Snapper Inn is one of my favorite restaurants on LI. The food is great, there are sensational views of the Connetquot River. But food is a bit expensive. Also the place can get very crowded, so make a reservation, early in advance.

Excellent location on the Connetquot River with a lawn to spread out on, boat slips, and panoramic views. A Sunday brunch, fun appetizers, oysters, and some of the best clam chowder make the Snapper Inn and enjoyable experience.

Ugh, this freaking place. Was taken here for my birthday. I love seafood and to be honest the food wasn't horrible it wasn't anything to write home about either but what really irked me was the complete lack of service. It was not busy at all yet our server was occupied getting ready for the dinner rush therefore ignoring us. I will never go back. There's better restaurants out there within better servers. Lackluster place on all fronts.

Outdoor seating by the water. Great menu. No complaints.

Plastic cups. Disposable menus. Cloth napkins. Normal silverware.

If you like sea food and waterfront dining this is a great spot. I attended a beautiful outdoor wedding here. The service was great and the seafood was outstanding. All the food was excellent, i just can not express how fresh and delicious the seafood here was. Go try it and find out for yourself! If you took the time to read my review and found it helpful please click the thumbs up and give it a lil like. Thank you

Totally enjoyed our dining experience.the calamari was delicious. The greek salad had a fantastic light dressing on it which made the salad taste soft for a lack.of a better word.
my daughter and husband had the salmon and i had the skirt steak .we were Leary at first with the accompaniments on it ( salsa type stuff)
but it turned out to be one of the best meals we've had in a long time..
our compliments to the chef AND staff.
We shall return !!

The Snapper Inn was absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere, food and service was excellent! We were a party of 15 in a private room. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed every delicious plate that came out!
Thanks to the chefs and servers for a wonderful night!

It was lunch with a friend. It was beyond fabulous. Everything from the wine, the mussels, the broiled seafood platter to the cappuccino was perfect. The waiter was also attentive and terrific. Great restaurant.

Place is crowded to say the least. Went there for a shower and had to use same buffet room as the dining side. That was a turnoff for me. Very tight room next to a bar for the shower. Not the best lay out ir serving situation.

We went today to the Thanksgivings Special dinner. I had the Turkey dinner.
The baked clams were 95 percent bread and were horrible.
The Turkey was horrible lacking in taste and moisture. The gravy was also uninspiring, reminiscent of canned gravy.
The stuffing was lacking spices and taste.
Definitely not worth the $67.

Just went to the "new" , post Covid 19 Snapper Inn. Couldn't be more pleased. Because their waterfront property is so expansive there is lots of outdoor seating with tables far more than 6 feet apart. The food was delicious and the view is one of the best anywhere. Every table is water view. They even have Adirondack chairs along the bulkhead to sit and watch the boats go by. Great food, great drinks, friendly and attentive staff all wearing masks. I can finally go out!!

This was our second time at The Snapper In (both private event) and we really liked it. Even during Covid restrictions staff is fantastic and manager came over to check on us which is rare during private catering events. Nice touch.

The atmosphere is amazing. But disappointed for amount of food not GENEROUS at all. On top of that I got a martini at end of dinner, what a joke they put it in 4inch plastic cup I only got 3 sips out if plastic cup and to think I spent 16 dollars on it. Now this is not a five star or even 4 star. WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR IS THE VIEW.

Why only three stars? Way, way overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. $70 per person flat rate for Mothers Day. Talk about capitalism.Salad was limp and sparse (field greens with 2 halves of a cherry tomato) Three shrimp in a shrimp cocktail?? Decent size protein on my plate with 4 (FOUR) green beans. Dessert? A 1 slice of cake! I am a long time patron, but they seriously failed with this holiday. I would have given less stars, but have given three because the service and atmosphere were top notch.

Great location and I'll always come back due to nostalgia. It's time to up the food game folks. Lobster was over cooked, oysters Rockefeller were a little tough. 1 server on staff for a dozen tables on Seafood night. Looking forward to summer!

Superior food with a great view. Love coming for Happy Hour - specials and a sunset depending on the time of the year. Had dinner recently and the food was excellent, the service was first rate and the atmosphere super. The wine list is a bit pricey for what it is. For those prices the quality should be higher. Parking is readily available with no problem.

The location, sight, and restaurant are awesome! Food was good, but service not that good. I honestly think the staff needs to be better trained on how to serve and remove plates as they were rushing all the time and getting on the way of the conversation. I would not mind this at the mom-and-pop restaurant around the corner, but not in a high-end place like this. In my opinion, this is something management should put more attention to, as this really demotes the place and experience.

wonderful!!! the staff was great! the food was excellent. there where 18 of us. we had the tradition thanksgiving dinner, turkey cut at the table by staff, all the food was placed on table like it would be at home. we where all a little worried about it since it was a first for us to try dinner outside of our homes. but as far as the service, quality of food, and ambiance it was worth every penny. not something i could do every year. but definitely something i could do every couple of years as a break from planing, cooking, and cleaning. best part was we got to take all the leftovers from the turkey and sides.

Went for lunch last week - party of 4.
AWFUL! Stale bread, soggy crackers to start. Waiter was in left field ... had to look at menu to understand what we were ordering.... Brussel sprout appetizer soggy, cold, loaded with minced garlic out of a jar ... awful .... sandwiches and wraps were bland with cold fries right out of a bag. Salads with shrimp was warm lettuce right out of the bag, limited items other than warm lettuce and shrimp cooked just ok .

Service was awful . Everything took forever .. Really bad . Nice location . Awful food and service . No kidding ---- really bad -----
