The view outside of the city was the best part. More interesting than the art inside
Amazing art collection ! Lots to see. A great place to spend the day. Highly recommend
Beautiful place to visit. Interesting permanent exhibits and gardens.
The auditorium should have handrails for every aisle for safety.
Had a good time, nice afternoon event... Beautiful place.
Love art...you'll probably for at least one exhibit or department that will trigger you happily.
Love architecture...this place is arguably fantastic for the views and stone alone.
Want to catch your breath and chill with a friend over lunch...go here.
Angelinos are lucky to have this place.
Omg! I was amazed by the beauty of this place! Such a great museum to visit. Family friendly!
Great place for all ages. Indoor and outdoor facilities.
Free entry, stunning views and a decent collection of art.
Awesome place! Hard to see everything in one day. Will be back soon.
So beautiful. It's a gem in Los Angeles. Go and leave your car at home.
Visiting The Getty is definitely worth it! The admission is free aside from $20 parking which can be split amongst your group if you carpool. The outdoor areas are so peaceful and beautiful with a great view of the city. I recommend bringing food and having a picnic as there are lots of places to sit at tables or on grass. And of course the art exhibits are a lot of fun too!
A museum unsurpassed by any other in the US. It's location, design, art, and landscaping is breathtaking.
Always a great place to visit - not just for the art. Great views, summer programs and very good tours
Beautiful artwork, stunning grounds, fantastic views and a very nice cafe.
So large it's kinda overwhelming. Amazing architecture and cool art. Lots of tours all the time.
They have a whole exit of child pornography apparently if it's at a museum it's leagel
It's amazing! Tons of fantastic art work and just an all around nice place!
I have been to some pretty amazing museums and galleries, however the Getty really blows them out of the water! The views are spectacular and the property is sprawling, covered with lovely sculptures, gardens and back dropped by killer architecture.
Best of all it's FREE! I can't wait to go back.
Free admission. Parking is $15. Keep the receipt if you want free same-day parking at the Getty Villa.
One of the best things I saw in LA and it's free. Tricky to get there on the buss. But uber is easy too
Beautiful gardens, walkways, and indoor art exhibits. There is also some of the best views in LA from numerous balconies. This is a great place to spend a day walking around. The winding pathways through the gardens are magical, and there are so many classic pieces of art work indoors. Beautiful pools of water as well.
A must when in Los Angeles. Be prepared to spend the day there. Small budget tip: bring your own food to enjoy a nice picnic in the gardens. The restaurant offer is pretty good, but not cheap. The centre is free-entrance, but people have to access by car (20$ all-day fee) or public transport.
I love everything that I saw and specially the flowers all the garden its really nice hope come back soon
It was a school trip with 2nd graders. Not fun it was hurried the volunteer stood 7 or 8 year old boys and girls in front of a naked statue
Its amazing and the price is right. FREE...But parking is $15.
Very happy to have experienced viewing what the Getty has to offer. Highly recommended. Very good art and welcoming and courteous staff.
Plan a full day to explore it all. Words can't describe how much fun we had.
Really great museum. Everything is first class. Love the architecture. The gardens alone are worth the trip. So much to see and experience. Go.
Spectacular setting on a hill with 360 degree views. Amazing white stone architecture gleams in the sunlight. An excellent art collection with some big-name artists. Impressionist collection especially impressive.
One of the highlights of our trip. Tour was excellent. Our docent was very knowledgeable. Great views of LA
Great views! Free, $15 to park. Amazing collection of art.
Amazing museum, I went here for extra credit for Art History this past Spring and I found nice artwork of Jesus and all the Greek artwork I was looking for. Unfortunately they only have a small section of Greek sculptures and barely any Roman sculptures and you have to visit the other center in order to see them. It was a great experience but it poured that day so I didn t see more art. I like it and will visit again.
Wonderful place just to relax. Free parking for the first hour. $5. Parking discount after 3pm. Otherwise $15. Pay machines. No cash necessary.
Amazing architecture, sparks inspiration just as it intended.
I loved the beautiful art and sculpture plus the garden,s and building structure.
Stunning views, incredible architecture. The art collection is impressive.
