This place is huge. Went to 5 different special / traveling exhibits last time. Each of the 4 main buildings takes hours to go through. Then there are all the different tours of the exhibits and gardens. Then the outdoor sculptures. The cafe is nice, though I take my own gluten free food. I just check my lunch bag at the coat check upon entering. The main restaurant does have many gluten free options. You do have to pay $20 for parking, $15 after 3 pm., all the tours are free.

I recommend starting at the special exhibit room as that is usually the most spectacular and tells a wonderful story. Then to the garden for some fresh air. Then to the North tower and slowly work your back down the hill. Do not forget the exhibit in the research center.

This is a must see if you're in LA. For a $15 fee for parking, an entire carload can experience what the Getty Center has to offer. A great deal! The art exhibits, views of LA and the restaurant has good tasting food to boot. I wish we could have spent more time here. I also like the openness of the center as well.

Spacious, bright, clean museum. It has good exhibits. However, there are some things that made the trip less enjoyable. The trams were out of use for a while so there was a little bit of a wait time to go up there. The food in the resturant was delicious but very overpriced.

The Getty is more than a museum, it s an architectural wonder. It s all free, just find transportation there as it s a ways away, like everything in LA. Give yourself and full afternoon there like 3-5 hours to take it all in. Take the architectural tour as it s fascinating and provided from very passionate staff. The Getty is a glistening gem in an off white colour scheme throughout. The space is a thoughtful consideration of modern minimalism with incorporation of bringing outdoor spaces, being nature, and overlapping with indoor spaces. Stairways are visible from the outside. Geometry is everywhere. Nothing is left to random chances with this space, well except for the garden is is a complete opposite of the building layout. The minimalism you get with architecture is juxtapose with the maximalism of the garden. Colours everywhere beautiful laid out. Chances are you will be spending most of your time in the garden as it is spectacular from every camera vantage point. The Getty is a Must for everyone whether you love art and architecture or not!

Parking was awful!! Took 25 minutes to get to a spot. Not sure if you can park off sepulveda at the temple and walk across the street, it would save a lot of time. We're grabbed umbrellas and walked down to the parking lot. Super crowded on Saturday, I would recommend going during the week.

Amazing building and view, l was a bit disappointed with expositions expecting more modern and up to date. Worth it but if you're European the medieval tapestry you do not want to see again

Beautiful and architecturally fantastic! I love that the museum in done in several separate buildings you have to come outside to get to them. You'll see their immaculate and beautiful landscaping. The flowers and the manicured lawn is almost begging you to come sit and take deep breaths while taking a quick, while may not be needed, rest. It's a great place to visit on a beautiful weather day.

The in midst of all of the clean modern edges there is a balance of water and beautiful gardens of flowers and trees. The paintings and drawings that are on exhibit to the statues, period furniture and things is all fantastic.

They do have umbrellas you can borrow for when you're walking around outside on a warm day or if there is a sprinkle of rain on your visit.

Amazing buildings and facilities, and satisfying selection of art. The free admissions are definitely a plus. Food on site was decently priced and eating it while looking over the gardens was definitely a highlight.

Absolutely love this museum. They have great exhibits, and they get a lot of amazing touring exhibits. This is definitely a great all day event all year long. The architecture is beautiful, the views are amazing and their food options are great for all budgets. Also, you only have to pay for parking, there are no ticket fees. So I recommend carpooling.

We in Los Angeles are fortunate that the Getty brings us art and beauty from around the world and are able to view it free (relatively) of charge. A perfect place to visit for any folks visiting Southern California or any long-time resident looking for an engaging and relaxing afternoon, with breathtaking views to match.

The one place you will never regret. The care and attention to details in design cleanliness and maintenance of Getty Museum is just awesome. You probably need at least two days to completely enjoy the whole museum fully.
