What an amazing place! Spent an absorbing three hours here and could easily have stayed longer! Although I got here early it was still busy, a few school parties but reception staff were very efficient at moving everyone along. Once inside More
Lots to see and learn. Really brings Roman baths to life. Great audio guide and it's included in the admission fee.
Brilliant. And very informative tour. Well worth a visit.
A lot of history there, and the audio guide it's fantastic. It's so expensive but you can't visit bath and avoid this place.
Very educational. It's great to see historic places like this restored and preserved.
The entry price is reasonable for these days and does include a free audio guide. There are also free guided tours of you prefer the human touch.
Great historical site to see that is well laid out and extremely interesting. Don't forget to try the water at the end!
Is amazing how the water of that time is there this days
Fantastic interpretation of the city's Roman past, a must do trip, great value
Really nice and worth the price. Good overall experience but if you have seen Roman Baths elsewhere then it's more of the same.
Very interesting and well explained. I loved it both times I went! However it can get quite busy in there so just take that in mind. Allow yourself 1h30/2h to see all of it :)
Interesting however I found the one way system, mask wearing and distancing to be tough. It does take a bit or of the enjoyment but still worth seeing if you have never been, staff was friendly and tried to make the visit as normal as possible.
I found the recorded commentary a bit dry, Bryson had recorded some that are extra but I only found it was his opinion and not informative, again my opinion.
Visit is recommended as it is landmark for the city.
I was concerned my claustrophobia would kick in but it's actually quite roomy inside. The stairwells are very large. Amazing museum!!
This was, undoubtedly, my favorite place to visit during my UK trip. It was amazing. My boyfriend felt that the actual guided tour was superior to the audio tour, however, I felt that both are great. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave a great tour full of interesting info. The baths were amazing look at and learn about. We did the Torchlight Package, which includes dinner. I believe the package might be slightly more worthwhile in summer when the baths are open past dark. However, it was still a great experience and the dinner was lovely as well.
It was pretty interesting, but it is gross thinking that some people try to drink the water. Ew... It's worth it to check out, but I wouldn't spend more than an hour there.
Very very busy, uncomfortably so. Also very expensive for what it is. However it's a true wonder and there are some amazing things to see here.
BLEW MY MIND!!
Much larger than I expected so that was exciting. Way more architecture to walk through than I thought there would be so it became so much more incredible of an experience. Gorgeous and creative. Well beyond their time.
Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!! Inexpensive, no lineup and the audio tour is perfect. You should expect to get through it in. 1.5-2 hrs depending how many audio clips you listen to.
I always loved the roman culture and its architecture! Visiting roman baths was like unraveling my desire of closely looking and appreciating the roman architecture and its culture. Must visit. Its beautiful.
One of baths greatest museums and representations of roman times. Really enjoy walking around and learning more about roman times in bath. The staff there are really attentive and professional, is only a few minutes away from the train station.
Well worth a visit and impressive systems in place to ensure you are informed of what is around you but you are able to move at your own pace.
Well-organized history lesson, supported with audio guides. We were told to get tickets in advance, but that's not allowed in person (only online).
I stumbled on this and was really surprised. If you like history it is must.
It was interesting to see how the Romans tried to build their community in UK. The team has tried to preserve and bring the old place to life again.
Totally different architecture than the rest of the country. Good holiday spot for relaxing.
Interesting attraction. Takes around 2 hours to walk around it all if you have the time to take in all the information. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Very interesting but a little bit expensive..Bath is a so beautifull town.
Incredible interpretive facility detailing Roman life and the configuration of this structure as it was originally used. There are ear audio guides with multiple languages in addition to a heavy amount of reading available in English. Extremely busy in summer. I would recommend purchasing your tickets online and visiting in the morning.
Loved it. The museum was much better than I anticipated. Would recommend to anyone interested in British history/Roman history.
Worth seeing as it's so unique, audio guide is good, expect crush of tourists
Excellent value for money, fascinating and inspiring.
It was amazing. So much to see, so much history, very interesting. Time just flies by as you learn
Took a tour bus here and to Stonehenge and it was an absolute treat, super memories made!
An amazing experience. Lots of fascinating history. A must do when visiting Bath or if you love Roman history.
History of the Roman and old english people. And this is not just a Roman bath, that is the knowledge of the architecture of them as well
When you are at Bath, it's essential that you spend an hour and a half at Roman Baths beside the Abbey. The authority has done tremendous work to preserve the ancient remains.
beautiful man made Roman bath area in Bath city in UK. Worth putting up a nite here
Loved it! This was the second visit and it never fails to impress. Lots to see and do plus being able to interact is great.
I went to Bath to drink the waters. It was disgusting, but that was to be expected. The actual Roman Baths are very cool looking and well worth checking out if you get the chance.
Lovely place to visit.. interesting history and more than you realise underneath.. You get to see the real hot spa water from the source too!!
A nice, historic place to visit whilst in Bath. We visited whilst the social distancing measures were in place so in my personal opinion, it was slightly frustrating having to wait until the people infront of us were done before we could move forward so there was an awful lot of stopping and waiting.
Really fab, audio tour really useful. Way too many people in there today though, couldn't see many of the artifacts.
A must see in Bath; make sure to use audio guides, really interesting and helpful.
Bath took me back in time. Roman ruins in Great Britain? Worth the trip!
Loved it will worth the price and the two hours of walking around learning about the Baths where very interesting
Awesome place. They need to bring people here from greece to show them how its done
Amazing historic place. Hard to believe it still stands today
One of the most interesting Roman ruins I have ever visited. Highly recommended, the only minor complaint is that it was very crowded.
Surprising, historic Roman location in the middle of England with excellent artifacts, a good self-guided audio tour available in numerous languages, an interesting mix of live actors and projected holograms of Romans from the time period and a very nice gift shop. Definitely worth a look!
Really interesting. Shame you can't get in the water.
Total chill out. The cost seems high , but the experience is worth it. Very relaxing just floating in the waters. The Romans knew!
Really impressive, but Roman is only the main pool itself and some additional smaller pools. The hall of the main pool is not preserved, it's just an outside pool with (partially ugly) "modern" buildings around. Impressive are also the admission fees...
Very interesting and informative audio tour, if you are in Bath it's brilliant, but you will be missing out if you don't visit the Roman Baths, definitely worth a visit
A beautiful place to visit ,was quite fun 100% recommend
Beautiful Place. However the Water is too dirty. If two thousands years ago without technology the Romans were able to use clean Water. I Wonder. Why today, this baths don't sanitize the Water si that users can take a bath there? It makes no sense. Means that today's Administration is terrible. Despist of that, the bath are outstanding.
We enjoyed the tour! You can go through at your own pace, with an audio guide that's like a telephone you hang around your neck and type in a number by each area. They don't allow push chairs for babies, but they had a spot to park them and babywearing backpacks to lend for free! When we went, there were period clothes to try, and a few period actors, one showed us a modern remake of an old Roman writing device.
Tons of history, information and bath rooms to explore
The area surrounding the Baths was a great deal of fun and the Baths were extremely interresting.
Wonderful ,the whole tour round made things come more interestingly by the audio machine.