On vacation. This was one of my "must see" spots on my lists of things to do. Loved it! The view from the top of the mountain, the multiple buildings filled with exhibits, the outdoor sculptures! Everything was fabulous!
Breath-taking architecture, grounds, and view of the city. A relaxing way to spend the afternoon.
Loved it and recommended it but not the Gene Autry Museum
Remarkable architecture, landscape, art. Even the food delighted us on our visit!
. Come early to spend whole day. Awesome place, free to enter, parking is 20$ ., Restaurants didn't work Thursday afternoon
The Getty is a treat from outside to inside. The permanent and new exhibits are superb. The gardens are also wonderful in the CA winter. Come early and stay late. In fact come often and linger with a few of your favorite pieces.
Beautiful premises and gardens. The different exhibits are well curated and interesting. The Manet exhibit is particularly lovely. It offers great views of LA and the sunset.
Beautiful, rare art and easy to get to, especially via Transit.
Is free to get into but it will cost you $15 of you arrive before 3:00 or $10 after. The best part of the Getty for me was the building and it's location. A fantastic set of spaces. The view of the city and surrounds is not to be missed and the outdoor garden and pool is a very popular but restful place. The at itself will depend on when you go there. When we where there it was ok. Only a few things made me go "wow". Thus place is well worth a visit.
Free admission, cool exhibits and beautiful gardens.
A great place to visit on a budget. First, the parking is $15 but there is no admission fee. We took the tram up to the museum, which was actually pretty quick. We had lunch, which was delicious but a little pricey ($15 for a tasty, pre-made salad). The view is spectacular and you can't beat the art exhibits for the (free admission) price.
Just the buildings, grounds and view were worth the trip. The art and sculptures were like icing on top. Great cafe as well.
Beautiful museum, I was nicely suprise by a Caravaggio exhibit that was here during our visit. This has to be one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever visited.
I love the Getty! Unfortunately, the weather was a bit rainy and misty but I would def go again. They have sculptures, paintings, special exhibitions, and more. Parking was about $15 and the tram was free. Also, they have umbrellas set up around the facility that one can borrow and return.
Apparently there's a kids room for them to stay in while the adults enjoy the art! Wish I knew this when we started the tour... Oh well, next time!
I am from New York in typically Ian used to paying and entrance fee however there was no entrance fee and there is so much to see it was well organized and the grounds around the area were beautifully maintained and so tranquil.
Not as big as I was expecting - but everything was of such high quality! It was hard to move fast through any rooms, since there was a masterpiece in almost every one!
Really great collections of all types of arts. Get a map of the place when u arrive and see what's on exhibit.
Fabulous venue. Other than the art on display the location and architecture of The Getty is reason alone to go there. Entry to the museum itself if free you just pay for parking. It will take more than 3-4 hours to park, get to the museum do a quick round and leave. So budget your time accordingly. Must see if u are in LA.
Absolutely stunning. Amazing Garden. Don't try to see everything in one day. There's just too much to take in
You can skip LA and just go here. Beautiful garden and art. You should just see it
The walk up on the road and the gardens put you in the perfect t mood to soak u the lovely but eurocentric art
Art, Culture, and more, a lot to take in for just 1 day
trees, sculptures.. everything was so cool and fine. you should visit here.
Amazing spot, lovely architecture and very nice exhibitions
Just for the view you get from the getty it is totally worth it
Panoramic views of LA and Santa Monica. Beautiful architecture.
Super long line to get on tram if you go before 3 but worth it!
beautiful structures and grand view to L.A, above all central garden.
Exceptional. Especially enjoyed the Turner exhibit. All the staff is friendly and grounds well maintained. Be sure to take the audio tour, very informative.
Grat place for art lovers and history explorers. Just go there and enjoy!
always a fun time when coming here. I can just stay here all day and learn about their different types of art and where it came from. It is incredible all the history of art this museum holds. and it doesn't hurt its freeee
Beautiful, just beautiful, if you can, take public transportation and avoid driving or ride share.
All the exhibits a really interesting and the museum its self is beautiful
Hard to find your way around at first, but really, really cool.
Awesome place with great views. Lots to see if you are into art/history museums. The property has multiple buildings, food is a bit overpriced there. The museum entrance is free, you just have to pay $15 for parking.
