Absolutely in shock with this hotel. Today I was trying to get down to the pool where my service dog was. The evaluator door closes and it violently drops 2 or 3 times to the degree that it could have knocked me down. I waited a min and immediately tried to text or call my husband and had no cell service and wifi was not accessible. I opened the phone box with no phones in the elavator. I even tried to call 911and my cell didnt have service. I could feel an anxiety attack coming on. I pushed the call button, and they couldnt hear me, when I think he could he said we will look into it. I waited a bit still struggling to breathe and be able to see through my tears. I call again and the security guard said that they were on it. Some time pasted and I finally heard someone yelling to me me outside. Being that I was hyperventilating, it was hard to get the words out. Long story short.. they came in and gave me oxygen and kind to tell me to breathe but holding my breath for several seconds. Once they finally found my husband and I was able to take my medication, I walked up to the room and passed out, because that's what the meds do. Once awake we went downstairs to speak with the director Shelly
I have never been spoke to so rude, everything I said was met with an arguement. I said I was in there for 30 mins, and she immediately said well it was 19 mins. 19mins 30mins either way I encourage someone to have trouble breathing for either amount of time and see how well you can function. We told her that there was no phone in there and we were called a liar, so we went and took pics that there are no phone in the one I was stuck in or the other that we rode up on. I wish I could post the audio recording of the way she spoke with us. She says I'm being disrespectful to her and I wasnt hardly rude at all. She said something about compensating, and I told her this wasnt about compensation. I told her I was blown away at the way she was speaking to us and said you realize we could sue yall for all this, she then said by using the term sue, we wont compensate anything. That's great because we didn't ask you to. We have stayed here for years because of the PRCA, never again. I was fine till I spoke with Shelly, now they have another thing coming. All could have been settled with a small amount of courtesy and professionalism, that clearly South Point doesnt have. Unbelievable.

One star off for the smell of smoke, but I guess that is to be expected in a hotel / casino. Everything else was good and even electric vehicle charging on the third floor of the parking garage!

Car broke down and we were left in the desert at night for four hours by AAA. South point gave us a very reasonable rate at almost no notice. We arrived at 2am and were rushed through the front desk, shown to our rooms, and given a complimentary mini fridge for our travel meds. Everyone was extremely friendly and sympathetic to our exhaustion.

Its a nice little casino off of the strip. Everything you need is here from a gym, food, buffets, movie theater, rodeos, running in the surrounding neighborhoods, plus all the casino games you will find at every other casino. Nice option to consider if you're not interested in staying on the strip. The strip is only a 5 min cab ride away

I am extremely close to South Point, therefore, it is a place that we frequently visit. We usually get up n go to the buffet for breakfast after 1am. Last night, we went to play Bingo. The space is comfortably laid out for a full house. We go biweekly to bowl. Sometimes running into a problem when the leagues are playing. The bar location on the bowling area is not very convenient. U can't see any of the lanes comfortably. I really like the little hidden machines on the 2nd floor. I have seizures and don't like large crowds where people are extremely close and upstairs is perfect for me.

South Point is our favorite place to go to. We love the Cafe, have come to know some of the employees there. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. We think is a huge and wonderful reflection on Mr Muchael Gaughn. Thank you, so happy to have you all back.

We always have a great time at the South Point! We haven't stayed there because we are owners next door at the Grand View Resort. None the less, we are at South Point A lot! We can bowl there, see movies and at a VERY discounted rate! They have some great acts that come to entertain us and some really good eateries! Great Place!

Love the spacious atmosphere. I like moving around but love playing my favorite machines, that's why I enjoy gambling here. The game selection is vast and spread out through out the beautiful casino.

Stayed here on vacation, and couldn't be happier with our hotel choice! It is off the strip so it is away from all the hustle and bustle amd noise, but still has everything you need and want plus more! Plus it has a freefparking garage attached. The staff was friendly, and the room was gorgeous with a wonderful view. Very reasonable pricing as well. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a classy and relaxing stay at a Vegas hotel.

This hotel is a quite a way from Downtown or the Strip, but because of that, it's reasonable priced. The hotel is really huge and has everything you need inside (11 restaurants, cinema, bowling club, casinos, pool, spa, etc.). There's shuttle buses to everywhere, all you need to plan for is some time to get to where you want in Vegas. Altogether: Had a great stay.

