There is just to much to see for 2 hours. At least 4 hours or 1/2 day to appreciate the works. Free admission is always a plus . You can also borrow audio guides for free. Such a beautiful museum, big grounds. Free train ride is a nice touch for a feeling of being transported into a world of art.

The Getty is very big museum garden that have the beautiful antique & painting. We also can see the nice view in LA, and have a panic in the rest area. So relaxing and comfortable place! Don t miss it!

I can't rate anyhow differently. Though, I do agree with a lot of people saying the art guards are terrible (don't you see the line? Bow-wow, do NOT cross the line! Woof woof) But I wanna say it's everywhere around the world! How interesting. Maybe there are special "hatred schools" for art guards? I suppose so. If to forget about these grumpy guys, I can say I'd come here again. Why not? Tremendous LA downtown view, nice nature and good (almost clean) air. Ahhh. What a lovely day.

A large museum that is beautiful in all directions. The art on the walls, the sculptures, the gardens, and the buildings themselves are all works of art. While the museum is free, parking is $18 so it is more cost effective to drive with a bunch of people if possible. The rotating exibits and the perminent were diverse, but still flowed together cohesively based on their relative position to other exibits. It would take several days to see all the galleries well, but the work is exquisite.

A really large complex. The layout is a little confusing. Lots of floors to contend with. Beautiful location, beautiful views. Extremely clean. The tram is great solution to transport visitors from parking to museum. Great place to chill on a good day. The food is extremely expensive. My average lunch was $30.00 and it was a half sandwich, chips, fruit, and tea.

I love this place, just by architecture and view would be enough....but it has actually a lot more to be seen and experienced. Set the whole day if you like art. LA s must go place for sure!

Museum is free. Parking is cheap and there is a tram up to the museum. Very beautiful and old art works. So much to look at. Some of the best views ive seen in the city. You can see downtown and the ocean from up there.

Perfect place. With or without children. They have family room for kids. I really do love the place and appreciate all efforts behind it. Always they have something new and exciting.

Not only does the campus offer views of priceless works of art, but the campus itself is a masterpiece of modern architecture. Enjoy a shuttle ride up to the premises and plan to spend hours in the exhibits, garden, and atrium areas.

Somehow we always end up at an art museum while on vacation. This one was well worth it and much more than just an art museum! We didn't get to see everything we wanted to and will have to plan a trip back soon! It seemed like everywhere you turned there was more and more! Taking the tram up to it from the parking garage was so neat as well!

Such an amazing, overwhelming, incredibly astounding spot. First, it's huge. Make sure to leave yourself several hours if not a couple of days to see everything. The staff couldn't be nicer. We can't wait to come again.

If you're looking for a nice place to relax and be in a beautiful atmosphere, this is the perfect environment. The outside garden area is my personal favorite, but there is a lot more to see like art.

More impressive complex with views than art museum, but has enough interesting pieces to justify a half day visit. The free public tours fill up very quickly, so be sure to Q well in advance of your preferred tour.

This museum is absolutely stunning! It was my first time going, so I found everything to be stunning. The floors and tile work was splendid, as well as the windows and high ceilings. I enjoyed the architecture from beginning to end of my trip. The gardens were one of my favourite spots to be. The array of colours and plants is just too fantastic to miss out on.

Do reserve a whole day to stay here. This place is loaded with master pieces of arts. And the whole set up of this museum, make it not just like a museum, but also a garden, a place you can sit here for a cup of coffee.

This is an amazing museum, worth visiting for the architecture alone. The collection is outstanding and growing all the time; paintings are displayed in spacious, light-filled galleries. The medieval manuscripts have few equals; the decorative arts are displayed in wonderful period rooms. Special exhibits are superlative and always outstandingly displayed. I live in Washington, so I know museums, and I go to LA specifically to see the Getty.

I was so surprised to how great this place was. They had a lot of art, even from the masters, that can rival a small institution as the Getty. The surrounding gardens are also a sight to see. Our experience was with this museum was nothing more than excellent. A must go to when in Los Angeles.

Wow. Great way to spend a day. Parking garage is about a 15 minute walk up the hill, and faster than waiting for the tram. Gardens are amazing. Food is average and expensive. But, you re not coming here for the food...

One of the most beautiful museums around, great collection, and the white marble throughout the architecture makes you feel like you might be in heaven. Look ahead to plan your trip, because there's more than you can see in one day. Also, if you like the Getty, check out the Getty Villa in Malibu.

It's free and you just need to pay for parking. It's always clean and well maintained with a lot of diverse art to see as well as a great view of downtown LA. There are a lot to see and may take multiple trips if you like to read everything and not rush through it.
