Very recently we hady sons communion at the snapper in. Even booking this place and getting a straight answer was a problem. Each manager told us something different. The biggest problem we faced was during the party out Dj was told to stop music at 4 pm. We had party from 1 to 5 or so we were told. My Dj was told again at 415 to stop music. My son was visibly upset and crying At the same time there was a wedding to be performed right outside and the Dj would have disturbed the Ceremony. After all guest left my wife still receiving the run around I asked them to email contract which they did. Funny thing. On there contract stated party was from 1 to 4. However comparing to my contract the area was blank . So basically someone covered there ass by writing it in. I notified josh the manager about this and he would notify the owner . I'm sure they will claim I altered my copy but I we all know the truth. The one bright spot was the wait staff was incredible If you are going to book this place make sure every single thing is in writing . Not a reliable trustworthy place It's all about the money.

we have been coming to the Snapper Inn for the last 45 years. My parents before that. We came for an early dinner on Saturday. ( 4adults and 2 children). The help seemed a little distracted.. The restaurant did not appear to be overly crowded. Our waiter was friendly enough, but there was at least a half hour/ 45 minutes between appetizers and entree. I finally approached Josh and explained to him what was happening. Josh was very helpful and checked on dinner for me. Within minutes it was served. However, one of the dinners did not come out. Josh apologized and brought out the long awaited dinner at no charge..
as a P.S. one of the appetiziers, oysters rockefeller came out with breading on them not the traditional spinach and cheese. We were very disappointed in the service and the food. Not up to your usual standards. Thanks to Josh it was not a total loss. We will come back and try again but thought you'd like to know about this experience. loyal customer.

My all time favorite place to go for anything from a drink to a snack to a celebration of life's milestone. Great menu, generous portions, friendly staff, beautiful view and the chef is a personal favorite. You can go dressy but it is a casual place with seating and bars both in and out. There's good reason why it is still crushing it after 90 years.

Beautiful place! Bad service! Terrible food! Prices so high for the food they serve. We order the seafood combination that didn t have lobster that it was supposed to, chicken dish didn t have prosciutto that it was supposed to, never mind the cocktails ... waste of money! Pizza places serve better food.

Lovely scenery and a wonderful outdoor area. We were here for a brunch birthday celebration with a fairly large group and while the food was decent, it was nothing mindblowing or amazing. It was in fact rather limited for a brunch and seemed like they had way too many people for so few trays of food. Luckily we all ate before another group arrived because they were on a line that was wrapped around the room. Service was ok, a bit slow and confused, they also had issues with the check and tip, which we were told was included, then it was not. However the bar area outside made up for any deficiencies inside for sure. What a view and the service out there was outstanding! Gorgeous dock area.

We had not visited the Snapper Inn in more than a few years and were sorry we had not visited in so long. Our waiter, Rosario, was attentive, courteous and professional. A party of six, we were there to celebrate our good health and happiness. Each of us (with the exception of appetizers) ordered completely different entrees and not one of us was disappointed. The seafood dishes were exceptional; the steaks so tender and delicious, a knife was not needed. Manager, Josh, visited our table and we made sure we expressed our delight. We will not stay away from the Snapper Inn as long as we have. Everything was superb. Nice to be treated and served as well we were.

We went to brunch on Sunday. The food was good, but there was not enough of it to feed their guests. They did not fill the pans quickly enough. At one point, nearly every tray was completely empty.

I had my sister-in-laws baby shower there a few years ago. The food was fantastic. Every staff member (from manager to waiter) was very pleasant and helpful. It's a beautiful atmosphere and view; very warm and inviting. Even on their busiest day you don't feel rushed or the "hustle and bustle" of everything. The staff keeps everything running smoothly. Just a few days ago I had brunch there with two friends to show them the Snapper Inn and they fell in love, so we are having our friend's bridal shower there as well. :) I have zero complaints and would not change a thing! :)

I have been going to Snapper Inn for years and their beautiful venue on the water provides spectacular views of the river. I love dining or enjoying a cocktail outside and just enjoying the atmosphere. Their food is delicious and on par with their surroundings.

Everything Snapper Inn had to offer us sounded gre...

Everything Snapper Inn had to offer us sounded great but in actually wasn't. For instance,
1) they told us that our wedding cake was included. When we got to the bakery, the bakery told us only a plain sheet cake was included. We ended up shelling out an extra $700 to have a 4 tier cake with some shells added.
2) they told us that our centerpieces were included. When I got to the florist I ended up finding out that only $15 dollars for each centerpiece was allowed. I told the florist that I wanted to make sure my centerpieces were no more than $20 so this way we didn't have to pay more than $5 for a centerpiece. Two days before the wedding the florist called me and told me that my centerpieces were $55 each and I had to pay her $900 or my flowers wouldn't be there, including my bouquets and bouteniers which I had ALREADY paid over $500 for. After all of that, the florist completely screwed up my bouquet of flowers and my centerpieces were delivered 15 minutes AFTER the reception already started.
3) Snapper Inn promised us that we would be the only event that day all the way up till the day before the wedding and that we would have use of the entire lawn. The day of the wedding they had 3 other parties going on and they kept telling our guests that they weren't allowed to be in certain places.

Some of our friends have offered to take us there for our one year anniversary this August, but I don't think I would ever give them my business again.

The pancake station is a joke, waited 30 minutes for 1 pancake. The kid could only make i item at a time. He also used the same spatula to cook eggs and pancakes. He wiped it with a cloth in between the orders. Where is the management watching this. Its not my job to complain. I wont be back.

There are too few good seafood restaurants on Long Island. This one really stands out. Food, service, atmosphere all add up to a great place to eat. Had a broiled seafood platter at lunch, and it was served perfectly cooked. Too often places overcook their seafood. Here they respect that a minute too much can ruin a dish. Kudos!

I can't say one negative thing about this place. The food was excellent as was the service. It was a beautiful day to be able to eat outside with friends. I had the Mahi Mahi taco and it couldn't have been more enjoyable. I'm trying to support local restaurants during this pandemic so I'm
definitely going to make this place a weekly event.
Very highly recommended.

Spent our Saturday on the Connetquot River and decided to get dinner on the boat at 5pm yesterday. We also invited friends with another boat. Upon pulling up to the Restaurant we were told it s $75 to dock to eat today. There were no other boats there and we were going to be there for an hour. Not only did you lose our business but we watched another boat leave as well when they were told $75. Instead we all went 2 minutes away to the View and spent $500 and NO DOCKiNG Fee To eat dinner. I get your business struggled during the pandemic but your 1st week back open and we tried to support outdoor dining you lost endless business and our future business over an absurd $75 docking fee at 5pm