I enjoyed my stay there more than I thought I would. We were in town for our nieces baseball tournament and loved having the chance of staying with all the girls. The bowling was also a great release of energy for all. The beds were hard but I am coming to find that this is standard at all hotels.

I met up for breakfast with a friend from out of town at the cafe. The food was delicious and service was great. I thought it was a little overpriced, but worth it to spend time with someone I haven't seen in years.

We were on the way home from a trip and stopped by to use the restroom. Our impression was okay, due to the very smokey atmosphere. The people there seemed to be enjoying themselves while watching the football game. If you like smokey casinos, you'll probably like this one.

The room was nice, was cleaned every day. The casino had plenty of options for gambling. Zenshin (the Asian restaurant) was very good - the buffet was about what I would expect a casino buffet to be.

I love South Point the suites are roomy, the comps are convenient and come in handy. The food is delicious, the servers are always there when you need a refresher. The slots have always been generous with me. There is not one area that is lacking. The room prices are reasonable too.
Good luck at the tables!

This locals casino is very far away from center strip. The rooms are relatively clean but not impressive in any way. They force you to walk a long way in the casino through banks of slot machines with your suitcase to get from the parking to the check in desk. I would not really recommend this property for gambling nor for their hotel.

HUGE!! This place is a beacon in the distant landscape and has all the same thrills you find on the main strip. Plenty of different venues inside can keep your entertainment needs pumped and blood rushing!

Classy Casual describes this hotel casino. Aside from a couple not so pleasant employees in the cafe, I am always struck by how nice staff is at this hotel/casino and the dining options available. With all the events held here and all the amenities for its guests, it's no wonder why this Casino/Hotel is a favorite place for visitors and locals alike.

We were looking for a way to avoid the 110 degree Aug. heat and decided to catch a movie. We chose the theater at South Point because it has those very comfy recliner seats. Score! Not knowing what to expect, I was really impressed with the entire place. The theater was clean and very comfortable, the casino was was nicely laid out (I m clearly not a casino connoisseur, but I would gamble here) and there were a variety of restaurants and non-gambling activities. I would definitely look into staying here next time i m In town visiting family. I only gave 4 stars because I can not speak to the hotel part of the casino.

Very pretty with an old school feel.... large restrooms tho water pressure could use some help.... valet parking and bell service complimentary when staying here which is great.... many things to do here, beauty salon,Spa, bowling, theatre, casino, etc..... they even provide coupons for your stay which helps a bit..... the only thing i will gripe about was the quality of the buffet breakfast... a few friends and i all ended up with a sour stomach from the food.

Great place to visit during the NFR or the world of roping or Barrel racing . the indoor Arenas are pretty cool. South Point is south of the strip which is good if you have a truck and trailer... you're away from the majority of the traffic drama. Stingiest slot machines I ever met. But the good food and nice people made up for it.

Nice hotel that is off the strip. Lots of locals go here. Plenty of free parking (also unlike the strip). The casino has a wide selection of restaurants to choose from. Steakhouse, Mexican, Italian, Sushi, Deli, etc..

Currently (during Covid-19), this has to be the best poker room in Vegas. Nice promos in the poker room and they've just installed plastic so tables are 8 handed. Several daily tournaments with reasonable rake.

With no food allowed currently in the poker room, I think it's unreasonable to only allow 10 minutes to be away from the table before chips are picked up - particularly if you're sitting at your preferred table/seat.
.
I made the suggestion of a little longer "dinner-break" policy to the poker manager (Troy), but I didn't feel he was very respectfully of my suggestion.

Excelente family friendly hotel, friendly staff, super clean facilities and something to do for the whole family. Bowling, arcade, pool and multiple restaurants. Downside is that is little far from the strip. The valet staff was awsome even on a busy Friday and even while they could operate normally because of a VIP (President Trump's) visited the hotel they managed to keep calm and help all the customers.

The place was full of smoke. Even my clothes up on my smoke free room smelled. They give you free wfi then charge you 14 dollars a day when you check out. Not minutes from the strip. Its 35 dollars each way in a taxi. Will never go there again.

About a $28 cab ride from Ceasar's Palace and you are in a beautiful and quiet venue that offers lodging, restaurants, and of course, gambling. It is a nice change of place from the strip, and it is where a lot of the locals go.
