In all honesty its just mouldy green water coupled with thousands of people stood in front of a sign holding the walky talky players to their heads. You're not even aloud to touch the actual water to see how warm it is. Worth a visit if you are in Bath anyway but I wouldn't go out of my way.
Excellent sight. Very well preserved. Covid-19 precations are very good. Only problem was the constant pressure to move ahead. Many of the visitors also didn't keep social distance at the beginning of the tour at the terrace.
Very informative and cool to check out. Good for all ages and they give you free headsets to listen to all of the interesting facts about the baths. Took about an hour to tour the building, but you can definitely spend some time here.
Very interesting. Fascinating to see the fantastically preserved structures, functioning original hot springs, and to learn about ancient Roman Britain and its culture. The only other place I have seen ruins so well preserved is Pompei! Don't forget to try the unique water at the end!
Absolutely beautiful place. The culture and history behind this place is incredible. Spent a few hours in here on my 26th birthday and didn't regret a second of it. Bath in general is a lovely place
Very very expensive visit but the family had a nice time seeing a piece of history. Lots to see here, with some interesting information. Loved the way the videos were projected into the rooms, looked great.
Historic place, that is still preserved. Good to explore in less than an hour. There's a free taste of the spa water for the daring, hahaha! Close to the church and Sunday market to maximize the time.
A great trip - a canter - through Bath s Roman history. Everyone should do this once. The experience is a little like the Roman colosseum but smaller, and with real working water works and actors in costume!
A fascinating place to visit. Self guided or guided tours are available. It takes around 2,5 hours to see everything. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Bath as a must see
Great place to see the Roman history in Bath, entrance fee is OK but it can get very busy so be careful when you go if you have a choice. Staff were friendly and helpful.
What an amazingly interesting place to visit, quite hard to believe how clever the Romans were, a must visit at the moment! Very quiet, not packed with tourists and able to see and take your time.
An interesting place to visit, although most of the exhibits were very 'similar.' An easy place to get lost in, it reminded me of Ikea but without the meatballs or coffee! Yes, no coffee shop? Well there might have been, but by the time we found our way out, we were just glad to have escaped. I was a little upset to hear, (over the free audio guide), that the statues - the things that really make the baths look authentic - were made in the late 19th century! hardly Roman and no mention of this in their publicity before you pay to enter and hear it on the audio guide. Otherwise an expensive, but interesting place to visit.
I loved this place it was amazing could have spent hours there and the audio guide was great, but it was absolutely packed and couldnt see alot or stand for long looking without being pushed on. There should be a maximum amount of people allowed in at a time. But absolutely worth a visit.
So much more than just the bath that's in all of the pictures! We went in the evening for the "torchlight tour" on a week day and had plenty of space to take our time and look at everything!
Great restoration and exhibitions on a Roman bath house. A little expensive for the overall experience. "This is such a rare and extremely important relic of the Roman Empire in England" seemed to be said about almost everything.
Entry price was good for what you get very interesting, would be a great place for school trips and historians to go visit. It has a nice little shop that sells all sorts of roman things coins, bath water, keepsakes etc.
Bath, what not to love about this city! Full of history. The Roman Bath is like a masterpiece laying around in England. Must see from the inside well worth your money.
A wonderful museum with plenty of history. although the small inner rooms are crowded and stuffy when there are large numbers of visitors, as there were during my visit, the atmosphere is completely different as you exit the main museum into the open air bath complex as everyone spreads out. Well worth a visit at any time of the year, and certainly worth the ticket price.
Bath is one of the most beautiful towns I have seen and Roman Baths is a must to experience. Been here twice now. The second visit was even better than the first. They have been it so tourist friendly and added a modern touch to it. The staff and guides are very friendly and never hesitated to answer any questions or interact with my little one with his hundred questions. Highly recommended if you are visiting Bath.
Well worth a visit in Bath lots of interactive displays worth getting the audio guide as it explains a lot. It's good getting to try natural spring water so doesn't taste great
I loved this place, something I'd wanted to do since childhood. Didn't disappoint. It was fascinating, set up well, staff are helpful, especially the period characters were great fun. You get very close to the exhibits. A great time to be had.
Excellent place to visit, with our discount we could make a visit to 2 further close by museums before we left for home, included in the entrance price. We were given audio phones that talked us around the different areas, what a great idea, although we didn't visit the cafe or shop we both thought the entire visit well worth it.
Alot of history here, didn't have to que up for tickets and it includes audio guide. The building is surrounded by statues and the baths are very unique. Everything is labelled telling you about the history of them. Certain parts can be congested with tourist. A place you shoukd visit if in Bath.
We went on a gorgeous summers day! You get a little hand held device as your tour guide with numbered plaques around the buildings to find out the information to type in and listen to. Very effective. There are tour guides on hand too for extra information.
Brilliant layout. We went 2.5 hours before closing so it was lovely and quiet. No one left by closing. Incredible tour by Jess with the free hourly tour.
It's quite a cool place to visit. Remember that you can't touch the water! Also, if you wanna listen to all the guided tour it will take you a good 45 minutes to get through the whole thing even though the baths themselves aren't that big.
Amazing place. Its incredible how they were able to offer this experience of actually being there so many centuries after it was built and buried for hundreds of years. They have glass Floors so you can see the original stone floors underneath. There are pieces of carved figures in the original areas they were supposed to be. They have scale models. You can taste the thermal waters and take some home with you if you want. The info is very academic and easy tho understand.its a national museum. Dates from BC.
Very interesting, lots to see and lots of information delivered by an audio phone, free guided tours and plenty of guides to ask questions should you have any, definitely worth a visit
