Roman bath is full of history, lots to learn. The place lives up with live performance by costumed assistants. They can answer your questions, takes photos with you. A little to busy time to time, as it's so popular.

Came here for a birthday weekend away with my partner and this was one of the highlights. I wish I'd had more time to listen to all the tour points but we had booked at the spa so had to leave. This is an amazing place, the architecture is stunning and the audio tour is superb, a really brilliant way to learn all the history at your own pace and in whatever order you choose. I would love to come back with my children and follow the children's audio tour around with them. Highly recommended and well worth the entry fee.

Undoubtedly a 5 star attraction - a unique Roman site where the thermal waters do still, to this day, percolate up to the surface and directly fill the pools with warm 'mineral' water that you can actually drink. You tour the baths and More

An amazing experience, not to be missed. Make sure you get in the right queue - although there were dozens of people outside they were in a group tours queue and as a family we were able to walk straight in with no delay. The exhibits and audio guide are terrific, with some interesting additions from Bill Bryson.

What a beautiful city! Loved visiting the Roman baths. It s so much more than just the springs but an incredible journey through the history of the site- so well presented. To think that this water was once rain that fell a thousand years ago in mind boggling. You even get to taste the water at the end of the tour . Be sure to take an audio pack which explains so much about each artifact....

Really interesting. The audio guides were great. If you're into history this will be a stop you want to make. If you take a tour and didn't pre-pick your ticket don't worry you can buy them when you get there. Its a risk because the lines might be long and take a while but if there short check it out. This gives you the added benefit of not having to go at a specific time with the rest of the group as well.

Well worth a visit to see how the Romans built the baths, they were extremely good at what they did. Only two grumbles, (1) it should be much cheaper for students (2) the toilets were in need of a deep clean (see photo) otherwise it would have been

Fantastic and well preserved Roman bath in the heart of Bath.

Ticket prices also includes an audio guide in a range of European languages and Chinese. They are a really great way to access the entire site.

The remains are all well kept and offer a great insight into the baths history and also life at the baths.

It does get busy as the site isn't that big. However with great views and access to the baths it is worth it.

Historically interesting spot in England. Just don't touch the water now a day. Waking through let's your imagination conjure up what it would have been like. Well preserved and in a town with stopping in.

The tickets are on the high side. But the museum is well done and very professional. Its worth the pennies. Have a go at the spring water at the end of the tour. It's very "unlike" the normal water we have...

An amazing place, but it was extremely busy. This lessened my experience. It's almost too popular. It was difficult at times to see some of the exhibits. But besides that, it was a great exhibit.

I couldn't fault the Roman Baths in any way; perfect for those of all ages and presented in a really informative and interesting way! The relatively cheap cost ever adds to the appeal of this wonderful attraction!

The audio tour which you are provided with for free is 100% necessary in order to fully explore the secrets and history of the Baths. The insights from Bill Bryson somewhat add to the experience, but they can be done without. If you've got kids, the Audio Tour with Michael Rosen helps to keep them fully engaged, whilst also showing them the history as well. There's also an activity sheet if you want it.

There's nothing to fault the place with: it's brilliant!

I lived 8 years in Bath and only went to this when I later brought my wife back for a visit. I was missing out all those years I didn't check this place out. It is an amazing and informative museum and interactive for kids.

The baths are awesome. The place is much bigger than I expected, there's a big museum in there with lots of ancient Roman history. The way they built the baths and how they heated the water was super interesting. Lots of interactive videos and information in this place!! Definitely a must see while in Bath!! Great views of the cathedral and a really nice surrounding area!

The Roman Baths date back about 2,000 years. Built as a sort of religious temple and place to cleanse and take in the thermal effects of the nearby natural springs. They Roman Baths were buried and forgotten for quite some time. They were rediscovered in 1878 by the then mayor of the city. He made it his goal to unearth this treasure and share it with the world. The Roman Baths opened to the public in 1897.
The baths are open all year round and host everything from holiday markets to music events. Unfortunately, the public is no longer to use the Roman Baths for actual bathing, but there is a modern day bath spa nearby that can easily accommodate that need.
The Roman Baths are one of the most popular UK tourist destinations, attracting over a million visitors per year. Plan on spending a few hours touring the space and consider dining at the cool restaurant. You can get to the Roman Baths in 90 minutes by catching the train at London's Paddington Station.

Quite an amazing archeological site. Of course, being from Italy, the stage is set high on certain things. However, I was particularly impressed by how the architecture and engineering of Roman times was carefully explained at this site. Definitely go for the free guided tour of the baths, the people there are excellently prepared. I learnt a lot and if you want to know more they are not afraid of going into more detail. A bit expensive overall, which is a pity because this is definitely a must go in Bath.

Highly informative about the history behind the Celtic and Roman goddess. Staff are very helpful. The site is brilliantly preserved with models helping you understand the beauty of the bath in its hay day.

A rich experience that is worth to go. The audio guide gives both typical information regarding the history of the baths over 2 millennia, and archeology that was necessary to understand the significance of the Baths, but also commentary that gave perspective.

If you are in Bath this is absolutely a "must see". We did it in combination with the Fashion Museum (which was also quite nice) and spent more than three hours there. There is are a lot of displays to see and the building itself is worth your attention. Most of our last hour was spent on the guided tour (included in the price of admission) which was very good. Our group was a manageable size (about a dozen) and the guide was great. She was enthusiastic and informed, and was able to respond to questions from the group with authority and confidence. All in all a very nice afternoon.

Nice place to visit! Queue moved quite quickly, but the area is so crowded with tourists. Would be better if they had more written explanations, rather than relying only on the audio guides to explain things.

Would recommend joining the free tours they have, at every hour. The guide will bring you around and tell you more about the baths, shouldn't take more than 45 min.

You can try the spring water at the end, but it's really an acquired taste!

We loved this town and the baths were amazing to see! I took my 12 and 15 year old daughters hoping they would like the history of it and not be bored, and they loved it! My oldest is in European history right now and enjoys history, so loved everything about England. My youngest loved some of the things we did, not everything.

This place is incredible. As an Engineer, I am still amazed at how the Romans built all these things 2,000 years ago.
The City of Bath has done a fantastic job of recreating how the Roman's lived in that era.
A must see & visit. Allow 2 hours on crowded days, due to crowds

Highly Recommended.
