The Roman "Bawhths" [ ***indigenous 'posh' pronounciation guide for the casual American. ;) ] :

It is a detail attenuated, solo audio-assisted tour that is taken at your own pace. There is a lot to see, so be prepared to snap plenty of pics of individual exhibits with the wall plaque printed text info to review at your leisure.

At the end of the tour, you are encouraged to sample a free sip of the 'warm elixir'. So far it hasn't cured cancer, or halted global climate change, but it literally is an palpable interaction that becomes a part of you.

There is a fairly significant wait to get inside and the price is quite high, however, it was entirely worth it. There is an audio tour throughout and the museum is quite a bit larger than one would expect from outside. You could easily spend 3 hours there.

I came here with my wife as we had 1/2 a day to spend in Bath, England. The Roman Baths are amazing and the history of the site not only dates back to ~70 AD but the reconstruction in the 1800 s is also amazing history of the region. The site had numerous baths in the Roman era and even sacrifices were performed on the site. This place would have been a modern spa even by today s standards. The amount of artifacts is amazing, could not recommend higher.

A visit to the Roman Baths is a must if you are visiting this town. You do have to book in advance due to Covid-19. It does take some time to walk round the baths due to the one way system. However, this was organised well and many staff were present to ensure everyone was safe.

We all enjoyed the free audio tour that was easy to use and did not require headphones. I must admit without the audio it might be less interesting to younger children. My 9 year old and 12 year old asked many questions during the visit. Unfortunately I did not visit the shop due to the queue. Maybe that could be visited next time I visit Bath.

Masks were optional at the time of our visit. We chose to wear them.

I absolutely adored shooting a wedding here, it was a sunrise ceremony so made for a very unique atmosphere. I believe they also offer sunset ceremony's too which could look amazing but it really would be special at any time of day. Hope to return!

Audio devices were great especially for the kids.

Amazing museum. It was very crowded when we went- almost couldn't walk through the rooms. We opted not to get the audio tour because we were pressed for time. Amazing how old this structure is.

An interesting visit if you're a fan of history and/or museums. Free audio guide tour available. The tour starts with the beautiful outer pool viewed from above, followed by inner rooms of the spa containing relics and old status/excavated objects. The life of the Romans is explained nicely using subtle projections on the walls of the spa rooms. The tour ends on the bottom level of the outer pool, accompanied by a taste of the bath water for those who want it.

I spent 3+ hours in there without realising it... Great and interesting place to visit. Great history and a great experience overall. Very well set. The guided tour on the hour every hour is very good and free. The information on the pod is brilliant. Great little activities for the kids. For 3+ hours I forgot where I was. There are so many videos and whologramms

Amazing museum around the old Roman baths. It might be bigger than you might think, covering the area around the baths, plus the spring, and a large museum area of the surrounding ruins and Roman Britain in general.

I easily spent 2.5 hours here and didn't cover everything. There is a good audioguide included in the ticket cost. It can be very busy, so I would advise arriving as early as possible. It's something you can't miss if you're in Bath.

The roman bath is a rather love it or hate it kinda trip. If you're an enthusiast for the roman civilization then perhaps you would enjoy the artistic salvation of roman influence on the ancient britannica. Otherwise you'd find yourself in a rather unhygienic bath area of the dead, left on display for all

Lots to see and it's attractively presented around the original Roman bath and hot spring. Although it's been rebuilt over the centuries there's a lot of the Roman site still to see.
In these days of Covid they have taken good precautions to keep people safe. It's expensive, but worth it, we spent more than two hours there.

Had to edit the review for covid-19 real shame as this site is very poorly organised with no social distancing as large groups causing choke points and long queues with no staff guiding or controlling flow. Would advise to stay clear for now as really spoilt the visit and having been a number of times not the same experience.

Fantastic learning experience. Took the family and it was fascinating for all. We were all given free audio guides with our ticket which were very user friendly and really made our experience. Definitely worth a visit. Surrounding area is also beautiful.
