire a place to get away from it all...? Go to the South Point!

Best local hotel and casino off the strip. Casino is well taken care of and the rooms are suites. I also highly recommend their spa, Costa di Mare. It's one of the only couples spa in Vegas. Can't even tell you how much I loved it. Mt boyfriend and I got the sugar scrub spa package that included a fantastic massage. If you pay for a service you can use their spa all day. I am actually looking forward to going back to Vegas just so I can go to the spa here and play their fantastic wheel of fortune slots.

South Point is located at the beginning of the strip, away from the traffic and crowds. It has a great selection of activities besides gambling, there are movie theaters and it's close to the premium outlets, Town Square, the outlets in Primm and close to the airport. All the conveniences you would want and need.

The room is nice, pool is pretty and inviting, and the staff is friendly. My only issue is that the drinks are too expensive. Go to the shop inside the casino and buy your own liquor. $10 for a lemon drop martini, or $40 for two dozen or more.

South Point is an absolutely beautiful casino property. It has everything you could ask for from a casino and resort, equalling anything you might find on the strip itself. Friendly, professional staff, great casino, incredible rooms, and all the entertainment you can imagine!

I attended the Avengers Infinity War. The theater is easy to find. The movie was sold out. I found the seats got uncomfortable after a time and they are very close together. Not a lot of room to stretch out. Being at full capacity it got warm as well.

Had to be here for a conference, which lasted a few days. Large conference areas, which were great. Casino floor could use an update but liked the layout of everything. Rooms were very large and very reasonably priced. Drinks were inexpensive for being in Vegas, although seems they do not staff properly at the bars, as you are always trying to get the attention of the bartender for drinks. The cocktail ladies that walk the floor definitely need updated uniforms as they are NOT flattering and they look like they are trying to be a 70s playboy bunny.

Not your fancy Vegas hotel but will accommodate your needs. We stayed there since our flight was cancelled and the airline put us up here. The sink in our room backed up and was slow to drain.
Our friends also stayed in another room. Their bath tub also backed up.

Many entry points weather you are walking or driving. Tons of things to stay busy, bowling, movies, shows. Buffet weekend price was a little high for what you get. I used a members card to get a discount price and still felt that I over paid compared to other local buffets. Still gave 5 stars because of location...close to interstate for quick trips to the strip. Shopping is close....Walmart, Albertson's and Walgreens.

This place seems to be very nice especially for the Bass Pro Shops that's attached to it. Even though I'm not a really big Outdoors fan going in here walking around and seeing everything that they have sort of makes you want to become an outdoors person. When it is that I go here I always make sure to stop by the Bass Pro Shops

South point hotel and casino was off the strip but is a very good hotel with cheaper rooms compared to strip hotels. The room were nice and staff was friendly.Liked the casino .Hotel gave us coupons for BOGO buffet, 2 free drinks, free balling games inside the hotel and few more.Wanted to try the spa but was on a tight schedule so couldn't try out.
Free parking and wifi.
Buffet are quite cheaper than rest of the hotels, not too many options but still good.
They also have pickup and drop off options for airport and also for Grand Canyon tour pickup.
Would definitely visit here next time.

This is a great spot to visit if in Vegas. Always something to do plus with a movie theatre, late night bowling and rodeo arena. There is a massive parking lot (free) and free events like Christmas with Budweiser Clydesdales, rodeos and craft shows you can put away an afternoon with or without the kids here. Located off the strip, but there is enough to do that it doesn't matter.

The South Point Hotel is one of the better off strip hotels in Las Vegas. The location is really convenient as well. Right off I-15 and you will also be in the Silverado Ranch neighborhood which offers some dining and shopping as well.

I stayed at the South Point on 2 separate occassions during a recent vacation. Here's my take.

The bad.

LONG walk from parking lot! I was placed in a room at the end of the LONG hallway. At least 1/8 of a mile to get the room! **If you have any disabilities, please ask reservations to show you a map and make sure you room is near an elevator**

Air Quality: Its a casino...I know, but compared to other casinos the cigarette smell is horrible here. South Point should definitely consider better ventilation. I found it hard to breath personally.

As a Las Vegas native, I can definitely say that the time has come for the South Point to start planning for a renovation. It's starting to show its age. I would not recommend for small children due to air quality.

The Good.

Awesome variety of food. Awesome movie theater. Lots of table games. Awesome bowling center. Location and most importantly GREAT value for a mid weed stay.

First time here on July 7th... passing by. The casino's huge with LOTS of slot machines and a few tables..I only made it to the entrance. Very few ppl under the circumstances. Very clean, lots of purrel dispensers through out. Didn't take advantage of other amenities casino had to offer, but has a bowling alley, shakes, smoothies goody station. I will definitely return

The cocktail hostess that took drink orders would walk past me to go to white patrons playing slots and take their order then come back to me. She did it also when returning with drinks. It happened twice so yes it was intended. I will not be returning to Apartheid South point.

Went to go see the new movie with Tiffany haddish. Called Bosses I believe. It was such a good movie I enjoyed myself but I was so very disturbed by one of the ladies who worked at the movie theater. Older woman with grey hair. She was so rude and wouldnt allow me to order food unless and I showed her my movie ticket which I hadn't pair for yet. They ended up giving me my coffee for free cause they felt bad. I dont believe she was addressed on the situation tho. She also asked who I came with and made me point him out like I was a child. Very embarrassing. Made me think twice about advertising this casino on my tv show.

Went to South Point for "The Dirty at 12:30." It was great! The quality of comedy was better than shows I have had to pay for. I appreciate South points willingness to provide such a good free show.

It's incredibly smokey and a much older clientele here. You're more likely to find locals frequenting this hotel (and the Silverton) due to its location away from the main part of Las Vegas Blvd. The Steak n Shake is great for affordable food, but the wait can be painfully long on weekends. The buffet is horrendously tasteless and overpriced. You're going to run into cowboys and equestrians, as this hotel boasts the only real arena for rodeos and dressage shows in the area. The Italian restaurant is alright, though quite expensive. The theatre for Monday Night Football viewing is actually really fun, and there's plenty of giveaways and a great vibe.

What a crock of b******* this place was. First the rates I requoted online changed after I got here. There was no refrigerator in my room like the ad stated. I had to put down a $100 deposit which I was told at check-in would be fully refunded unless I spend anything which I didn't. When I checked out, it turns out there is a $21 a day Resort fee so even though I did nothing but sleep here it cost me an additional $63 . What b*******. I would not recommend any hotel casino in Vegas if this is how they make their money. I came here for a funeral and if I was not in the situation I ended up being in I would have thought everything here and stayed someplace else.

Great rooms.

Great rooms.
