Long times waiting around damped what would have been a perfect day.
The water inside the pool is a feeling.
The whole city reflects the importance of that place.
Really interesting but it was too crowded. I couldn't see many content because of it.
It worths visiting. You won't regret ... 10% discount with city sightseeing bus ticket ...
Been there couple of times. Historic place worth a visit, though ticket prices are bit high.
Well laid out and very informative. In-depth review of all the historic fact about the baths and those that used them.
Wow really great experience!! Wonderful place to spend the day.
Courteous and professional staff. Such an amazing place to visit if you're a history buff like me and my son. Incredible place and beautiful city!
Well worth a visit very interesting! Wish we could of had a swim
Excellent museum, but avoid kids holidays as it is extremely busy
Excellent museum explaining the history and evolution of the Roman baths.
It's so fascinating! And the museum does a great job of helping you understand what it was like in Roman times with videos and helpful free audio guides. They even have a special audio guide for children and one by Bill Bryson which makes you really feel like you are walking around with an expert.
Not worth the drive from London just by itself. Team it up with Stonehenge
Loved this place. Make sure to get tickets beforehand. Usually a long queue is almost always there.
Great exhibit but only worth about 1/2 of the 17 pound ($20) entrance fee.
One of the sacrad water bath over flow engineering system.
Good fun to explore ! Feel like royalty when l imagine to be here in victorian times !
Interesting place to understand about the Romans in Bath. Make sure you do the guided tour on the hour after exiting the museum section of the place. Our tour guide was wonderful and passionate when explaining everything.
The tour was very informative, with the option of taking a free audio around on the tour. I preferred walking around without the audio personally but it was a nice touch. It was lovely sitting by the main bath in the sun. Word of warning: don't taste the water at the end!
Summary based on 2 visits:
--great audio tour
--well presented with decent lighting, signage, and visibility
--ok cost considering its unique nature
Probably best for 14+.
Really good experience. The projections and actor really enhanced the experience, bringing the Romans to life.
Great place to spend a couple of hours. Interactive displays really bring the place to life and audio guides really good
A back to the past must in England. Would take my kids there one day.
Absolutely loved it. Took us about four hours to see it all. The hand held devices that gave you information about each part was brilliant.
Lovely day out with son spent longer than we thought here very interesting also enjoyed free guide half way through visit
This palace was fascinating! Highly recommend visiting, and you should get the audio guide, they have a whole lot of different audio tours on the same guide depending on what you are interested in, like the architecture, excavations works, history of the baths, and even an awesome commentary done by Bill Bryson, who is amazing!! The excavations are continuing, so it will be different every time we go back. I look forward to taking my children here to see this amazing ancient history.
Amazing historical place. The introduction is detailed.
Not what I expected. Much bigger and very informative. Didn t use the speaking tour device. I found it heavy and cumbersome, but just to walk around myself using the information boards and plaques was adequate. A really good visit.
Take your time traveling back to the Roman times. It's very easy to visualize using a bit of imagination and the modern technology that has recreated the atmosphere. Don't be in hurry, grab a free recorded guide and relax and listen as you are transported to the past.
Awesome Roman site. Wasn t sure what to expect. The design of this site allows you to really get close to all parts and understand what it may have looked like when it was built. You can even see the spring where the water originates. The audio tour is included in the fee which is a nice touch.
Really friendly and we'll run. Very informative and the hand held guides were great for hearing impaired individuals with hearing aids.
Take a dip in history! Such an amazing place..where every turn is a brush with history..
Expensive as outings go, but well worthwhile. Free audio guids catering to different levels - children version as well as for adults- make it really nice just to wonder at your own pace. There is children area for little ones to relax and draw if they want to or to dress as a Roman. The museum is restored beautifully and there are a lot of historical artifacts to look at. We have been 4 times in the last year and planning to go again. My six-year old lives the place to bits.
So many examples of Roman engineering in one place.
Great piece of history, audio guides are very informative
MUST SEE sightpoint, ancient architectures and perfect audio guide gadget help u to understand those items.
I always believed that architecture can tell you many stories and imagination can add up the spice needed... The Roman Bath was a hidden gem for me in my last trip to London... Bath is one of the most beautiful city i have been to... It's one of the oldest cities in London and it's architecture sure takes you to the tour of what a marvel European architecture is....
Fantastic morning spent wandering around the Roman Baths, excellent presentation and information around the tour. A hand held audio device gives you the descriptions and stories, and drink the water I really liked it wish I had it on tap
If you have tried to navigate the Baths before in a wheelchair you could not get down to the Bath's but now that they have put lifts in its great Thank you BNES
Great historic location. Loads of information about Roman life and a great day out.
Great day out, don't go for a gap fill.. it is a relaxing walk around covering the history of the healing waters of Bath. Great value.
A must visit place. Good way to know history of 2000 years ago activity. The place is very well maintained. The feel factor is really good.
Well preserved tradition and extremely well managed.
Must visit place if u visiting UK, the staff are dressed in the old Roman times and gives u the same feeling as one can imagine of old time time just stops here.
Take a time out and relax at the steps
The famous Pump Rooms..Abbey and Roman Baths with brilliant entertainment outside
This was a must do and great place to visit, the audio guide was very informative.
My husband and I had a wonderful time touring the Roman Baths. There was lots of information and supplemental displays that helped us learn more about the baths. The audio tour was very easy to use and was very informative. The ruins were wonderfully preserved. I saw many people touching the water even though they're not supposed to. I really enjoyed being able to drink the purified bathwater at the end of the tour. The place is busy and oftentimes we were shoulder to shoulder with people but it was worth it. A must not miss historical site.
A great look into Roman history. The self guided tour was okay, I would have liked to have been given the opportunity to ask more questions.
Had a really nice time here, its full of history and insight to the romans. Alot bigger than it looks on the outside. Definitely worth a visit, absolutely stunning place to see. Cant wait to go back and visit again 10/10
Well planned. Friendly staff. Free audio guides are great. Well done Bath.
Because its so old, but it was freezing cold there, prob best to go in the summer month's
Gorgeous, and not st all crowded. Some quite well preserved baths that really give you a sense of the scale and grandeur of the traditional Roman baths. A nice break from the crazy crowds of the more popular museums.
Beautiful building with history loved looking around.
Very interesting museum that's incredibly well documented. Loads of detailed information about the exhibits can be gained from both signs as well as audio tours in several different languages.
Fantastic to think that they found the only hot springs in this country all those years ago
Still fabulous wonderful children's interactive exhibits.
Very interesting museum, enjoyed the displays, however, way too overcrowded...large school groups ruined the majority of the exhibit for us
Fascinating, really good interpretation. Not great for very young children but for adults and older children, great historical experience.
Really liked the Bill Bryson parts in the audio guide! Also, Bath Uni students get in for free!
A must-visit when visiting the Bath area of Britain. Fantastic setting and displays I especially like the holograms. Oh those Romans they really knew how to treat themselves.
So much history! Beautiful and fascinated by all the Roman Brilliance!!
A lot to see and very interesting. Slightly pricey but a good experience overall
This was worth the stop since we were in Bath anyway. The tour is self guided and you get an easy to use handset to provide explanatory information. The staff was helpful and enthusiastic about their piece of history. The interpretation was well done. Worth the stop and time if yiy are in the area.
