My favorite hotel by far customer service is excellent and the grounds are always kept clean . Not to mention the 101 things they have for you to do there that isn't the typical gamble and I like that

Very nice that this hotel/casino has it's own full sized multi movie theaters and it's own bowling alley. The particular room I stayed in didn't have a refrigerator. Other rooms may have one but mine didn't.
The best place in Las Vegas. Good food, good prices, free parking. I even won a little cash! Best casino I've ever been in! Beautiful designed, clean, and no I am not related to anyone there, they are just that good!
I love this place and would give 5 stars except some employees are not super friendly. Sports book was friendly and great. Couldn't pick a pony all day, but had a great time. Mexican restaurant was great and reasonably priced. I don't really like the buffet here, but love the NY steak and eggs midnight to 6am for $4.95. Oyster bar has good seafood. Great place to watch a game get a good hot dog for $1.25 and cheap beers during games and of course free if you are making bets or gambling. I love the hot dog lady too. I also hit 4 queens for $100 and held a queen on the next hand and drew for the royal $1000. I guess I should give 5 stars, but I've had too much customer service training to give 5 stars for grumpy employees. Overall...I really recommend this place. Good values.
Excellent resort set apart from the general chaos of the strip. I was rather I'm pressed with the dining variety myself. A Cineplex, huge bowling alley, even a reasonable sized arcade. I, being a trucker, was particularly pleased with the available truck lot. Food at the Coronado was good and worth returning for in itself.
We had Thanksgiving dinner here it was really busy. But once in great service and the food was delicious. We had never ate this meal away from home before. So they did a fantastic job!
I gave it a 4...bcz of the ole skool look...yet better than some well known casinos on the strip...has a bowling alley and movie theater. We had competition that week and I was satisfied with the casinos look.
This place for me was like hitting a Jackpot!! Due to our plans falling through at another place nearby we stumbled on to South Point a few months back and took a chance .It was my sons birthday so I was hoping for a family friendly atmosphere with a few things the kids could do. We had been upgraded to a Suite and had PLENTY of room to fit the entire family. The rooms were HUGE and exceptionally clean. We all had so much fun. This place offers plenty to do without all of the hustle and bustle of the strip. We had complete entertainment without having to leave the property .We visited the bowling alley and a movie theatre but there are many other options to choose.I also noticed there wasn't an overkill of smoke in the casino area like so many other places I've been to unfortunately .We all loved it here and would definitely love to go there again! This is a perfect place to go with kids I highly highly recommend it.
Definitely one of my favorite locals casinos. Plus it has everything here. Best sportsbpok. Lots of tables. Machines, restaurants, movies, bowling, free parking, friendly staff. Nice rooms. Etc. . Love it.
I have friends that own a condo here. Whenever they come here and they're on their way back to California, they stop and have lunch with me at Southpoint. The restaurant / Cafe has excellent food and great service. I've been to this hotel / Casino for New Year's Eve last year and I'm going again this year. There's always a party going on New Year's Eve.
Great service and very warm. Strives to be a local favorite. The Silverado Steakhouse is a good steakhouse and should ask for Paul as your server when you done there.
Recently I was bothered by a mildly obese slot male host on the casino floor during the morning shift. Unfortunately I was unable to get his name. I will take my own money elsewhere when gambling.
Every year in August we reserve a 2 bedrooom suite. Each year the price increases but we do not see improvements to our accommodations. Same older furniture and same amenities. The accommodations are okay. The casino floor is vast but smokey and has an older feel. South Point offers many eating options. Entertainment is great for kids - bowling, outdoor pool, arcade, etc. For dinner, unless it is really late, we dine off property. We have found many better dining options off property.
They advertise steak and eggs for 5.00 on a sign by the freeway get there and tell me my kids cant eat at that price. Waste of time and money should be false advertising
Never coming to this place....ever. If you want to lose money, go ahead. Worst slots in Vegas and I do know..... Lived here for 15 years....rarely come here and now I know why. Rigged slots? Never again will I set foot in here.
South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa is about a 15 minute drive south of the strip. Because of that, the price to stay there tends to run less than a hotel of the same quality located on the strip. I also found that it wasn't as crowded. This is a great hotel for when you're traveling with children. The beds, sheets, and rooms felt comfortably clean. Wwe happened to stay during Thanksgiving, so at the buffet they offered your typical Thanksgiving fixings. At the buffet they have about 7 different stations: Seafood, Asian, Mexican, Italian, BBQ, Salad, and Desserts. At the BBQ station you could get a delicious, freshly cooked piece of turkey with a side of YUMMY mashed potatoes and gravy. There, you could also get a slice of tasty prime rib. My only complaint about the prime rib was that it was a bit over cooked for my liking and the server wouldn't ask what cut you wanted nor attempt to get the cut you asked for. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at South Point Hotel, Casino, & Spa and will most likely stay here again.
Big casino layout, you can get lost with all the slot choices. Good selection of table games. Restaurants are of a surprisingly good selection and quality and plenty of parking.
