Nice to see something so old still in such good shape.. however there is a strong mouldy odour down below which made it difficult to breath ( I have allergies ) Wish that was made clear. Also. They allow too many people in at once. Which makes enjoying the museum difficult.
I recommend going when the tour groups not there.

Outstanding experience and beautifully restored museum. The sacred spring and reconstruction of temple facade were the highlights. Natural spring till bubbling after millennia!
Came here on a group tour, but walked around with an audio guide. Extremely informative and interesting! The Roman history mixed with Celtic roots is fascinating
Brilliant! Child friendly too. Loved the paper activities as well as the convenient walky talky's. Get here early or on a week day as it gets super busy!
I get it, if you've sluggishly traversed the countryside in those godawful British trains and made it, somehow, to Bath then you HAVE to see the baths. Imagine the social embarassment at the office on Monday if you didn't. But there are other better, nicer, richer experiences in Bath apart from this superannuated Roman swimming pool.
It's quite expensive and it's quite green. Really green. The sort of green you encounter when you return from a camping holiday in Crete and realise you forgot to ask Gary down the hall to maintain your fishtank.
But the rest of Bath is a charm - why not try the Pump Room just next door. It's charming. It has a violin player. It has tablecloths. It has a little fountain inside with the very same water as the Roman Baths.
1. No sludge. 2. No horrible handheld electronic tourist guide things. 3. No backpacks. 4. Virtually no children
If you see the rest of charming Bath but don't have time to see the baths, your experience will none the poorer.
This didn't really impress me all that much. The museum is okay but unless you're super interested in Roman ruins, you may want to spend your time doing something else. We also had to wait for ages to even be let in because there were so many tour groups.
Been living in Bath for a few months now but only just got round to a tour of The Baths this week, as we had a friend visiting. It was way more interesting a trip than I expected, largely because of the excellent audio tour that is part of the admission.
Fascinating place to visit and I strongly recommend it to all visitors.
Great place to visit worth the money. The tour is very informational. Very busy so get there early or late ad busy in the middle of the day. Staff very helpful. Things for children to do as well so good for family.
Famous historic place. Visited the Abbey which was breath taking. Wish I could have gotte in to the baths but the que was too long. Nice peacefull beautiful city.
Great look into the past. The audio tour is very good and easy to use. Well worth the time to visit. We did not have time to visit the abbey, but understand it too is very interesting.
Interesting museum. Visited during time of Covid - well organized social distancing...timed entry, 1 way, staff everywhere to enforce 2m gaps, sanitizer throughout, even offer of big umbrellas to keep cool in summer heat.
I arrived at 10:00AM and beat the queues. Friendly staff, was offered an audio guide but chose not to take one. I wandered through at my own pace and found it all very fascinating. The recreations projected throughout the site immerse you in the history of the area.
No words to describe this spectacle. It's a lovely museum restored and maintained well and a great story telling experience too! Keep 3-4 hours if you are a history buff
Good price for the size of museum. Bigger than I thought! Really interesting and the COVID adaptations were managed well. Kids might not find it super interesting right now due to the lack of interactive things because of COVID.
Fantastic, great experience & found it very informative. More museum than expected & the roman baths interesting. I did taste the water, it had a very distinctive taste. The cometary is very detailed & interesting. A great 2hrs spent. Highly recommended.
Its a nice place to visit. Teaches you quite a bit of history of how everything came to be in bath. Went on bank holiday and had to wait just 20min in the que so not too bad at all.
As a Classicist by training I thought this was an excellent exhibition and fascinating set of remains. The audioguide was really clear and had lots of interesting archaeological details. Totally worth the ticket price. Nice to go in the dark.
A must see if you're visiting Bath! Plan to go early and give yourself enough time to see all the exhibits, the audio guide is included in the cost of admission. I missed the guided tour (on the hour), but the audio guide was really thorough and provided lots of information. A sip from the springs is also included and not to be missed!
This was a lot cooler and more in depth than I was expecting! The majority of the temple may have been lost, but the work that went into recreating it for reference was fantastic!
This here's an ancient era of the city with its well preserved architecture. An educational trip to a bit of Rome in Britain. Shoutout to the staff who never fail to be doing their best round the clock to keep the place in top shape. Great all round
A must-go and the reason to travel to Bath. The audio guides were really helpful for one to understand more about the history and culture of the place. Kids friendly too as there is a animated/kid s version of the guide!
This is one of the most informative tour/ visit. The museum is well kept. It is so fascinating to know ages before civilization arise there was this kind of beauty and rich culture.
The ticket fee is worth every experience. Don t hesitate to drink a cup of water at the end of the tour ;)
