I loved my time at The Getty. Our group came expecting the area to be in disrepair after the recent fires, but it was beautiful. The ride up was, as always, spectacular (even better after dark). It wasn't overly crowded, and we were able to take our time and linger in the various areas without feeling pressed for time. I would absolutely come back again.

Can you believe that you can come here just for free? Even they offer round trip train, free wifi, and chance to see so many articles. High quality. You have to visit here if you have plan to come LA. Nice night views.

You can never go wrong with a visit to the Getty center. They currently have an exhibition on classic Egypt and it was amazing to see. Some of your favorite historical period and rulers under the same roof.

Amazing art pieces and the vibe there is very eerie because you know almost everything there was done by someone who is now dead, you feel as if you were really at the time periods the art is in.

Incredible views and beautifully gardens. Lots of art and sculpture. A negative is that the exhibits are spread out over several buildings with lots of stairs and walking between them. Free admission but with a fee for parking. Must visit.

The art in the Getty Museum is world class, but the museum is poorly designed. It s easy to overlook a room because of the chopped-up design. You may miss seeing an extraordinary piece after you ve fought traffic to get here, waited in a long, long line for the shuttle from the parking lot and walked many unnecessary steps because the art is inside multiple separate buildings.

Amazing experience at the Getty. Admission is free, however parking is $20 per vehicle. Totally worth it! Lots of exhibits which are always rotating - friendly staff and tour guides. Exhibit security may be a little "too bored" at times.

I loved the train ride to the top. Since we were visiting this place late in the evening, we did not go into the museum. We just enjoyed the views of LA from all sides of this place. I would recommend this place to everyone visiting LA. The photos say it all!

The Getty was a great way to spend the day with the family. Come early! We arrived at 12 on a holiday break and the line to enter the parking structure was out to the freeway. Once we got in a parked the experience was great. Admission is free parking was $1. We ate at the cafe which had good food and something for everyone.

Great gem that the public can come see the artwork. Free admission but Parking costs $20 before 3 pm and $15 for after.
They Have a security check before entering.
You take a train uphill to the museum.
Several Buildings filled with historical arts dating back the 1500's. There is a nice garden with a pond. Relax and take in the scenic views of the city.

Nice

The Getty is amazing. My favorite part is the architecture and grounds, but the exhibits are stunning as well. With the constant great weather in LA and changing exhibits, there is never a bad time to go to the Getty. A must visit for any trip to LA.

This place is huge man. And it s beautiful. The museum complex and grounds are as much of a spectacle as the exhibits themselves. In fact I didn t spend much time within the galleries but rather walked around outside through the pathways, steps, and gardens. Highly recommend a visit!

They could hang postcards on the walls at the Getty, and it would still be worth spending a day here for the buildings themselves, the gardens, and the views. But on top of that the art collection is incredible and the exhibits are well curated.

Splendid collection of contemporary buildings set high above Northern Los Angeles. Art collection has some excellent painting from the early Renaissance on to more current artists. Completely worth slogging through LA traffic... Go late morning for a few hours. Pricey but great food selection in the Cafe, but unless you're feeling quite flush, the Restaurant is over the top on price. Entry is free but parking is $20!

A stunning museum with a great rotation of guest exhibitions, as well as an amazing standard collection. Be sure to check out the garden, and if you go when the weather is clear you can get the most impressive views of the Westside.

Perfect! The Getty is wonderful and amazing! We went there at 9:30 am. The underground was open. We took the tram to the center. The staff is friendly and helpful. The arts are impressive. The gardens are wonderful. The views are beautiful. The buildings are modern. We spent about 5 hours at the center. We paid $15 at the pay station for parking.