This place is worth a visit if only for the Steak 'n Shake located in the casino. There's also a hot dog cart and a nice coffee shop. Typical buffet, but give it a try.
I only stayed for one night and didn't get to take advantage of the facilities as much as I would've liked. as far as I could tell though, everything looked great. The hotel was well decorated, the rooms weren't lacking, the facade looked great, I don't have a single complaint
Great place to visit with family or friends. Multiple food venues are available for either carry out or sit down meals. Hotel and casino ate on site. Lots of free parking also available. Lots of fun to be had.
When in town I make sure I buy tickets to see the Motown review I love them and the acts that they add you do not know who they will have every time they perform they give the audience their best
Huge casino! I needed a map to navigate my way around. Unfortunately, like all the others we visited on the same trip, the payouts were small if at all.
Location of South Point was great. I went to see a movie last night. They have a bowling alley as well as multiple shops. The drinks on the casino were great and hit the spot. The rooms however were different. The rooms smell and the beds are very hard.
This hotel and casino is very clean. I enjoyed walking around and browsing around. The bowling alley is large and clean but the wait time on Friday nights is ridiculous.
Nice hotel and casino located at the far south end of the strip. The casino is rather bland as there is no real "theme" to the casino and it just feels like a large open hall. The hotel normally hosts bowling tournaments and horse events throughout the year. It's an easily accessible casino with plenty of bars, machines, and tables.
We ate at the cafeteria. It was decent. Food came quick and it was good. Gambled a little. The waitresses came around pretty regularly which is a good thing. Overall it's a nice, affordable place for locals. Will definitely be going back.
The smoking in this hotel was out if control and they clearly have a filtration system that is severely lacking. For being off of the strip I thought it would be a hidden gem, sadly, it should just stay hidden. Run down and tired are great descriptive words for this place. I would not come back.
The rooms are clean and elegant. The beds are comfortable! Staff are courteous and great customer service. From reception to housekeeping. Will definitely stay here again.
Great rooms off of the Las Vegas strip. Most of the hotels on the strip (for those who are not high rollers such as myself) the rooms are basic with a TV. Here at South Point the rooms also have a refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker with 4 coffee pods. The casino restaurants are excellent and you get coupons for free drinks. There is a Denny's right across the street and several gas stations too. Unlike most casinos South Point is more lighted and roomy. Valet parking is free and the staff are friendly.
Favorite spa in Vegas. One of two spas in vegas that offer a coed area with whirl pool and sauna. It's a nice benefit when you go with your significant other and want to be able to spend time together instead of apart when waiting for your treatments. My go to treatment is the goddess of the sun ritual and I would highly recommend it, worth every penny. Plus they offer a 20% discount to locals.
My wife & I have stayed four (4) times last 12 months at South Point Hotel. Staff Great!
ZENSHIN Sushi and Ramen was great. Young staff needs to comprehend that customers are the reason they are employed...smile and be more responsive. Owner visited our table. He asked suggestions. We advised some staff need customer service training!!!
Had fun in the pool area, very clean and the casino area was great. I won in a few $ just to have some fun. Definitely coming back becouse I to try the theater and the bowling for next time. Is like 14 min away from the strip , 10min or less from airport, dennys restaurant in walking distance; outlet are near and also wholesfood in driving distance
My husband and I love this hotel. It has everything in the hotel that we like to do. Bowling, movie theater and the buffet is very good. The rooms are nicely decorated, very comfortable and the staff are nice and let you know upfront about prices. We enjoy ourselves each time we stay.
Located just a few miles from M casino on boarder of Henderson-las Vegas. Clean hotel, spacious casino with an array of slots to choose from. Friendly staff and a good selectionn of restaurants to choose from. Large comedy club amid reasonably priced tickets.
The venue/arena we visited for the event was great! Plenty of seating and the place is versatile in that it is usually for PBR events but this time used for basketball games.
A bit of a surprise as it has a Las Vegas address, but is 4 miles south of the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. Much further along and it would be in Primm! As a venue it seems quite adequate. There is a good sized arena that seems to have something going on nearly every week. There is plenty of parking, inside and outside, and it's all free. The buffet is plentiful, the food is good. The rooms are comfortable and clean. As with anywhere else Monday - Thursday are the least expensive rates. So, work a weekend and then take a few days off.
Nice hotel, off the strip. Nice spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Nice amenities. In-house casino, restaurants, movie theater, bowling alley and more. And free parking is a big plus!
South Point is one of the best places to have the Las Vegas experience without the craziness of the strip. Good selection of tables and slots, just stay away from the buffet.
Stayed here for business. I liked that it was off the strip and out of town just a few miles. Very close to Mandalay Bay where you can take the free tram system into the strip.
I plan to take my family on vacation to this hotel.
Right next door to the Grandview Resort, huge game floor, thousands of machines to play, world's largest bowling alley has to buffets multiple bars, this place will definitely keep you entertained
