We love this casino it has so much to do, shows, horses, movies, spa, etc... When we come to Vegas we always stay at the resort next door and we get coupons and specials for the South Point. Even though we always stay a week we normally don't go to any other casino because it has everything to entertain.

Room was comfortable but far from clean. Windows had not been cleaned in some time, inside or out. Bathroom shower had hair on walls and tub rim from previous guest. Pool area is nice.
I only went on a time share tour, but from what I saw, it looked like a cool hotel to stay in if I don't want to do the strip experience. I didn't like the fact that it's far from the strip but I loved the fact that it has a huge gaming room, bowling alley, movie theater, and events center. They happened to have a rodeo that day, which I enjoyed 100%. I'm curious to book a room there for a family trip since there are so many cool things to do there that are not as crazy as walking through the strip.
This Hotel Casino is beautiful. Great friendly service at check in. Room is spacious, up to date, well furnished and very clean. Casino has plenty of fun games. Waitresses walk around asking if you would like a drink. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Upstairs they having a theater, bowling and arcade. They have rodeos here. When we are in Vegas weather we are staying here or at our timeshare we come to South Point to play and have a meal.
I won several hundred dollars in moments of walking in the door!!! Everyone I was with won. The casino was clean and staff friendly. I enjoyed myself more here than anywhere I've been in Vegas.
Great Veterans Day Buffet. Thank you and the employees who were working really hard to keep up with the line. A compliment to your cooks also, the buffet was as good as always with a higher volume of traffic. Awesome job. Thank you again.
I Love my short stay can't wait 3 the next time in Vegas I'll definitely b staying their again n hopefully this this time a longer stay n not just a quite 2-4 days.
Nice casino but food was substandard. We were there for a week & tried almost all of the eating establishments in there but weren t impressed with any of them.
I stay at South Point every time that I go to Vegas and I've recommended it to others. The staff are friendly, it's clean, and it has everything you could possibly need in one hotel. However, my last two times I stayed there and especially this last one for my birthday during the week of 12/16/18.... The beds are not that comfortable like they use to be. I'm a little bummed out about that. I don't want to stay at another hotel for this small matter, but I might because I did not get no good sleep (I had body aches and pains some days). Maybe I'll try again in a few years or so to see if they upgraded the comfort of their beds. Nevertheless, that's the only issue I had. Everything else was great!
We ate at the Garden Buffet on a Saturday after seeing their menu board at the line opening. The menu board advertized their weekday pricing (tiny print saying that) so when 6 of us went to pay at $18 per person instead of $13 we were a bit disappointed. The buffet offering was mostly breakfast food. They had bottomless mimosas, but we don't drink, and prime rib. I would have rather gone somewhere else for that price point. Unsatisfied.
Really nice casino on south end of Vegas. Well designed casino with nicer hotel rooms and several restaurants/dining options. Casino table games are cheaper than strip options and slot machines are plentiful on property. Recommended for all people in Henderson area, tourists and locals who want high quality gaming with lots of dining options without crazy pricing. Wheel chair accessible with handicap parking.
Went to the bowling alley to attend a birthday party. The bowling alley is on the second floor, next to the movie theaters. The place was very nice and we were impressed with the service by the employees and the amenities there. We had a great time and will definitely be back again.
First time at South Pointe. Rooms are newly updated with vinyl plank flooring, and tile. They also provide slippers. Not dirty carpeting that looks clean, since Hotels/Motels do not clean the carpets after each stay. You know by looking at the surface they are clean. Rooms are nicely equipped, and elegant. Fridge, safe, coffee machine, make-up mirror with light for the ladies. It would be nice to have a microwave since they have fridges, no way to heat up the leftover food. I was supposed to have a view of the strip as the reservation desk indicated, instead a plain view of the casino roof top facing east. No big deal, I didnt complain, just wanted to get into my room when I finally got here. I stayed here for a week. Ate at the Big Sur Oyster Bar. The Jumbo Shrimp were huge and expensive at $6.00 per Shrimp. You get 3. Fish & Chips were excellent. Nice place to be if you want to be away from the main part of the strip's congested traffic.
Always love our experience at South Point. Clean room, friendly atmosphere, and so much to do for the kids (theater, game room, bowling), there is no need to leave the property!
The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, If I could give the staff 5 stars I would. The rooms are clean and spacious but no refrigerator, no microwave. Food prices were reasonable which was a plus, the hotel over all is well kept however they allow people to smoke all over the place. My eyes were red the entire time I was there in addition the hotel charges you an extra $21 dollars a night! They say its for amenities but its just a sham to get more money out of ya. I've been to Vegas 4 times and this by far was the most disappointing hotel I've ever stayed at. No shuttle to the strip ( they do offer a shuttle to and from the airport) , no daily complimentary shows, nothing. It's so far from everything mind you I only booked with them because of an expo we had there. I thought it would be more convenient, boy was I wrong.
We're locals, so for the most part we avoid the strip. South Point is one of our favorite close-to-home casinos. We love taking our toddler to the movies here because there's rarely a crowd. We also like to take family and friends here when they're in town because it's cheaper than the strip and we have better luck!
South point is a great casino for locals AND visitors! Great selection of slots and not stuffy like some other casino. I would 100% recommend this Casino to visit!
Interesting place. Convention center, bull riding competitions, car racing and more. Hot water was an issue in my room, and not walkable to the strip, but aside from that, it was good.
This was my second time staying at the South Point and I would highly recommend it to anyone! There is all the fun of being on the strip without having to step foot outside the resort. The food options are awesome, the movie theater and bowling alley will keep you entertained while you're not in the casino, the pool and spa are beautiful, and the rooms are roomy and comfortable.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fantastic amenities. Bowling, movie theaters, free parking, low resort fee fantastic pool, and an abundance of restaurants and inexpensive buffet.
Huge casino more slots here than most of time big strip casinos only drawback was there is literally only 2 Cleopatra keno machines out of the hundreds of games here crazy! Decent payouts though on most everything here!
If you want a nice hotel off the strip but still on the strip but away from that hustle oh, it's a great place. We were here for an archery competition and is a great place to stay as well as everything else going on.
Room is spacious and elegant. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom has alot of counter space. Alot of lighting and electrical outlets. No mini fridge or microwave in room. Air con works great. Casino has alot of reasonable and affordable places to eat. Large gift shop, airport shuttle available. Enjoyed our stay at South Point Hotel. Will definitely stay here again.
South point is my favorite local casino by far. They have the best video poker payouts and tons of machines. Bowling alley is great, bingo is great. Full double odds in craps is retarded, not sure what Gaughn is thinking there. 3-4-5x is standard on the strip, I'm sure he is losing some players because of it.
All in one place to enjoy all the amenities for all ages here. Bowling alley, arcade and a barber shop. On top of the casino! Great time and date pricing for the rooms.
We visited South Point for a movie after a Thanksgiving dinner. The location was very well kept and inviting. The only compliant was that the bar/beverage area seemed a little disorganized and to quite a while to get our order. The theater was comfortable if just a little small.
We had dinner at Don Vito's and it was five star all the way service wine food was excellent! Then we went to see Bob Anderson on the show was over the top he is such a fabulous performer! We went after the show to the lounge bar to get a drink and it was also excellent evening was a huge success
Its one of my favorite casinos in vages esspecially because its not to close to the strip which can be annoying but all my experienced in south point have been exellent and i will continue going their in the future.
The staff was friendly. The bowling stadium was nice. Our room was clean but a little dated. There was no refrigerator in the room. That was disappointing. Overall, though, we had a great stay.
I can say the baked potato was good. Other than that, was very disappointed. For an upscale price of $59 per steak, it was shameful. Honestly, we should have left right after we got there. We stood waiting with no host for someone to seat us (we had reservations). Waiters would walk by look at us and keep about their business pretending to not see us. Finally, as I'm about to ask, we're told, "she's on her way" by a gentleman across the restaurant. 5 mins later we're seated by someone. Immediately, they take my drink order, leave, and ignore my husband. He had to ask a different waiter to order a drink. Our bread arrives and its old. I mean VERY old. You cant cut it and its dry and hard to about half an inch into the inside. Politely, we asked for a new basket as these were old and hard. They came back with what seemed like the same basket after tossing it in a steamer. The bread was hot and wet; totally inedible. We ordered our med-rare steaks at that point. Our salads come out and the lettuce also VERY old and close to wilted. The house dressing was very good and whomever made it, got the oil and vinegar to emulsify very well. However, the salad was cut very thin and was hard to eat. Think of the thin-cut size lettuce on a McDonald's burger and you'd be on the money. Our steaks came out at med-well. My hubby says the hell with it and eats his. I decided at $59 I was going to have a correct steak. I sent it back and new one came back a little charred on the outside with a cold-raw inside as if someone said, "here take that for complaining!" I decided to just eat my potato and cancel the steak as it took so long my husband had already finished his entire meal. I was VERY disappointed. I expect that from Applebee's not from an upscale steak restaurant. There was so much more I could comment on like the mid 70's styled dark decor, the laxidasical attitude of the wait staff, or their serving style. Like I said, the potato was good. LOL Just not anything else.
The food is great. The buffet is amazing, and not too expensive. Event center is also great. Lots of events- horses, bull riding, and other animal events.
Went here for the Cowboy Christmas and that was pretty neat! Got my horse a nice halter and got to see a bunch of stuff. Casino itself is nice had some awesome sushi. Free parking!! So that's nice. The steak place in their is super awesome too. They have a theater here as well
Strip style place without Strip prices. A little loose with social distancing practices if that's important to someone. A great choice for anyone looking for a deal.
It's easily accessible from the freeway. It's family-oriented. With a variety of activities to either do with the small group or large group. Multiple meeting rooms for any size meeting clean. Pleasant gambling experience. Excellent rooms. And room service. All the restaurants are extremely delicious especially Michael's Gourmet room. Thank you Kathleen Horwitz
